As Mindful Influencers - we need to have our eye on the latest trends. And while you know Instagram is where I love to play - LinkedIn is a platform to pay attention too, especially if you are in the B2B field. I’m talking business coaches, marketing strategiests, influencers connecting with brands, etc. 

 

That’s why I brought in Jessica Nazarali on the podcast to talk about LinkedIn & how she helps her clients leverage this platform. 

 

Here’s some background on Jessica. After earning her business degree, Jessica pursued a prestigious corporate path. People who are on LinkedIn have either a business or a job. It could work really well if you have a B2B business. People are on LinkedIn for business opportunities. People are expecting that on LinkedIn vs. the first thing people are doing on Instagram is not for business opportunities. 

 

[11:00] How to Use LinkedIn (even if You Have a Side Hustle)

 

You can only have one profile on LinkedIn so the first step would be to check your contract & make sure that you are able to update your profile on LinkedIn. The next step is to start connecting with your ideal clients. You can use sales navigator that is free for 30 days. You start searching with who your ideal client is for example business coaches, sales coaches, etc. You can be specific around the area they live in. A list of people will come up & then you connect with them and have a conversation with them and invite them to a FB group. You can add them into a LinkedIn group if they are interested in the topic in your area, ex: business owners in the NYC area. Then you can invite them to speak with you.

You can create value by sharing the what that you can do along with the high level how.  There is no way to really give away too much as the experience of working with you is going to be so different than giving away free information on social media. Having someone look at your unique business & give personalized feedback.

Jessica encourages that we should always ask ourselves - why should I work with you over working with anyone else. If you do not believe that your offering is amazing and awesome - that confidence is not going to come across in your marketing. You need to think about how you’re delivering it, what are the outcomes & benefits, and how it is different than what other people are offering.
