Today we cover Luke Chapter 10:1 to verse 32. Jesus sends out seventy disciples to spread his teachings to the land. It was from these early seeds that Christianity became a world changing force even unto this day. He instructs his disciples not to beg for money when they were teaching the word and not to feast by staying in different houses . He then tells them that the cities who will not receive them will be destroyed and he named several important cities of the time as marked for judgement and named others who would fare better than the cursed cities. The cursed cities no longer exist and archeologists can't even agree where their ruins are, while the cities he named as having mercy alive and well today 2000 years later. Jesus asserts that no man knows God except through Jesus. This does away with the argument that Jesus was just a good spiritual leader, he unequivocally states that none know God except through him, He speaks the truth while the ones who claim otherwise do lie. We finish up with the parable of the Good Samaritan. Please grab you bibles and study along . [email protected]
