Welcome to Rent Control Radio - a new show that will be airing on the Money Power Land Solidarity feed. On Rent Control Radio we will be covering the City of Minneapolis' "Rent Stablization Working Group", a group appointed by the mayor and city council to shape a potential Rent Control policy for the city. The Rent Stabilization Working Group has their first meeting today 9/13/22 and are scheduled to meet through the rest of the year. 

On today's premier episode we sit down with Sean Lim from Minneapolis United for Rent Control & the Minnesota Youth Collective and B Rosas who was an organizer in the Housing Equity Now St. Paul (HENS) coaltion that led the successful referendum for Rent Control in St. Paul in 2021. We open today with some context on the stuggles for Rent Control in the Twin Cities and then we go through the appointees to the Minneapolis Rent Stablization Working Group to get a sense of who is on the group and what politics they bring to the table.
