Lady Charmaine, are

0:00

you sure this Shadow Work is

0:03

light work? It looks

0:03

questionable to me.

0:06

It's fine Mx Zephy.

0:08

But what about toxic

0:08

light work?

0:11

Uggh, just grab a warm beverage

0:11

and settle in.

0:14

End scene! Just misfits.

0:17

Hello beautiful

0:28

you?

0:35

0:35

0:39

Misfit Mondays. All right, welcome everyone.

0:47

This is Lady Charmaine here

0:50

pronouns she | her. And with me

0:50

Of course we have Mx Zephy

0:55

pronouns xe | xem. We are here

0:55

tonight to tell you that Siri

0:59

can be a real pain in the ass

0:59

sometimes, correcting a

1:02

perfectly executed fuck. feeling

1:02

pretty confident that I didn't

1:06

just tell someone to go duck

1:06

themselves.

1:09

Womp womp.. Damn it, Siri! You know what I'm

1:10

talking about? I meant Fuck!

1:15

Today, we are giving ourselves

1:15

permission to fuck it up. Allow

1:20

ourselves to discover our own

1:20

spiritual path without worrying

1:23

about callout culture and the

1:23

perpetual struggle with

1:26

perfectionism. And the cherry on

1:26

top of that slice of pie is our

1:32

very special guest, Yogi Bryan.

1:36

Wooh, woo

1:38

thanks for joining us here.

1:40

I like that. I like the start of that. I was just thinking about how many times I

1:41

get fucking angry when duck

1:45

comes on my text and I want to

1:45

say fuck, it's like never in

1:50

history. I want to say fucking duck.

1:52

Or even ducking

1:54

Yeah. ducking? Yeah.

1:54

How is that ever? Like, just

1:58

take that out of my text

1:58

vocabulary ever? Like it's never

2:02

ducking?

2:03

Absolutely.

2:04

I feel that.

2:04

And so I found

2:04

you years ago, before I even

2:08

became a yoga instructor and was

2:08

completely drawn to your style

2:13

because you have a little bit of

2:13

a rebel heart and soul like I

2:16

do. And it came out that it's

2:16

just fucking yoga. So tell us a

2:22

little bit about that.

2:24

Just fucking yoga

2:24

had to I so I never really

2:29

intended on being a yoga teacher

2:29

being in the yoga, like, like

2:33

just practicing yoga at all. It

2:33

all happened as a joke. I

2:36

started an Instagram account

2:36

just to make fun of yoga because

2:39

I saw one of my friends doing

2:39

yoga poses on their kitchen

2:43

table on her bed for for one of

2:43

her studios. She was doing a

2:49

yoga challenge on Instagram. For

2:49

her studio. I thought this was

2:53

ridiculous. Like, I didn't

2:53

practice yoga at the time I

2:55

dabbled with Kundalini Yoga at

2:55

the time, but I never really was

2:59

like serious into yoga. And I

2:59

saw this, I'm like, I need to

3:04

start an Instagram account just

3:04

as a parody account to make fun

3:07

of yoga, start this account. And

3:07

then like it becomes popular, so

3:11

I start practicing yoga. I fall

3:11

in love with yoga, and I'm very

3:15

competitive. Like I used to play

3:15

competitive golf. So I'm just

3:19

like, really fucking like I want

3:19

to like destroy other people

3:22

like in terms of like

3:22

competition. And, again, yoga is

3:27

not that way. And like, I can't

3:27

be that way in yoga. So I had to

3:31

tell myself consistently like

3:31

Brian is just fucking yoga,

3:35

like, calm your ass down. Like

3:35

this is not a competition with

3:38

anybody else. Like this is just

3:38

you inside your mat. You know,

3:42

like, if class numbers are

3:42

small, or if like a post isn't

3:45

doing well on Instagram, like

3:45

it's just fucking yoga, Brian,

3:49

like, it's a practice. It's a

3:49

journey. Like I can't compare

3:52

myself with other people. I

3:52

can't compare myself with a 20

3:56

year veteran Yogi or 30 year

3:56

yoga teacher like I'm just not

4:00

there yet. Like I'm exactly

4:00

where I need to be in my

4:03

practice. So like, it's just

4:03

fucking Yoga is like a motto.

4:07

It's a it's a slogan that I say

4:07

daily for myself. And other

4:12

people like it as well. Like

4:12

it's it's awesome to see that.

4:16

Other people like are really

4:16

helped with that just fucking

4:20

yoga slogan because yeah, I just

4:20

see it out there comparison,

4:25

comparison to how my practice

4:25

looks compared to other people

4:29

or my body. And it's like, Dude,

4:29

it's just fucking yoga. Relax,

4:33

like, everything is good. So

4:33

yeah, that's just fucking yoga

4:37

in a nutshell,

4:38

Snaps and

4:38

praise. I am all here for it.

4:42

I'm all about body positive

4:42

everything and and it really is

4:47

just fucking yoga. I didn't

4:47

realize that. You know, when I

4:51

first started doing yoga many

4:51

many years ago, I walked into my

4:56

first hot yoga class and I of

4:56

course I have twice the body

5:00

size of most of the other people

5:00

in the class, and I'm like, Oh

5:05

my god, everyone's staring at

5:05

me. Nobody's staring at you.

5:07

They're all worried about their

5:07

own damn selves and their own

5:09

mats. Nobody's looking at you.

5:09

And I tell people that all the

5:13

time. And so now when I teach

5:13

yoga, I encourage people, I'm

5:16

like, Hey, you want to take your

5:16

shirt off? You want to do yoga

5:19

in a sports bra? You do you.

5:19

Like, no, you, you do what you

5:23

want to do with your body. Like,

5:23

let's just get over all these

5:26

hang ups here and leave them at

5:26

the door. And like, just enjoy

5:31

your body and your time on your mat.

5:33

100% 100% I really,

5:33

I when I took my first like,

5:39

yoga class in the studio, I was

5:39

heavier than I am now. I'm full

5:45

of tattoos. I had longer hair,

5:45

like I look greasy as fuck, like

5:48

at this time. And I was in like,

5:48

yeah, once a Bikram class. And

5:54

it was a packed class. And there

5:54

was a seven foot radius around

5:58

me, like no one wanted to be

5:58

around me at all. Like there's,

6:03

and I was the only I think it

6:03

was one or two dudes in the

6:06

class, like everyone else was

6:06

women in there. And yeah, all

6:10

the other students were like, so

6:10

close to each other, and I'm in

6:13

the seven foot radius. So I'm

6:13

like, ah, like, Do I smell like,

6:17

I'm not gonna bite you like, I'm

6:17

just tatted up long hair, dude.

6:21

So yeah, I just totally feel

6:21

that and that's another reason

6:24

why I'm just like, it's just

6:24

fucking yoga. Like, I can't

6:26

worry about this, like, I'm

6:26

here. Just practicing yoga. I

6:29

can't control what anybody else

6:29

is doing or thinking about me.

6:32

You know, and I was on

6:32

the opposite end of that shit.

6:34

So like that professional like

6:34

struggle for like perfectionism.

6:37

I was at first and in class, was

6:37

like, I have to get this

6:40

downward dog exactly right. 100%

6:40

of the time. Like, I would go

6:43

home after practice, just to

6:43

practice yoga poses because I

6:46

was like, if I don't show up in

6:46

this class looking like the best

6:48

fucking yogi because I'm already

6:48

thin and white and cute. I don't

6:51

I don't know if I'm gonna be

6:51

that person. Like people gonna

6:54

look at me weird because I don't

6:54

know what I'm what I'm doing. So

6:57

I spent Yeah, time off the mat.

6:57

Just trying to be perfect.

7:01

Yeah, I totally

7:01

relate to that. And I'm sure so

7:05

many other people will relate to

7:05

that as well. Just because you

7:07

see Instagram, Yogi's on there

7:07

looking perfect. And you know

7:11

that that picture probably took

7:11

20 shots, you know, and that's

7:16

the thing too, like, just

7:16

fucking yoga, like, even even my

7:19

pictures on there. And, like, it

7:19

takes time to curate a fucking

7:24

awesome picture for Instagram.

7:24

And that's what, and that's what

7:28

gets lost sometimes in social

7:28

media and just in the world,

7:31

it's like, no, like, these,

7:31

these influencers, like have a

7:34

fucking life. And they, it took

7:34

them a lot of attempts to get

7:39

that perfect picture, you know?

7:39

So

7:44

I think my

7:44

biggest issue right now with

7:47

yoga is how many damn female

7:47

crotch shots I see. I'm like,

7:52

Can we just not like, I'm all

7:52

for it. I am openly bi. I am all

7:58

for it. But can we just not for

7:58

a hot second? See cameltoe every

8:04

other time I am up looking at

8:04

yoga shots. I'm like, this is

8:07

not pretty ladies, get some

8:07

better pants. And I think

8:14

I think it's to the

8:14

point where, like, I have a love

8:17

hate relationship with social

8:17

media. And like, I do have a

8:20

love hate relationship with it.

8:20

I love it. Because there's

8:24

connection and like, I'm here on

8:24

your podcasts. And we're

8:28

connected through social media.

8:28

And there's like a big way to

8:31

help people on social media as

8:31

well. But then it's like a

8:34

fucking addiction, like constant

8:34

time suck in a constant, a

8:39

constant, like validation,

8:39

addiction almost. And I don't I

8:44

don't think like women that post

8:44

things like that. Really. I

8:50

wouldn't say like they want to,

8:50

or they do or they don't. I just

8:53

feel like they know it works.

8:53

Like they get the likes and the

8:57

validation. And I'm guilty of

8:57

that, too. Like, I do a

9:00

shirtless picture. Like I'm

9:00

gonna get a fucking more likes

9:03

and attention, then like wearing

9:03

my shirt on. So like,

9:07

Are you thinking that I liked it from every single one of my

9:12

Calm down, thirsty!

9:12

Drink some water!

9:17

Do we need to do calming meditation?

9:21

No and you know,

9:21

and I say that too, because of

9:23

course, social media also gives

9:23

us a place to be our own trolls

9:28

right? Now, not only trolls of

9:28

our own our own content, but

9:33

trolls of other people's

9:33

content. And what I said was

9:35

kind of troll-y, you know,

9:35

especially because I'm a

9:39

feminist and I'm more power to

9:39

women putting out whatever they

9:43

want to put out. You know, I

9:43

dance burlesque and my burlesque

9:47

account shows some stuff. Not

9:47

here. But you know, more power

9:53

to you ladies. It's just when

9:53

I'm out there looking. I'm like,

9:56

again. I'm sorry. No, it's and

9:56

I'm I'm gonna say it it goes

10:00

both ways. I can only see and

10:00

stand so many gray sweatpants on

10:05

the opposite gender so you know.

10:07

Don't you dare mock

10:07

gray sweatpants. I just found

10:09

out today that the airport is

10:09

the place for that lurking. Are

10:12

you kidding me? It's gray

10:12

sweatpants season. I'm all for

10:15

it.

10:16

That's all I wear.

10:16

I'm actually wearing like Grey

10:18

sweat shorts right now. Is it getting warm in my place.

10:22

I think so.

10:22

I'm out folks

10:32

You might just need a damn icebox.

10:36

I live in South Dakota, there's like three inches of snow outside. I'm just

10:37

going to have to go and make a

10:40

snowy Angel after all this.

10:40

Thank you, Bryan.

10:42

Good. Do it. Ill keep

10:42

my shirt on, how about that.

10:45

your raising my

10:45

vibration, we'll just say that.

10:47

You're raising my vibration. So

10:47

before yoga and before making

10:53

fun of you guys, what did you

10:53

do? And and how did you kind of

10:57

start into the more serious side

10:57

of yoga? Like what? What?

11:03

What was that moment where

11:03

you're like, Oh, yeah, I like

11:06

this. I'm gonna keep doing this.

11:07

Yeah, I Well, I

11:07

liked what I was doing for like

11:11

my mental state. And it was

11:11

really helping my body I like I

11:15

lost. He was like, around 30

11:15

pounds. Like as I was practicing

11:20

yoga. And at the time I was

11:20

going through my first divorce.

11:23

I just finished my second

11:23

divorce. So we're not going to

11:26

be talking about relationships

11:26

here. Like I'm a I'm a Yo, yogi

11:29

humor.

11:30

Iv'e had two. I've had two.

11:32

I haven't been on a

11:32

date in almost 10 years. I've

11:36

been on a date in almost 10 years.

11:37

Keep it that way,

11:37

man. That's why you got that

11:41

smile on you. Just kidding.

11:41

Yeah, but uh, but yoga actually

11:47

helped me just the mental aspect

11:47

so much. And I really didn't

11:51

And I really liked that

11:51

approach. Because I think

11:52

expect it. And I've always been

11:52

a, I've always studied like the

11:56

mind when I used to play. When I

11:56

used to play competitive golf. I

12:01

like read like self help books,

12:01

like performance mental game

12:05

books, like I would read like

12:05

three books a week, because when

12:07

because Charmaine and I come at

12:07

yoga from like a trauma informed

12:08

you get to a certain, a certain

12:08

like, swing, like everybody's

12:13

hitting the ball the same way.

12:13

And then it's like, are you

12:16

gonna have a better mental game

12:16

out there. So really, golf comes

12:19

down. It was like 99% mental in

12:19

golf. And that's the same, like,

12:24

that's what I really liked with

12:24

yoga. It's like yoga is like

12:26

99%, mental, like, spiritual

12:26

like going inside yourself.

12:32

That's what I really loved about

12:32

it. So as I was practicing more,

12:36

I was just getting deeper and

12:36

deeper into myself. And really,

12:40

since I started practicing

12:40

compared to now, the journey

12:43

just keeps going down a fucking

12:43

rabbit hole, like I can't even

12:47

really realize like the type of

12:47

person I was. When I first

12:51

started yoga, there's so many

12:51

doors unlocking to this yoga

12:55

practice. And I Brian test is

12:55

one of my favorite yoga

12:59

teachers. I've like watched all

12:59

the YouTubes. We had him on the

13:02

yogi show podcast where we were

13:02

doing that podcast. And in one

13:05

of his YouTube videos, when he

13:05

was interviewed, being

13:08

interviewed by someone else, he

13:08

said that, like his teacher told

13:12

them, just practice yoga, and

13:12

the universe will take care of

13:16

the rest. And that has been 100%

13:16

true in my yoga practice, and

13:22

just practice yoga. And the

13:22

universe really just falls into

13:25

place and takes care of the rest

13:25

as long as as long as long as I

13:29

don't get in the way of that,

13:29

which I definitely do. Right.

13:32

Yeah, that's that's kind of why

13:32

I started and what really

13:36

happened. approach. Because a lot of it is

13:42

like teaching people how to

13:44

reconnect with their bodies and

13:44

to reconnect with, you know, how

13:48

they feel in a certain space and

13:48

how they move in the world. And

13:50

I love this idea of like a golf

13:50

game, and everybody's hitting

13:53

the same damn, you know,

13:53

everybody's doing the same

13:55

drive. I think I have that

13:55

metaphor, right? I'm not a golf

13:57

person. So if I fucked this up,

13:57

like,

14:01

everybody's been.

14:01

I just know

14:01

balls are flying everywhere.

14:07

It gets rough.

14:08

Right? And like, you

14:08

see, you're doing this drive.

14:10

It's like everybody's hitting

14:10

the same drive. It's like, how

14:13

do you get to that drive? And I

14:13

love how your approach is like,

14:16

you know, just fuck all this.

14:16

I'm not going to worry about the

14:18

rules. I'm going to do it on my own way. And then like, Charmaine, and I come out of

14:20

from, how do you connect with

14:22

your body to figure out what

14:22

that works? So it's almost like

14:24

figuring out like, what's the

14:24

best angle? What's the best

14:27

swing? What's the best club that

14:27

you're going to use? You can use

14:29

a nine. Ooh, I actually know one

14:29

of them. It's a nine, nine.

14:33

That's it. I'm out.

14:36

In golf, golf is so

14:36

like golf really taught me.

14:40

Like, I didn't really realize

14:40

how much of a yogi I was, until

14:44

I started practicing yoga. But

14:44

then in golf, like I was using a

14:47

lot of the mindfulness

14:47

techniques before I have a new

14:50

meditation because one of the

14:50

things you have to do to like

14:54

play well, is you have to stay

14:54

in the present moment. You have

14:57

to stay in the fucking present

14:57

moment. One of my mantras then,

15:01

which I learned from this book

15:01

called Golf is Not a Game of

15:04

Perfect was a mantra that said,

15:04

stay in the present and commit

15:08

to the process to stay in the

15:08

present of what I'm doing right

15:11

here right now. So I'm walking

15:11

into my next golf shot or

15:14

something, stay in the present

15:14

and commit to the process, like,

15:17

what shot do I need to do right

15:17

then? I can't worry about my

15:21

previous shot. I can't worry

15:21

about the future. But that's

15:23

really like how life and yoga is

15:23

like, no matter what book you

15:27

read, it's going to say stay in

15:27

the fucking present moment. And

15:30

how hard is that to do? like

15:30

staying inside your mat staying

15:33

in the present moment, like

15:33

being alert being focused? So

15:37

yeah, that's um, that's, it's a

15:37

journey.

15:40

It really is. And that's where the practice comes in. And it's so much

15:42

practice to stay in now. I'm I

15:46

do meditation, and I, I have

15:46

clients that I work with

15:50

mindfulness on. I am a mom of 3.

15:50

I have two teenage teenage sons,

15:59

and a daughter who's nine and a

15:59

half going on 16.

16:06

More like, 60

16:07

Yeah, I mean, there is days when where your

16:09

being in the present moment, is

16:14

so far removed from where my

16:14

mind is. And so I know, the

16:22

minute that my body starts to

16:22

feel unwell, then I am not

16:27

putting in the time for myself.

16:27

And the number one self care is

16:33

meditation and being in the

16:33

moment, yes, if there's nothing

16:37

else that you can do, like give

16:37

yourself five minutes to stand

16:42

in a corner, give yourself mommy

16:42

timeout, or parent timeout, and

16:46

go sit for five minutes and just

16:46

breathe.

16:49

Just breathe. I agree. Come back to your breath.

16:53

And that it that

16:53

will make a world of difference.

16:56

And I know the minute my body

16:56

starts getting tense, it's like

17:00

mama needs a timeout.

17:03

That's great to have

17:03

awareness about that, you know,

17:06

just being aware that you need

17:06

that timeout. Because sometimes,

17:11

like we're not aware that, hey,

17:11

we need to timeout we just like

17:14

reactive and we need to just go

17:14

go go. So that's amazing. And

17:17

that. That's a practice, sure to

17:17

practice to get there.

17:21

Awareness, like it's creeping

17:21

up, I better chill, I better

17:24

breathe.

17:25

It's funny how

17:25

that works. As you're young, you

17:27

get timeouts as punishment, and

17:27

naps feel like punishment. And

17:31

now at 40 Plus, I love naps. And

17:31

I'm willing to take my own

17:36

timeout.

17:38

Amazing how it comes

17:38

all back around.

17:41

I still want to clean

17:41

my room, though. So that has not

17:45

changed.

17:47

Right?

17:50

To each their

17:50

own, each their own. But it's so

17:56

now I'm going to go on to some

17:56

other things. And I did notice

17:59

that there's one very particular

17:59

merchandise item of yours that

18:03

is no longer available. But you

18:03

have quite an array of fun

18:10

sayings that you throw out into

18:10

the world. And of course, right

18:15

now go sage yourself is one of

18:15

my favorites and is probably on

18:18

my Christmas list. But there's a

18:18

couple others that you have out

18:22

there it is this making fun of

18:22

yoga still a huge part of

18:29

everything that you do. And it

18:29

brings me great joy. So I just

18:33

want to know more about it and

18:33

kind of where some of that comes

18:38

from.

18:39

Yeah, it comes from

18:39

I just love to make people

18:42

laugh. Like I really do. I used

18:42

to be the class clown like in

18:45

school, got in trouble all the

18:45

time. Like I just brings me joy.

18:49

Like I just make people laugh

18:49

and not even charge for it

18:51

really. And these sayings just

18:51

come to me I'm in my meditation

18:55

practice is really just fucking

18:55

ideas coming up standing the

18:59

present moment, but then I just

18:59

have like, Oh, that's a meme. Or

19:03

that's, that's a tick tock I'm

19:03

going to do or like I need to do

19:06

this type of meditation. Or like

19:06

these sayings. And like, I used

19:11

to be a poet. Well, I still am

19:11

like a poet. And I started like

19:15

writing and doing things back in

19:15

like the AOL chat room days

19:20

where you can like go on and

19:20

just like chat and all that

19:22

shit. And I used to go on the

19:22

forums, and I used to, like,

19:25

write like, funny shit under

19:25

different characters. And I had

19:29

like, in one forum, I had like

19:29

four different characters and

19:32

like, people didn't know that

19:32

all these characters were me.

19:36

And like, people would like talk

19:36

shit and be like, Oh, I don't

19:39

like this guy. But I like this

19:39

other guy. And I'm like, Oh,

19:42

interesting. Like, I'm fucking

19:42

all of them. You know? Like, so

19:45

I'm like, writing is just

19:45

something that I love to do. And

19:48

then with with yoga, I just see

19:48

like, it's so serious and, and I

19:56

I feel like it just shouldn't be

19:56

so serious. You know, it's

19:59

everybody. His journey like

19:59

we're all on a journey. And when

20:03

I say it's just fucking yoga

20:03

like, I don't mean any

20:06

disrespect to the yoga community

20:06

or yoga, yoga culture. But when

20:11

I see people like that come

20:11

after me, it's like, it's all

20:14

fucking egos. Like they are

20:14

almost that holier than thou

20:18

shit. Like they know all the

20:18

sutras like they fuckin can

20:21

recite every single Yama,

20:21

niyama, and they want to break

20:25

down every single thing. It's

20:25

like, once you focus on your

20:28

fucking mat, and I'll focus on

20:28

what's in my fucking mat. And

20:31

then, like, that's all that

20:31

needs to matter, you know. So

20:35

that's why I like, I like to

20:35

make fun. I like to make fun and

20:40

just test the boundaries there.

20:40

But yeah, no way I like my

20:44

intention is never to be

20:44

disrespectful in any culture or

20:47

community. But yeah, go sage

20:47

yourself. If you if you're

20:52

disrespected if

20:53

Go sage

20:53

yourself. I freaking love it.

20:57

Don't follow me.

20:57

Like that's what I tell people.

20:59

I'm like, follow me. There's

20:59

like a million other Yogi's

21:02

that, like, are textbook, yoga

21:02

sutras and all that, like, go

21:07

follow them. Like,

21:09

I agree, I

21:09

didn't think I would ever be a

21:11

yoga teacher. And and that's

21:11

just because of everyone who

21:15

ever taught me was so serious.

21:15

And I am a I rarely wear pants

21:22

like I'm all about skirts. I

21:22

tell people all the time that it

21:25

messes with your chi and your

21:25

chakras because you've got your

21:28

crotch blocked all the time. And

21:28

like, this has been years since

21:33

my early 20s. I am kind of a big

21:33

tree hugging hippie and where I

21:39

live. There's nobody like that,

21:39

that teaches yoga. Everyone is

21:44

very status quo yoga. And so I

21:44

was like, I can't do that.

21:49

That's, that's nowhere near my

21:49

wheelhouse. And then I don't

21:54

know what happened. Well, I

21:54

mean, other than following you,

21:57

and then finding other really

21:57

great humans that were that

22:01

looked different had different

22:01

body types of different styles.

22:04

I was like, Yeah, I can fucking

22:04

do this. And I'm gonna fucking

22:08

do this. And I love it. I love

22:08

doing yoga. I love being on my

22:15

mat. I love helping other

22:15

people. And I had a gentleman in

22:19

one of my classes who was young,

22:19

I'm talking like, 20s really

22:24

fit? I was like, What is this

22:24

dude doing in my yoga class? I

22:28

teach like, slow flow be in your

22:28

body? You know, like, love on

22:33

yourself? What is this? What is

22:33

this jock doing in my yoga

22:37

class? I can. I was so scared to

22:37

teach that day because I thought

22:41

that this guy was going to judge

22:41

me based on the fact that I'm a

22:45

fluffy white woman, you know,

22:45

saying Ooh, love yourself yoga.

22:50

And after class, he told me he's

22:50

like, I have never thought about

22:54

yoga in that way of being so in

22:54

touch with my body. This is

22:57

exactly what I needed.

22:58

I love that.

23:00

There is a

23:00

reason that we are put in the

23:03

places that we find ourselves.

23:05

Yes.

23:06

And we block

23:06

ourselves that we just need to

23:08

say more fuck it.

23:10

Do it. That's Yeah,

23:10

and those situations, like when

23:13

you're feeling that way, when

23:13

you're feeling like, you know,

23:17

like, oh, like, he's gonna judge

23:17

me or whatnot. Like, that's the

23:21

fucking it's just fucking yoga

23:21

moments, like, from me, were

23:25

like, I come back to that, like,

23:25

come on. Brian's just fucking

23:28

yoga. Like, just do you. Just

23:28

teach this class. You know, I've

23:32

had like, classes where, like, I

23:32

made a joke, like the first down

23:36

dog and how to do just, like

23:36

roll up his mat and fucking

23:39

leave. Like, you're just not

23:39

handling any of the humor or my

23:43

style, you know? And I was, I

23:43

was kind of sad about that for a

23:46

little bit. You know, I asked

23:46

the front desk, the front desk

23:50

person, like what happened and

23:50

he just, he wasn't feeling it.

23:53

You know? And then I just, I

23:53

just had to tell myself like,

23:55

it's just fucking yoga. Like,

23:55

I'm not for everyone. You know,

23:58

and anybody out there listening?

23:58

That, you know, you're not gonna

24:02

you're not gonna please every

24:02

single person, like, just do

24:05

you, like, people are gonna find

24:05

you. People are gonna find you

24:09

that like, love your vibe. So

24:09

yeah, I love that story.

24:13

And I love this too,

24:13

because I feel like this is

24:16

like, saying there's different

24:16

spiritual paths, there's

24:18

different ways for people to do

24:18

things because I mean, it's very

24:20

evident that both y'all are

24:20

doing it in a whole different

24:22

way. I'm doing in a whole

24:22

different way. And it's just

24:25

saying, you know, fuck the

24:25

status quo. Because I think I

24:28

think the way that Yoga has been

24:28

modern, more, quote, unquote,

24:31

modernized, they even don't even

24:31

like westernized. Yeah. Western.

24:35

Yeah, colonized. That's a better

24:35

word. So the way that you know

24:37

Yoga has been colonized. We get

24:37

so afraid of trying to step

24:40

outside those bounds because

24:40

it's quote unquote, time tested

24:43

it's tradition out and I'm like,

24:43

Well, fuck tradition. Like I

24:46

barely even identify, identify

24:46

with it, you know, a traditional

24:48

gender. So like, like my

24:48

spiritual practice, is sure as

24:52

fuck not gonna look like the

24:52

traditional one. And I think

24:56

this is the thing where it's

24:56

like that ego piece or it's like

24:59

we have to get out of our own

24:59

way we have to get out of our

25:01

heads would be like, you know

25:01

what, what's gonna work for me?

25:03

Fuck what everybody else says

25:03

it's gonna work for me. What do

25:06

I feel comfortable with? How do

25:06

I want to do this?

25:09

Exactly, exactly my,

25:09

my mission is to share the share

25:13

my practice of yoga and

25:13

meditation so people can develop

25:17

a healthy body and peaceful

25:17

mind. So my sharing my practice,

25:21

like I'm not, not a 20 year

25:21

veteran yoga teacher, like, I'll

25:25

share that type of practice,

25:25

then, like, I'm just sharing my

25:29

practice and, and I got to

25:29

constantly remind myself, like,

25:32

just Just do me like, I can't be

25:32

anybody else.

25:36

So and, you

25:36

know, going back to making fun

25:40

of yoga, in a way that the highest

25:43

frequency for manifestation is

25:50

excited bliss, and joy. So when

25:50

we are brought to this state, we

25:58

are able to manifest at a much

25:58

higher volume and capacity. And

26:03

so you're taking this fun of

26:03

yoga and making fun of yoga, but

26:07

you're bringing it to a point

26:07

where people are finding more

26:10

joy in bliss, I found way more

26:10

joy and bliss in yoga after

26:14

that, because I looked at yoga

26:14

differently. And I looked at the

26:17

way I was doing yoga differently

26:17

and not comparing myself to

26:21

anyone. And so when you rip all

26:21

of those layers away, and you're

26:26

just left with, like, the pure

26:26

joy and bliss of being in your

26:29

body on your mat, and doing

26:29

something you love, like, Is

26:34

this all around? circle of

26:34

beautiful manifestation that

26:37

you're placing yourself in?

26:40

Yes, so thank you.

26:40

Yes, hundred percent, hundred

26:43

percent. And you always hear

26:43

like, laughter is the highest

26:46

form of yoga. So you gotta

26:46

laugh. Like, you gotta have fun.

26:50

Gotta laugh. You gotta have fun.

26:50

Life's too fucking short,

26:53

and not just when people fart in class, you gotta, you know, you're gonna

26:55

actually laugh at other times,

26:57

too.

26:58

Exactly. Exactly. As

26:58

long as the teachers not

27:01

farting. Even

27:06

can they? Can they do with a little bit of like that ommm? Like that ommm resonance,

27:08

so that way, there's,

27:11

like, 528 hertz.

27:11

It's the love frequency. Fart at

27:15

the love frequency. Looking. Good.

27:17

Yeah. I have to

27:17

start trying that now.

27:22

If you can fart 528

27:22

hertz, like, you're gonna make a

27:25

million dollars. Like, you're

27:25

just yeah, that's gonna be a

27:27

talent.

27:28

I wonder if there's a Spotify playlist already with that. Like, I'm gonna check that

27:30

now.

27:36

We just started a new niche right here. Like, watch. It's coming up. It's

27:38

coming out soon. It'll be an

27:40

Instagram account after this

27:40

goes out.

27:43

I feel like you could you know, you can make a shirt. Dads. Here you go. I show

27:45

with my

27:50

heads up! fart memes

27:50

tank though. Just Just a heads

27:54

up to anybody out there. If you

27:54

if you make a fart meme, like it

27:57

just doesn't do well. In at

27:57

least the yoga community.

28:02

Yeah, people get scared about it.

28:04

It's okay. Yeah.

28:04

Like maybe I shouldn't like

28:06

that.

28:07

But it's called

28:07

breaking wind pose for a reason.

28:14

Oh, all right. Well, I know that

29:16

29:20

29:23

clothes. My my ex wife used to

29:23

make all the clothes so now I

29:28

have like a different

29:28

distributor so I just I'll just

29:31

send them a message and I happen to

29:33

listen,

29:33

relationships.

29:37

much love to her if she's listening. No hard feelings. But

29:40

Oh, absolutely.

29:40

I'm glad that things are working

29:43

out and that's great. But new

29:43

vendors are always it's hard to

29:47

work with new vendors. So yeah,

29:49

Takes time. journey.

29:49

It's a journey. It's always

29:52

practice. Everything's practice

29:52

everyday life making, making

29:57

some offensive shirts out there.

29:57

It's all All practice.

30:01

Well as we close

30:01

fuck down. Don't overthink it.

30:29

And bring your attention to your

30:29

fucking breath.

30:34

In and out. You've been breathing all your

30:39

fucking life. So you know how to

30:44

breathe. That's a find your

30:44

breath that's right here. This

30:51

30:51

There you fucking go. Just

31:02

exhales. Take a scan of your

31:13

body all the way from the crown

31:13

of your head to the tips of your

31:18

toes. If you notice any tension, just

31:25

release that tension and give it

31:29

the fuck up. Relax your resting

31:29

bitchface is here. RBF still

31:37

allow that RBF to dissolve and

31:37

fade away

31:47

and relax your shoulder. You

31:47

feel like you're holding the

31:52

weight of the world on your

31:52

shoulders? Why the fuck would

31:56

you want to do that? Hold the

31:56

entire world on your shoulders.

32:00

Just relax your shoulder and

32:00

release the world. There you go

32:07

whole body starts to relax. And

32:07

each and every breath you take

32:15

relaxes you even more and more.

32:21

There you go. Each and every breath you take

32:23

floods the body with relaxation.

32:33

Every cell in your body relaxes

32:33

all the muscle fibers in your

32:37

body relax. And all you have to

32:37

do is breathe.

32:45

There you go. Let's say a mantra. So you'll

32:53

say this silently to yourself.

32:59

On the inhale you'll say I am

32:59

and on the exhale a fucking

33:06

Thunderbolt of good vibes.

33:06

Inhale I am exhale a fucking

33:18

Thunderbolt of Good vibes. Say

33:18

that mantra over and over. Give

33:23

you some time. Inhale am. Exhale a fucking

33:50

Thunderbolt of good vibes.

33:58

Allowing that mantra to sink

33:58

deep into your heart space like

34:02

you're planting a seed. And all

34:02

throughout your day and night.

34:09

You'll feel these fucking good

34:09

vibes, this thunderbolts of good

34:13

vibes throughout your day. Bring the hands to heart center

34:19

when you're ready. Take a nice

34:25

deep inhale through the nose.

34:25

And exhale sigh it the fuck out.

34:33

There you go. Thank you so much

34:33

for meditating with me.

34:37

Namastay. There you go.

34:39

34:39

34:43

34:45
