1:55

Good evening and welcome to monsters among us.

1:57

I'm your guide, Derek A's Gradients earth lanes.

2:03

Welcome back to the program.

2:05

I trust you've all been well since we've last spoke well, as well as anyone can be these days.

2:13

I suppose we'd love to tell you, I have an excellent show lined up for you the same night, but frankly, I'm not yet privy to that Intel because tonight's episode is another in the grab bag series.

2:29

No,

2:29

I

2:29

overworked

2:29

myself

2:29

over

2:29

the

2:29

holidays

2:29

and

2:29

David

2:29

flora

2:29

and

2:29

I

2:29

have

2:29

been

2:29

really

2:29

busy

2:29

this

2:38

week. Putting time into our soon to be released at documentary shadows in the desert.

2:42

So

2:42

long

2:42

story

2:42

short,

2:42

I

2:42

just

2:42

fell

2:46

behind. But as I've said, numerous times in past episodes, and I mean, with every fiber of my being, I do not want to leave you guys hanging.

2:56

So tonight we've injured forward script, less unprepared and unresearched, just like you.

3:06

I do not know the contents of the following costs.

3:09

What we, the name and location of their submission.

3:12

So without further delay, I bring to you today, tonight, whatever Matt from the state of Indiana, Hey

3:33

Derek, this is Matt from Indiana.

3:35

I was wanting to call him about a story that happened.

3:38

I'd say about seven years ago, I was about 15, 16 years old back then, me and my friend, I'm not going to say his name.

3:48

We were really in the ghost adventures and stuff like that.

3:53

And we started to dabble in ghost hunting.

3:55

And the thing about my buddy is he's always said, he's had a gift.

4:01

I say, I don't know what you want to call it, where basically he could see things.

4:06

And I don't know if that made it more of a hotbed for him, if he was just a magnet, but weird stuff would happen at his house all the time.

4:17

Once we started dabbling and that kind of thing, we got a few EVP stuff like that.

4:24

Nothing big saw a few shadow people, but then he started texting me in the mornings.

4:31

Pictures of him getting scratched, he'd wake up.

4:38

And this happened for about a week. He gets scratched.

4:40

It's like he was getting attacked.

4:43

I don't know. Then one day he told me how he was going upstairs to live in ground.

4:50

His house had a basement.

4:53

That's where he slept downstairs and he was going upstairs to go get something to drink.

4:59

And when he was heading up there, he said a large black shadow kind of formed in front of him and pushed him back down the stairs.

5:11

Well, spring forward, I'd say a few weeks and his parents were throwing a super bowl party.

5:21

And I went over and we were having a good time.

5:24

And I went down to the basement at one point to grab my phone.

5:31

I had it charging and you know, I was young.

5:36

And like I said, we watched ghost adventures and I always thought it was a good idea to antagonize whatever we were trying to make contact with.

5:45

And so I stood there and, you know, I remembered that story.

5:50

How, about how he was getting attacked.

5:52

And before I went back upstairs, I just kind of turned around and you know, pretty much said whatever is down there.

6:00

I bet you quit being a coward.

6:03

I didn't use that word. I used something else and you know, mess with me, leave him alone.

6:10

He didn't do nothing wrong.

6:11

And as soon as I turned back around, start heading upstairs because nothing happened.

6:20

It was like a force stopped me in the moment.

6:26

It stopped me over my shoulder.

6:28

It wasn't a noise being made upstairs.

6:31

You could hear everything happening upstairs.

6:33

It was like right by my ear was Jewish, like a mixture of a growl and scream, I guess.

6:44

I

6:44

don't

6:46

know. It was deep. It was foul.

6:47

It was just not happy.

6:49

And as soon as that ended pressure lifted me, I was able to kind of move forward again.

6:56

And I, I tell my half's back upstairs and I was like, okay, noted.

7:03

And just continued from there.

7:07

You know, just went through the rest of the night.

7:09

I think I finally told my buddy a few days later, but yeah, that's my story.

7:14

It's kind of quick, I guess one of the many, so I'm sure I'll call back with more.

7:20

Hopefully this makes it on the 11th season.

7:22

I'm going to have a hometown legend story, but it's a little late for that.

7:28

I guess I'll save that on huge fan of the podcast, man.

7:32

And I'm a huge fan of paranormal caught on camera.

7:36

Me and my uncle who sadly passed away last year, watched it pretty much every time there was a marathon on.

7:44

So thanks to that show.

7:47

I'll always have a fond memory of that, but thanks for what you're doing, dude.

7:51

It's a great, I love it.

7:53

Keeps me awake on the long drives on the trucker.

7:56

Haven't seen anything yet though.

7:58

Thanks. Bye.

8:02

Thanks Matt, for calling in and sorry to hear about your uncle.

8:05

Sounds like he had pretty good taste in television though.

8:09

And

8:09

let's

8:09

certainly

8:09

a

8:09

wild

8:09

series

8:09

of

8:09

events

8:09

that

8:09

took

8:09

place

8:09

there

8:09

and

8:09

your

8:09

friends,

8:09

certainly

8:09

isn't

8:09

the

8:09

first

8:09

or

8:09

only

8:09

to

8:09

claim

8:09

to

8:09

have

8:09

some

8:09

sort

8:09

of

8:09

strange

8:09

gift

8:09

or

8:21

ability. And quite frankly, I think that near everybody has that ability to some extent, a hidden talent that only some have managed to tap into.

8:31

Of

8:31

course

8:31

we

8:31

don't

8:31

know

8:31

for

8:31

certain,

8:31

but

8:31

with

8:31

stories

8:31

like

8:31

mats,

8:31

we

8:31

find

8:31

ourselves

8:31

just

8:31

a

8:31

little

8:31

closer

8:31

to

8:31

the

8:41

truth. So thanks again, Matt, for sharing the entry.

8:44

Now,

8:44

folks,

8:44

if

8:44

you

8:44

have

8:44

a

8:44

call

8:44

you

8:44

would

8:44

like

8:44

to

8:44

share

8:44

maybe

8:44

a

8:44

hometown

8:44

legend

8:44

as

8:44

Matt

8:44

suggested,

8:44

which

8:44

by

8:44

the

8:44

way,

8:44

the

8:44

latest

8:44

hometown

8:44

legends

8:44

installment

8:44

is

8:44

coming

8:59

up. When I premiere season 13, I believe that's in March.

9:04

I need to check our calendars on that either way.

9:09

If you have a call, you'd like to submit a true paranormal story.

9:13

Call the hotline at one eight, eight, eight, six oh eight night.

9:18

That's 1 8 8 8 6 0 8 6 4 4 4.

9:23

And you still have a few weeks to get those clergy calls.

9:25

And if that happens to be, you will, this next one takes us to the state of Michigan where Dana has a story waiting for us.

9:37

Hi Derek. This is Dana from Michigan, and I've been listening for about five months.

9:42

Now. I've been listening to all your episodes and I joined Patrion to keep the stories going.

9:49

And I finally had the courage to call and share something that happened to me many years ago.

9:55

This was outside of a small town in Michigan called Bellville around the year of 19 84, 19 85.

10:02

I was 11 or 12 years old.

10:04

I have a little brother who was about seven or eight.

10:06

We weren't quite old enough to be left alone all day while our mom was at work.

10:11

So we still had a babysitter.

10:14

My mom worked at a large Detroit automaker.

10:17

They start very early in the morning around 6:00 AM.

10:21

So I'm assuming my mom dropped us off around 5:00 AM.

10:25

Woman who was watching us at the time was an older woman.

10:28

She had a small home in the back of, I believe it was her son's property.

10:33

They built her a small home to keep her safe.

10:36

And somehow she met my mom and my mom needed childcare.

10:39

So we were dropped off every morning in the summer about 5:00 AM.

10:45

It was still dark out. The lady would let us go lay in her bed.

10:49

Me and my brother, when we got there, we didn't have to sleep on a couch or anything.

10:55

She would go sleep on the couch and my brother and I would crawl into her bed and fall asleep until we got up, you know, 7, 8, 9, 8:00 AM in the morning.

11:02

So this particular morning we crawled into her bed.

11:06

I think my brother was asleep.

11:07

I was laying on my left hand side and I opened my eyes real quick.

11:12

And she had a dresser, a large stressor with a mirror attached.

11:16

And as I looked into the mirror, I saw something smiling at me and I was instantly scared, instantly close my eyes real tight.

11:27

And for a second, I don't know why I thought this.

11:30

Maybe because it was smiling.

11:32

I thought it was God smiling at me.

11:35

And then I thought for a minute, wait a minute.

11:37

I think if we, if I saw God, I don't think I'd be afraid.

11:41

I was terrified of the space that I saw in the mirror.

11:44

It was dark.

11:46

You could just tell there was a darkness about it, maybe a redness kind of glowing.

11:51

It was smiling.

11:53

I realized the best word to describe the smile is sinister.

11:57

It was staring and smiling.

12:00

Sinisterly at me.

12:02

And I was terrified.

12:04

And to this day I still don't look at mirrors at night and we have a, a dresser with an attached mirror.

12:13

And I never look in that mirror at night.

12:15

And I swear if I had to take a guess.

12:19

I, I saw Satan that day and I don't know why he appeared to me, but he was smiling and it was terrifying.

12:26

So I just want to take a moment and thank you Derek for creating this platform for us to share our stories.

12:32

I love the podcast.

12:34

It really helps me through my day at work.

12:36

And thank you very much for letting me share my story.

12:39

Take care. Bye-bye Thank

12:42

you, Dana. And especially thank you for signing up for Patriot.

12:46

As Stena mentioned, that does keep the stories coming, putting on the show is a full-time job for not only myself, but my wife as well.

12:55

So that's where our majority of our income comes from.

12:59

So we certainly appreciate any support we can get there for those that are curious, it's patrion.com forward slash monsters among us podcast and there's levels starting at $1.

13:10

Now, as far as Dana's story is concerned, I'm right there with her.

13:16

I don't like mirrors at night either.

13:18

You know, after six years of doing this show, there's not a lot out there that faces me anymore.

13:24

That said, when I go to the bathroom at night, I don't turn on the lights if nightlights for that kind of thing, but I never look at myself in the eye or look at my face in the mirror while I'm washing my hands.

13:37

Something about it just creeps me out.

13:40

I don't look right and look normal.

13:42

Looks spooky, weird stuff.

13:46

So either way, Dana, I certainly get it.

13:50

And we appreciate you taking the time to share.

13:52

Now,

13:52

according

13:52

to

13:52

my

13:52

notes,

13:52

this

13:52

next

13:52

story

13:52

takes

13:52

us

13:52

north

13:52

to

13:52

Minnesota,

13:52

where

13:52

Abby

13:52

is

13:52

waiting

13:52

with

13:52

a

14:02

tail.

14:04

Hey there, my name is Abby.

14:06

I am in Duluth, Minnesota.

14:08

And I think I have possibly witnessed a tie clip or a glitch in the matrix.

14:14

Not really sure what to call it.

14:17

I haven't heard much of these stories.

14:19

So I thought I might as well share my experience and see if anybody else has experienced something like this.

14:26

I am a new listener.

14:27

I came from the less good haunted podcast and I was listening to the water episode on my way home from work.

14:35

And I decided to call it and tell my story.

14:37

So I think it was around September, August of 2019 and my best friend and I were hiking at Jacobs state park.

14:46

And we were on our way back and I was driving through this intersection.

14:50

I've driven through many times.

14:52

It was on my way to work in school. So I was very, very familiar with this way.

14:55

So we were driving through some stoplights and we were approaching, or we've just got past the stoplights.

15:02

And we were approaching a construction site, which is a little weird because the day before there wasn't any construction and now the road was tore up and there was cars everywhere.

15:10

There was trucks and construction men and like orange vests and stuff.

15:14

And there was COVID on the road.

15:15

And so I was going straight and following the koans and all of a sudden the cone led off the road and all of a sudden I was going into oncoming traffic.

15:22

So I just assumed possibly that I took a wrong turn or something.

15:27

And I wasn't trying to get my best friend and I didn't crash.

15:30

So I quickly swerved to the left, avoided the oncoming traffic and kind of just got up.

15:35

I had to gather my surroundings for a second and realize what just happened.

15:38

So I take the left turn.

15:41

I go to the end of the road, there's a callback.

15:43

I do a U-turn maybe a minute as past 30 seconds to amend this task.

15:48

And so I go back approaching the road that I was just on to take another left, to get on the road that I was on to see maybe if I took the wrong way.

15:56

And as we approached the stop sign, there is no oncoming traffic, no cones, no construction workers, no trucks, nothing.

16:05

Everything is back to normal.

16:07

And I'm so grateful.

16:09

I, my best friend was there to witness this with me because in 30 seconds to a minute, there is no way that all of that could get cleaned up, including the road that was torn up.

16:20

It was back to normal.

16:22

There was no way that that could have happened.

16:26

Yeah. I dunno. Very weird. Ever since then, weird things have been happening to me.

16:32

Just weird circumstances and a weird thing, but yeah, possibly a time-slot possibly a glitch in the matrix.

16:39

Yeah. I don't know. Hopefully other people have similar experiences to mine, but all right.

16:44

I love the show and hopefully you get some use out of this.

16:48

All right, bye.

16:51

Thank you, Abby.

16:52

You know, as Matt mentioned earlier, paranormal caught on camera is actually a decent source for these a glitch in the matrix time slip sort of videos.

17:03

I remember covering probably at least a half a dozen, probably more in my four seasons with the show.

17:10

Now,

17:10

like

17:10

a

17:10

lot

17:10

of

17:10

the

17:10

other

17:10

clips

17:10

on

17:10

that

17:10

program,

17:10

I'm

17:10

sure

17:10

there's

17:10

a

17:10

logical

17:10

explanation

17:10

to

17:10

it,

17:10

but

17:10

there

17:10

certainly

17:10

were

17:10

some

17:10

freaky

17:21

ones. The one that really seems to stick with me was the bird that seemed to be floating above the freeway.

17:27

That's probably some sort of art installation or something, but it was weird to see if I can find the clip to it posted in the show notes.

17:38

Otherwise, thank you.

17:42

Happy. And thank you to the girls that let's get haunted.

17:45

We're spreading the word.

17:46

19:25

So thanks for listening and back to this bookie stuff, Melvin,

19:30

this next one comes to us from, I think a repeat offender looks familiar, Frank from New York, welcome to the program.

19:44

Hey Derek, this is Frank from long island, New York.

19:46

I'm calling about a haunted road.

19:47

That's how to here in Suffolk county.

19:50

So about maybe early to mid two thousands.

19:53

I bought this book old, weird New York, and I'm pretty sure you're familiar with it from the guys.

20:02

When they have the, a weird New Jersey, a website, they made a whole bunch of books, you know, weird New York and bunch of other states.

20:09

This is the panel activities and all the like weird towards the tractors that are in debt in the, in that state.

20:16

But it was one thing that caught my attention in this book.

20:19

It was this road out in Huntington.

20:22

Well, sweet hollow road.

20:24

I'm not from long island.

20:26

I'm from the city. So I'm not familiar much with, oh, I know long island, no, for a fair share with stuff like Mary's grave and a bunch of other stuff like it, everybody pulling out and they know about all this stuff.

20:39

And I have cousins and family out there humping.

20:42

So I was talking to my cousin, lived out there and she was like, yeah, everybody has a little sweet hollow road.

20:49

It's it's known for being halted.

20:51

Now in the book, it talks about like being like go onto the sidewalk.

20:58

And it was one story about a woman getting pulled over by a cop.

21:02

And then when he asked her license registration, he turned around and it was nothing in the back of his head.

21:10

His back back to the head was missing.

21:11

But there was one story that she told me, I believe she said it happened to a friend.

21:17

I don't know. Maybe she could be lying, playing joking around, but it was pretty freaky up.

21:22

She says that a friend with driving down that road and I guess they wanted to test out one of those boys.

21:28

So they put baby powder, like all over their car and they put, I don't know if they put the car in neutral, they just let it like, right.

21:36

But when they got out, there was like little hand prints all over that car.

21:40

And I'm like, you gotta be kidding me.

21:43

And she's like, no, it's supposedly that was school bus accident long time ago over that.

21:48

I hope not it's messed up.

21:52

But yeah, she told me that I'm like messing with me right now.

21:56

She's like, no, this is what my friend told me many years later, maybe two years ago, I told my friends, let's check this road out.

22:05

And we were driving down it.

22:09

Now a lot of long island is like, if you go to the north shore, it's a lot, a lot of the rich areas are like that.

22:16

It's dark Woody.

22:17

It's pretty creepy. And I actually drive through that when I'm listening to the podcast, you know, just to set, set the mood.

22:25

But I there's something about that road.

22:28

Every time I've driven down it, it's a real uneasy feeling.

22:33

Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me because of, you know, I know about the whole history behind it, but I've driven down in a few times and it's just, I don't know.

22:42

I just get this really odd feeling, driving down there just a few hours ago before I made this call, me and my fiance was driving around the area and I sold the road.

22:50

I'm like, should I turn down it?

22:53

You know, I'm not in the mood today.

22:55

I don't need that type of stress. It's, it's the roads very tight.

22:59

You know, I can see a lot of accidents happening there.

23:02

It's an upper class, upper class neighborhood.

23:05

So you do go check it out and be mindful about what you're going to stop yourself.

23:10

You know, people respect the privacy over there, but yeah, that's it.

23:14

I hope you can use the story. Love the show.

23:16

And I'll try to call back with some more.

23:19

Thanks. I'll go on there.

23:22

Thanks as always Frank, we appreciate the entry.

23:24

Now, coincidentally enough, the authors Frank was talking about also happened to be co presenters on that same program.

23:32

Paranormal Connor camera, Mark Moran and mark man, both great guys.

23:38

Now

23:38

the

23:38

story

23:38

that

23:38

Frank

23:38

spoke

23:38

of

23:38

about

23:38

sweet

23:38

hollow

23:38

road,

23:38

I've

23:38

never

23:38

heard

23:38

of

23:38

this

23:38

road,

23:38

which

23:38

is

23:48

intriguing. And I wish I had a little more time to dive into it.

23:52

And it's something I'll probably do in the future, but the descriptions that he gave, I couldn't help, but notice the similarities to another legend, thousands of miles away, the San Antonio ghost tracks, which is there a set of train tracks in the city of San Antonio, Texas, that people would park on and sprinkle baby powder on their bumper.

24:15

And supposedly will actually once do this while I was listening to Frank's call, I dug up this video clip that I was going to try and find a segue to.

24:27

So let's let K S a T ABC news 12 out of San Antonio, fill you in on all these details.

24:35

It's a famous San Antonio, urban legend, the ghost tracks at the Shane road, railroad crossing Stalled

24:42

on the tracks and was hit by a train.

24:48

Now they say the children's ghost will push your car over the track to safety.

24:52

In reality, it's an illusion it's gravitational pole, not a ghostly push that gets you over the track, or at least it did that Right

25:01

there as a center Of the track, the crossing is shutting down temporarily on Monday.

25:05

Union Pacific is adding a sighting track that we'll go through here.

25:08

A railroad spokesman sent the project will change the elevation of the site and the phenomenon that's brought so many people there isn't that against the law.

25:18

Y I that's horrible.

25:21

I wouldn't, I don't want that at all.

25:25

The spokesman said the project wasn't proposed because of the phenomenon, but having a goal weight is a side benefit for the railroad.

25:30

It's drawn people to do unsafe stuff at an active train crossing.

25:33

He said, chasing a decades old ghost story that won't even survive until Halloween.

25:38

Then I guess We'll have to try it again.

25:42

And that clip was from 2018 around Halloween time.

25:45

And it just goes to show you that these places won't be there forever.

25:50

So there's something spooky out there.

25:53

You wanna experience witness now's the time to do it.

25:57

Thanks again, Frank, for sharing your entry tonight's

27:54

Now this next one comes to us all the way from the Pacific Northwest.

27:58

Please welcome Jackie to the program.

28:02

Hi Derek. This is Jackie from Washington, and I have a story that takes place in my childhood home.

28:09

So I lived here from age eight until about 18, and then a few years ago, I came back to house it, or my stepdad who still owns the home and was in the process of selling it.

28:24

So when I came back to house that it was just for the winter.

28:27

I never thought this house was haunted.

28:30

Really. I still am not sure if it really was, but I had some strange experiences there.

28:34

I always felt a little bit weird in the house alone, but you know, I kind of brushed that off at the beginning.

28:42

There was one night where I was sitting at the kitchen counter and I had a feeling of dread that came over me, which, you know, if you've been there, you know how that feels like the hair stands up on the back of your neck.

28:57

And then shortly thereafter, I heard a strange sort of ticking the sound coming from behind me.

29:04

And it unnerved me. I got up and I looked around from where the sound was coming from.

29:09

And it turns out that it was a wall clock above the pantry door and it was ticking backwards.

29:15

It would tick backwards, a couple ticks and then forward and then backwards and then forward again.

29:21

And then immediately after that, immediately, as soon as I realized that that was happening, I cocked my head and I looked at it and then the Alexa turned on by itself and started saying, it's home, it's home.

29:38

It's home. Of course, I ran over there and unplugged that thing right away.

29:44

And you know, of course it could be coincidence that both of them started malfunctioning at the same time or doing things at the same time, but they weren't connected the clock.

29:52

Wasn't a smart clock or anything. It was just a wall clock with batteries.

29:56

So that was the first thing that kind of freaked me out.

30:00

There was a couple doors upstairs, that double doors that would open on their own while I was gone and he'd come home and find them open.

30:07

I'd actually have to tie them shut.

30:09

And that never happened to my stepdad while he was alone in the home.

30:12

It was just while I was there.

30:14

Another thing that happened is that one night I got out of the shower.

30:18

It was like 11 o'clock at night. I went to my room and suddenly the alarm, the house alarm went off.

30:24

It did this two times in a row. And it kept telling me that there was a breach at the back garage door in the back of the garage, which really scared me because I didn't want to go investigate that.

30:36

But I did and everything was fine.

30:39

Nothing was out of place. It was just some kind of weird Gritch malfunction, again, something, I mean, similar to what was happening before.

30:47

So there was all these weird sort of witchy malfunction things that kind of freaked me out in the instant, but you know, I didn't ever see anything or hear anyone, but I did remember while I was there that I had an experience when I was a kid where I thought my mom was calling me as I went to sleep.

31:04

And she swears that she was not calling me and she couldn't have been sleep talking because she had just laid down to bed.

31:12

And I was probably about 12 or 13 at the time.

31:15

And I remember thinking maybe it's like Samuel in the Bible.

31:18

You know, maybe God's calling me because it sounds, it sounded exactly like my mom though.

31:24

And that was long before I ever had any knowledge of this phenomenon that happens to people where they're called by some sort of spirit or malevolent force that takes that mocks or that mimics their family.

31:38

And I had no idea about that phenomenon until much later.

31:42

So I thought about that and I was like, oh, okay.

31:44

So maybe there, maybe there is something here haunting me.

31:48

So anyways, that's my story. Thank you so much.

31:51

Love the podcast.

31:54

Bye. Now, if I just place my logical thinking hat, the top of my head, here's the first thing I think of is this some sort of electromagnetic search power search, or perhaps some sort of a solar Ray of some sort, some sort of natural or manmade wave of energy that affects the electronics in the room.

32:20

And I know there's weaponry, that's designed to do this.

32:23

I know solar flares have the ability to wipe out entire electrical grids.

32:29

And I'll be quite honest. I'm not smart enough to sit here and tell you exactly how this stuff works, but sometimes stuff like that can make a lot more sense than someone coming back from the dead.

32:42

But that certainly doesn't explain the disembodied voices and the closing doors that Jackie described.

32:49

So I'm with her on this one.

32:51

It's almost as if something's following her around rather than haunting the house itself.

32:57

It's too bad. They no longer have possession of the home.

33:00

I can think of a handful of little experiments to try to gain some headway regardless.

33:06

Thank you, Jackie, for calling in now, next up, we head over to my state of California where Brent has something terrifying, waiting for us.

33:22

Hi Derek. This is Brent. I apologize in advance.

33:24

This is going to be a long sequence of events that has happened over my life, but I'll shorten it as much as I can.

33:32

The men in my family don't live very long.

33:34

Like father, brother, and uncles all died around the age of 60 or younger.

33:40

And I'm about to turn 60.

33:42

So I want to tell him my life experiences just in case.

33:46

So here I go, I get the earliest event that I can remember.

33:51

It was when I was 12, my brother, my older brother and I, and my dad went on a camping trip.

33:58

All my great grandma's land down in the south.

34:00

I'm from the south. So the first night we were there, just the three of us, we were sitting around a campfire and just looking at the stars.

34:08

It was a clear night and we were all looking up when we call this bright round light going above us in the sky from left to right.

34:17

It was too high to be a helicopter, but too low to be a plane.

34:23

And it just slowly went from left to right, not super fast.

34:27

And I remember asking my dad, I said, what do you get back to be?

34:29

And he said, I don't know, maybe it's Skylab and lab was launched in 73.

34:34

So that's how I, I knew I was 12.

34:37

So we watched it until it disappeared.

34:39

And then we saw it come back the other way from right to left until it disappeared.

34:45

Then two of them were there one from either direction and they both were going towards each other.

34:52

And when they got right above us, they both stopped right next to each other.

34:57

Like they were communicating with each other and they probably stayed in that position for like a minute or two.

35:02

And then they both just went on in opposite directions until they disappeared.

35:06

So basically we just shook our heads and we didn't know what it was.

35:10

We were kids anyway, fast forward to 1980, I was working in a restaurant and I got off at about 11 and I went home and we live on a dead end street.

35:21

It was literally a dead end street to the cemetery, like by our house on the left.

35:26

Anyway, I had gotten out of my car and I was getting ready to go into the house.

35:30

And I remember the old Tamara's garbage bay and it was my job to take out the garbage.

35:36

So keep in mind, it's pitch black.

35:39

We live out in the country, no street lights, only the light of the mood.

35:43

So I go get a garbage can and I walk it to the end of the driveway.

35:47

But the whole time I had a feeling that I was being watched and I had never had that feeling before.

35:53

And I just couldn't shake that feeling. So I put the garbage can down.

35:56

I went back to the back of the house to grab the second can.

35:59

And as I was walking down the driveway, I looked over my left and hovering right above the trees.

36:06

And these were not tall trees with a craft of some sort.

36:10

It was probably about the size of say a school bus, but it was hexagon and shape.

36:15

And it was pulsating lights, red, green, yellow, green, yellow, red.

36:20

And it was just pulsating.

36:22

But one thing I noticed is it was following me.

36:26

In other words, as I was walking down the driveway, it was on my left above the trees to me.

36:31

And when I stopped it stopped.

36:34

And when I took three or four more steps toward the curve, it followed me while I finally shut myself out of it.

36:41

He dropped the trash, can ran the house to get my mom all the time she came out.

36:45

Of course it was gone.

36:47

So that shook me up for awhile.

36:50

But what do you do when you just talk about it to your friends and family?

36:55

Anyway, I was also 18 and getting ready to blue across the country for light builds on so pretty much nothing to report for 2013.

37:05

And this is when things really started to rev up.

37:08

So I'm living alone and I'm an extremely likely sleeper.

37:13

And I always sleep in the dark because I wake up easily.

37:18

So I was sleeping one night and something hit the foot of my bed and it woke me up and I went to open my eyes and I could not open my eyes.

37:28

And then I felt something falling by my seat.

37:31

And then all of a sudden I was frozen.

37:34

And the only way I can describe it is everything under the blanket couldn't move.

37:41

It was like, I was, you know, when you vacuum seal food and you took out the air and the plastic forms around the foods, that's what the blankets did to me.

37:49

It like held me down.

37:52

Anyway. I was laying on my back. My right arm was on top of the blanket.

37:55

I couldn't move my right arm. I could lose my head.

37:58

I just couldn't open my eyes, but I could feel the pressure around my legs that something was on top of me.

38:05

And I'm thinking all the time, I have a bat to ride him to the right of my dad.

38:09

And I'm thinking to myself, if this thing moves one more time, I'm grabbing the bat and I'm just going to start singing.

38:15

I don't care what damage I caused.

38:17

I am going to start swinging cause I was petrified and nothing happened for, I'm going to say maybe 10, 15 seconds.

38:27

Then it moved again towards me.

38:30

I lifted my right arm to reach for the bat.

38:33

As soon as I lifted my right arm, this long and very strong hand, grabbed my right arm and slammed it down into my chest and boom, I was out.

38:47

Next thing I know is it's morning.

38:49

And I sit up on the bed going, did that really happen?

38:52

I remembered it vividly.

38:55

The thing that scared me the most was whatever this was.

38:57

It can read my line. It knew I was going to the bat and it knew when I was going for the bat.

39:03

So that also shook me up.

39:06

Then little things would happen.

39:08

Like I would wake up like struggling with someone or stomping.

39:12

And one time I went to get something above me and I hit something.

39:17

I could feel it another time I went to hit.

39:21

Cause I sleep alone. I swung at something on my left and hit something, swung at something on my right and hit something.

39:27

And right by my ear, I heard something like a clicking sound like click.

39:32

And then to my right, I heard click.

39:35

And then I heard something like, like little feet running out of the room.

39:40

And then as soon as they were gone, maybe 30 seconds later, I could open my eyes.

39:46

And of course there was nothing there.

39:48

I had to have had things where I'm asleep and I hear like air pressure on the roof of my house.

39:53

Like to the point it would wake me up.

39:56

I've woken up and seeing bright lights and other parts of that, my house.

40:01

But in early 2018, I had what I call a recovered memory.

40:06

I always sleep on my right side every now and then on my back, but I always sleep on my right side.

40:11

But for some reason I could not sleep on my right side.

40:14

I didn't feel safe. I didn't feel comfortable.

40:17

There was just something wrong. I couldn't sleep and I couldn't figure it out.

40:21

And this went on for about two weeks and then I had what I, like I said, I call a recovered memory.

40:28

I was sleeping on my right side. I must've heard something.

40:31

I remember ever since that experience a few years later with something crawling on me in the bat, I started leaving my hall light on.

40:39

So I was sleeping on my right side and I must've heard something.

40:44

And I sat up, looked over my left shoulder and I saw four of them.

40:49

And because I had the hall light on, I saw them clearly.

40:54

And they were standing in my doorway and all four of them had their mouth open.

40:58

Like they were at shocked that I was awake cause I to see them and what they were were almost almost your typical gray, except the heads were different heads.

41:10

Believe it or not, we're hexagon shape.

41:14

And we just basically stared at each other for like maybe five, 10 seconds.

41:18

Then the four of them rushed me and that's it.

41:21

I don't remember anything else.

41:24

So that obviously still upstairs because it's day.

41:31

And then I've had other experiences where I, I basically call it the zombie state.

41:36

It's like, whatever these things are, they have the ability to have complete control over your mind.

41:43

But every now and then for whatever reason, you can snap out of it.

41:47

And this has happened to me recently and probably the most dramatic of them would be, I guess I was in this state and I felt the joke and it was almost like I was in an elevator.

42:00

But when the door opened, I think this is what also jokes with me out of this space is what I thought.

42:10

It looked like a huge waiting room.

42:13

And on the right side of the room were men and they were all sitting in chairs and they were facing towards me on the left side of the room, were all women.

42:23

They were all sitting in chairs facing the opposite way.

42:27

But the first man I saw he was in the second row had easily, was four to five times bigger than it should have been.

42:38

And it looked like it was stitched together, but he was just sitting there talking to other man.

42:44

They were talking to him, there was no reaction.

42:47

It was like, we were all just in a waiting room.

42:50

Anyway, I was being lad, even though I, I couldn't look down for whatever reason I was being lad.

42:56

And we took a lap and we were walking between the women in the chair.

43:00

And there was these two older women. When I walked by, one of them looked up at me and said, are you from New York?

43:07

And I just shook my head. No. And then she and the other lady just started giggling and then we walked forward and then that's all I remember.

43:16

There are other things that I snapped out that I was doing, but on to keep this PG.

43:22

So I don't want to mention those, but there have been other events that happened where I had to snap out of this state and they were having me do these things.

43:33

But anyway, you know, I hear people say, all the aliens are here.

43:39

They're good from man time to here to help us.

43:41

And maybe there are, maybe there are some bay lands that are good, but whatever is coming into my house at the do on what they're doing to me taking me, these are not good.

43:53

I feel that we are nothing but cattle to them for their experiments or whatever.

43:58

They don't care about us.

44:01

And then I think of all these people in the waiting room, who are they?

44:05

And one thing I didn't mention is that they were all older.

44:08

They all looked like at least 50 and older and I'm thinking to myself, how long have they been here?

44:13

And why are they so calm? And just sitting here?

44:16

I mean, are they all in the same type of trans?

44:18

I mean, but they were talking, they have a mind going that they're just at a waiting room somewhere.

44:24

I mean, I don't know. I think of the missing 4, 1, 1 would with David politesse, maybe these are some of the missing people and for whatever reason they can't return them.

44:32

I don't know.

44:34

Basically that's the bulk of what's happened to me.

44:37

Like I said, I left some things out, but again, I want to thank you for allowing me to tell my experiences.

44:44

And I guess the last thought I'd like to leave you and your listeners is imagine this was all happening to you in your life.

44:53

Now you try to go to sleep at night.

44:56

All right. Take care, Derek. Thank you.

45:00

I'm not sure that anyone could thank you, Brent for calling and wow.

45:09

That's a lot. It's a lot to unpack.

45:11

It's a lot of details. It's a long timeline as well.

45:17

Let me start off by saying that, given the curse, I guess for lack of a better word, if your family, I hope you're still with us Brandt oddly enough, in short tangent here, my mother's side of the family has a similar curse.

45:35

54. My great grandmother.

45:38

I believe her mother, my great aunt and my grandmother all passed away at 54.

45:46

Trust me when I say my mom's 54th was a worrisome event.

45:53

She's doing great though.

45:54

I'm on.

45:57

So anyway, let's circle back to Brent's experience many aspects of the story, fall in line with sleep paralysis, the inability to move or open the eyes, that sort of thing.

46:12

But there were some details in there that didn't add up the movement of one arm and the head.

46:18

And of course him sitting upright and seeing the creatures in question, I don't think that's sleep paralysis.

46:29

And it's certainly worth mentioning that the details that Brent gave about his past experiences, they all seem to jive with other abductees.

46:41

I'm sure if you're a fan of this stuff, you notice some of those similarities yourself and based on the number of sightings that Brent had throughout the years, it certainly seems like they've kept tabs on them in some way, almost seems like they've kept tabs on the entire family, given that first experience on a camping trip.

47:05

So this is me connecting dots here, but is it possible that these entities, whatever they are, are interested in Brenton his family because of the curse he mentioned at the beginning of his call, do they have some sort of gene that shortens their lifespan?

47:24

Is that somehow important to these creatures?

47:31

These are wild speculations, but if I'm honest, Brent story was a wild story.

47:38

So from there, all I can say is that's incredible stuff brand.

47:44

And I can't imagine enduring just one of those elements.

47:49

So thank you for sharing that story with us.

47:54

Maybe somebody out there has had similar experiences, something might've clicked for them.

48:01

If that's you be sure to reach out now, believe it or not.

48:08

I have another story for you.

48:12

Not sure how I'm going to top that one though.

48:16

Well, Landon from South Carolina, let's see what you can do.

48:25

Hey, I am Landon from South Carolina and the location of the phenomenon was in Houston, Texas.

48:33

And it's not actually my story. I'm telling it from my grandma perspective from her cousin's perspective actually.

48:41

But anyway, he was just sitting in a living room.

48:44

Right. And I was just asking her, cause I, you know, I watch your podcast a lot.

48:47

It's pretty great.

48:48

And if I ever experienced anything crazy, you know, like monster or phenomenon, so he couldn't explain.

48:55

He said, no, no, I haven't experienced anything like that.

48:58

But my cousin, Mary, who is in Houston, Texas at the time they were doing a job, her and her husband where they were, you know, restoring old buildings and planes.

49:12

And there was a crash plane.

49:16

And so they were sent into restore it.

49:19

And you know, she said that it was abandoned.

49:22

The plane was missing parts of it.

49:25

And so, you know, they were just cleaning it out, make it look as nice as possible.

49:31

And she said they had walked in there, you know, with their supplies and all that, ready to restore this plane.

49:38

I'm not sure of the model or type, but they said that they saw scratch marks all around the plane.

49:47

And you know, there were, you know, they ignored this, an old plane, it could have experienced some damage.

49:53

So, you know, it's just, it's just part of it, of the job.

49:56

They see stuff like that all the time.

49:58

They thought nothing of it.

50:00

Now they heard a noise in the back while they were walking like a screech.

50:04

And you know, that obviously piqued her interest a little bit.

50:09

If you're in an abandoned plane and you hear a screech, you know, that's pretty interesting.

50:15

She said, it sounded like a bird.

50:17

And so they walked down, you know, further down the plane alley, past the seats and all that.

50:24

If I can recall properly, it was in pilot's chair.

50:29

Okay. And I don't know if anyone has ever reported on your show about a creature like this or, or what?

50:35

I couldn't tell her what it was. Cause I don't have any experience.

50:38

No was cryptids or whatever.

50:41

She told me that they saw a nest, a nest and that a bird light creature that's about six feet with a human face, had turned and looked at them.

50:59

And of course they were out of that plane.

51:02

They were gone. As soon as they saw that they were out.

51:06

I'm pretty sure they might have reported it to their company or, you know, whoever they're restoring the plane for them.

51:13

I thought that was very interesting, very interesting, you know, a human sized bird with a human face, but it had a bird body is where she explained it to me.

51:24

And I thought I would call that in to you.

51:26

And my grandma has never been one, you know, she's a Christian doesn't believe in anything like that.

51:32

And she has never made up any lies or anything like that.

51:36

If her cousin is very trustworthy person, she's just not the type of person that would come up with something like that.

51:42

So I thought that was very interesting. Thank you for the podcast, but I'm going to get off of here.

51:47

Thank you for all the work you do.

51:51

Thank you, Landon.

51:53

I love when people ask their older relatives, if they've ever experienced anything strange, it tended to get all sorts of weird answers.

52:05

No. My initial thought here is that birds tend to nest and convenient places, old buildings, bars, overhangs, and I can't imagine an old abandoned airplane is not the perfect place to raise a nest full of little birdies, but what sort of bird fits that description?

52:27

Six feet tall.

52:29

Now an ostrich is most likely six foot tall, but does not live in or around Texas, although I'm sure there are plenty there, but everyone knows what an ostrich looks like.

52:43

I doubt anyone who would be fooled by one.

52:46

And I also doubt that they'd be nesting in an airplane.

52:50

So I did a little digging while I was listening to Landon's call.

52:53

And some of the birds in Texas that might fit this description would be the whooping crane, which is a tall white shorebird with red and black on its head.

53:06

The rose eight spoon bell, which is a pinkish colored bird with a huge bill shaped like a spoon.

53:15

And of course our old friend, the Sandhill crane, I don't believe any of those would nest inside the plane, but there is one creature that lives in Texas that has a human as face and certainly will be found in that old plane.

53:35

The good old bar now, no these fluffy little killing machines, the very soft face, very distinct eyes and a very round hat, but they're not six feet tall, not even close.

53:51

In fact, they only weigh about a pound, but they do nest inside structures.

53:56

Hence the name bar now.

53:59

And they do get very defensive, but I know you don't tune in to hear about house.

54:07

So let me throw out one more culprit sort of fits this description.

54:12

And I suppose would be found at the crash site of a plane or old friend, the math man who was described as six feet tall.

54:23

And he has big eyes that I suppose could be mistaken for human.

54:30

And we all know his pension for catastrophe.

54:35

So I dunno folks, you can make up your own mind on that one, but we certainly do appreciate you sharing your grandmother's story landed.

54:45

Thank you for calling in and that's going to do it for this episode.

56:13

So again, that's monsters among his podcast.com forward slash shop Now this final entry takes us back to my old state, the Buckeye state, Steve, welcome to the program.

57:09

Hi, my name's Steve. I am from Columbus, Ohio, and I don't really have a whole lot of things that have occurred in my life that has been kind of abnormal.

57:18

However, when I was taking the trip with my family down to Florida, we ordered the plane and got going and we hit the altitude where we were just cruising and it appeared when I was in the aisle, they had take taken off the, you know, the seatbelt sign.

57:35

So I was able to get up and go use the restroom.

57:38

So I stood up in an aisle and I was facing my family.

57:42

I was also facing the row of, I can see from end to end in my eyesight from left to right the entire row of windows that people look out the window.

57:53

And what I saw very, very quickly appeared to me that it was some kind of a missile.

58:01

I don't know how subscribed it. It was, it was a dark gin flattish.

58:06

It looked to me just, it was really quick and it looked like a dark missile ish thing, and it had black smoke coming from it.

58:16

And it was extremely aged.

58:18

It scared me to death because it seemed like, oh my gosh, that was a near miss.

58:22

And then I thought, what the hell was that?

58:25

And are we being bombed by somebody?

58:28

And I was half expecting a new story to, to break when I wouldn't.

58:32

We landed at the airport down in Florida.

58:35

So it was, it was very, very odd.

58:37

I'm not sure that anyone else saw it, no one else gasped.

58:41

And it was like I said, it was a split second across, but the pilots certainly had to have seen it.

58:47

And in retrospect, it'd be really great to know if you have any advice on how to go back and kind of maybe research flight logs or something like that.

58:56

I could probably get to the year in a month, but I don't know if I could get the actual date, but it would have been a flight from Columbus, Delta, Delta, Florida.

59:06

Anyway, that's all I've got. I have no idea what it is.

59:09

So my definition, it wasn't unidentified flying off it.

59:12

And that came a hell of a lot closer to any kind of any kind of air traffic would have been allowed to fly if it was a known air travel.

59:21

Anyway, thanks so much for the show and I absolutely love it.

59:24

Bye-bye

59:28

Thanks, Steve. And go box was a flying.

59:33

Wasn't terrifying enough, but I'm wondering if Steve simply saw a passing plane here.

59:40

I spent a lot of time in the air flying back and forth from LA to Ohio, and I've seen many passing planes fly beneath us, usually happens quite quickly, but what he described didn't sound like a plane and I don't know why I F black smoke emanating from it.

1:00:02

So it was suppose this is another one of those weird calls.

1:00:05

I simply have no information on, but I can give you a bit of a tip here.

1:00:10

Steve, if you want to try to find any information, I would start with the flight number and the date that you traveled.

1:00:20

Now, if you happen to know the airline, you flew, you may be able to log into their website and access your past flight information.

1:00:29

And once you have that, it's just a Google search to see if anybody reported it.

1:00:36

In the meantime, I'll certainly keep my ears open here on our end.

1:00:41

So thanks again for sharing the call and thank you for sticking around to the end of the show.

1:00:48

Greetings, Earthlings. Welcome back to the program. I trust you've all been well since we've last spoke. Well as well as anyone can be these days, I suppose. And I'd love to tell you I have an excellent show lined up for you this evening. But frankly, I'm not yet privy to that intel. Because tonight's episode, as another in the snapback series. No, I overworked myself over the holidays and David flora and I have been really busy this I overworked myself for the holidays. And David Flora and I have been really busy this week, putting time into our soon to be released at documentary. Shadows in the desert. It's a long story short, I just fell behind. But as I've said numerous times in past episodes and I mean with every fiber of my being, I do not wanna leave you guys hanging. So tonight, we venture forward scriptless, unprepared, and unresearched. Just like you, I do not know the contents of the following cause, what were the name and location of their submission. Without further delay, and I bring to you today, tonight, whatever, Matt, from the state of Indiana. Hey, Derek. This is Matt from Indiana. I was going to call in about a story that happened I'd say about seven years ago, I was about fifteen, sixteen years old. Back then me and my friend, I'm not gonna say his name. We were really in the ghost adventures and stuff like that, and we started to dabble in ghost hunting. And the thing about my buddy is he's always said he's had a gift, I say. I don't know what you wanna call it. Where basically he could see things and I don't know if that made it more of a hotbed for him if he was just a magnet, but where's up what happened at his house all the time. Once we started dabbling and that kind of thing, we got a few EVPs, stuff like that. Nothing big. Saw a few shadow people. But then he started texting me in the mornings pictures of him getting scratched. He wake up. And this happened for about a and it this happened for about a week. He get scratched. It's like he was getting attacked. I don't know. Then one day he told me how he was going upstairs to the living room. His house had a basement. That's where he slept downstairs, and he is going up stares to get something to drink. And when he was heading up there, he said a large black shadow kind of formed in front of him and pushed him back down the stairs. Well, spring forward, I'd say, a few weeks and his parents were throwing a Super Bowl party. And I went over and we're having a good time. And I went down to the basement at one point to grab my phone I had it charging and, you know, I was young and like I said, we watched ghost adventures and I always thought it was a good idea to antagonize whatever we were trying to make contact with and So I stood there and, you know, I remembered that story about how he was getting attacked. And before I went back upstairs, I just kind of turned around and you know, pretty much said whatever is down there, how about you quit being or coward. I didn't use that word. I used something else and you know, mess with me, leave him I used something else. And, you know, mess with me. Leave him alone. He didn't do nothing wrong. And as soon as I turned back around, start heading upstairs because nothing happened. It was like a force stopped me. In the moment it stopped me, over my shoulder. It wasn't a noise being made upstairs. You could hear everything happening upstairs. It was, like, right by my ear was just like a mixture of a brown and cream, I guess. I don't know. It was deep. It was foul. It was just not happy. And as soon as that ended, pressure lifted, and I was able to kinda move forward again. And I I held my ass back upstairs and was, like, okay. Noted. And just continued from there, you know, just went through the rest of the night. I think I finally told my buddy a few days later. But, yeah, That's my story. It's kinda quick, I guess, one of the many. So I'm sure I'll call back with more. Hopefully, this makes it on the eleventh season. I might have a hometown legend story, but it's we'll wait for that, I guess. I'll save that on a huge fan of the podcast, man. And I'm a huge fan of paranormal caught on camera. and my uncle who sadly passed away last year, watched it pretty much every time there is a marathon on. So thanks to that show, I'll always have a fond memory of that, but thanks for what you're doing, dude. It's great. I love it. Keeps me awake on the long drive. On the trucker. Haven't seen anything yet, though. Thanks. Bye. Thanks, Matt, for calling in. And sorry to hear about your uncle. Sounds like he had pretty good taste in television though. Now let's certainly a wild series of events that took place there. And your friends certainly isn't the first or only to claim to have some sort of strange gift or ability. And quite frankly, I think that near everybody has that ability to some 10, a hidden talent that only some have managed to tap into. Of course we don't know for certain, but with stories like mats, we find ourselves just a little closer to the Of course, we don't know for certain, but with stories like Mats, we find ourselves just a little closer to the truth. So thanks again Matt for sharing the entry. Now, folks if you have a call you would like to share, maybe a hometown legend is, Matt suggested. We by the way, the latest hometown legend's installment is coming up. When I premiere season thirteen, I believe that's in March. I need to check our calendars on that. And you still have a few weeks to get those clergy And you still have a few weeks to get those clergy calls in if that happens to be you. Well, this next one takes us to the state of Michigan. Where Dana is a story waiting for us. Hi, Derek. This is Dana from Michigan, and I've been listening for about five months now. I've been to listen to all your episodes, and I joined Patreon to keep the stories going. And I finally had the courage to call and share something that happened to me many years ago. This was outside of a small town in Michigan called Belville. Around the year of nineteen eighty four, nineteen eighty 5. I was eleven or twelve years old. I have a little brother who was about seven or eight, we weren't quite old enough to be left alone all day while our mom was at work. So we still had a babysitter. My mom worked at a large Detroit automaker. They start very early in the morning around six AM. So I'm assuming my mom dropped us off around five a woman who was watching us at the time was an older woman. She had a small home in the back of I believe it was her son's property. They built her a small home to keep her safe. And somehow she met my mom and my mom needed childcare. So we were dropped off every morning in the summer about five AM. It was still dark out. The lady would let us go lay in her bed. Me and my brother when we got there. We didn't have to sleep on couch or anything. She would go sleep on the couch. And my brother and I would crawl into her bed and fall asleep until we got up, you know, 7898 AM in the morning. So this particular morning, we crawled into her bed. I my brother was asleep. I was laying on my left hand side, and I opened my eyes real quick, and she had a dresser a large dresser with a mirror attached. And as I looked into the mirror, I saw something smiling at me. And I was instantly scared, instantly closed my eyes real tight. And for a set can't. I don't know why I thought this. Maybe because it was smiling. I thought it was god smiling at me. And then I thought out for a minute. Wait a minute. I think if we if if I saw God, I don't think I'd be afraid I was terrified of the space that I saw in the mirror. It was dark. You could just tell there was a darkness about it, maybe a redness kind of glowing, it was smiling, I realized the best word to describe the smile is sinister. It was staring and smiling. Sterly at me, and I was terrified. And to this day, I still don't look at mirrors at at night. And we have a a dresser with an attached mirror. And I never look in that mirror at and I never look in that mirror at night. And I I swear if I had to take a guess. I I saw Satan that day, and I don't know why he appeared to me, but he was smiling, and it was terrifying. So I just wanna take a moment and thank you, Derek, for creating this platform for us to share our stories. I love the podcast. It really helps me through my day at work. And thank you very much for letting me share my story. Take care. Bye bye. Thank you, Dana. And especially, thank you for signing up for Patreon. As Dana mentioned, it does keep the stories coming. Putting on the show is a full time job for not only myself, but my wife as well. So that's where our majority of our income comes from. So we certainly appreciate any support we can get there. For those that are curious, it's patreon dot com forward slash monsters among us podcast, and there's levels starting at one dollar. Now as far as Dana's story is concerned, I'm right there with her. I don't like mirrors at night either. You know, after six years of doing this show, there's not a lot out there that faces me anymore. That said, When I go to the bathroom at night, I don't turn on the lights. We have night lights for that kind of thing, but I never look at myself in the eye or look at my face in the mirror I'm washing my hands. Something about it just creeps me out. I don't look right. I don't look normal. Look spooky. Weird stuff. So either way, Dana, I certainly get it and we appreciate you taking the time to share. Now, according to my notes, this next story takes us north to Minnesota. Where Abby is waiting with a tail. Hey there, my name is there. My name is Abby. I am in Duluth, Minnesota. And I think I have possibly witnessed a tie clip or a glitch in the and I think I have possibly witnessed a tie clip or a glitching the matrix. Not really sure what to call it. I haven't heard much of these stories. So I thought I might as well share my experience and see if anybody else has experienced something like this. Alrighty. And the new list and I came from the Westgate Office podcast, and I was listening to the water episode, primarily home from work. And I decided to call it and tell story. So I think it was around September, August of 2019 and my best friend and I were hiking at Jacobs state So I think it was around September August of twenty nineteen, and my best friend and I were hiking at Jay Cook's State Park in we were on our way back, and I was driving through this intersection that I've driven through many times. So I was on my way to work in school. So I was very, very familiar with this way. So we were driving through some stoplight, and we were approaching or we were we just stopped past we stopped lane. And we were approaching a construction site, which is a little weird because the day before there wasn't any construction. And now the road was tore up. There was colors everywhere. There was trucks and construction men and like orange vests and There was trucks and construction men in, like, orange vest and stuff, and there was colors on the road. And so I was going straight following the cones and all of sudden the cones led off the road and all of a sudden I was going into oncoming traffic. So I just assumed possibly that I took or on turn or something. And I wasn't trying to get my best friend and I had to crash, so I quickly swerved for the left, avoided the oncoming traffic, and cut I just got up I had to gather my surroundings for a second and realized, what just happened? So I take the left turn. I go to the end of the road. There's a callback I do you turn maybe a minute that's past, thirty seconds to a minute that's past. And so I go back approaching the road that I was just on to take another left to get off the road that I was on to see maybe if I took a a wrong way. And as we approached the stop sign, there is no oncoming traffic, no cones, no construction workers, no trucks, nothing. Everything is back to And I'm so grateful I might have spread with her to witness this with me because in thirty seconds to a minute, there is no way that all of that get cleaned up, including the road that was tore up. It was back to normal. There's no way that that could have happened. Yeah. I don't know. Very weird. Ever since then, weird things have been happening to me. Just weird circumstances and weird things But yeah. Possibly. It's I'm still possibly, it's a good to a major. Yeah. I don't I don't know. Hopefully, other people have similar experience this time. But alright. I love the show. And hopefully, you get some news out it. Alright. Bye. Thank you, Abby. You know, as Matt mentioned earlier, paranormal caught on camera is actually a decent source for these glitch in the matrix time slip sort of videos. I remember covering probably at least half a dozen probably more in my four seasons with the show. Now like a lot of the other clips on that program, I'm sure there's a logical explanation to it. But there certainly were some freaky ones. The one that really seems to stick with me was the bird that seemed to be floating above the freeway. It's probably some sort of art installation or something, but it was weird to see. If I can find the clip to it, I'll post it in the show notes. Otherwise, thank you happy. And thank you to the girls that let's get haunted. We're spreading the word. I have a fine program over there that you should go check out yourself. And if you do, tell them we sent you. Frank from New York. Welcome to the program. Hey, Derek. This is Frank from Long Island, New York. I'm calling about a haunted road that's out here in Nova County. So about maybe early mid two thousands. I bought this book called weird New York, and it I'm pretty sure you're familiar with it. From the guys when they have the weird New Jersey website, they made a whole bunch of books, you know, weird New York and bunch of other states consist of paranormal activities and all the, like, weird tourist attractions that are in that in the in that state. But there was one thing that caught my attention in his book. It was this road out in Huntington called Sweet Power Road. I'm not promonged land from the city. So I'm not familiar much with it. Oh, I know well, no floor. It's there's share with stuff like Mary's Grey's and a bunch of other stuff. Like, it's everybody's pulling out and they know about all the stuff. And I have cousins and family out there and hoping to go I was talking to my cousin who lives out there, and she was like, yeah, everybody hit all of us, sweetheart Road. It's it's known for being haunted. Now in the book, it talked about, like, being, like, those onto the sidewalk and there was one story about a woman getting approval by up. And then when, you know, he had provided the registration, he turned around and it was melting in the back of head. His back back to the head was back. In fact, said it was missing. But there was one story that she told me. I believe she did a it happened to a friend. I don't don't know. Maybe she could be lying, playing joke and around, but it was pretty freaky. She stood out of friends were driving down that road. And I guess they wanted to test out one of the stories, so they put baby powder, like, all over their car. And they put I don't know if they put the car in neutral. They just let it, like, ride. But when they got out, there was, like, little hand months old of that car. I'm like, you gotta be kidding me. I me. And she's like, no, it's supposedly that was school bus accident long time ago over to acknowledge. Supposedly there was Uber's accident, a long time ago. Over there, I I hope not. It's it's messed up. But yeah. She told me that. I was like, a mess on me right now. She's like, no. This is from what my friend told me. Many years later, maybe two years ago, told my friend, the list check just rolled out. And we were driving down 10. Now a lot of long and it's like, if you go to the north shore, it's a lot a lot of the rich areas that like that is dark woody. It's it's pretty creepy, and I actually drive do that when I'm looking to see a podcast, you know, just to and just set set the mood. But there's something about that role every time I do and down it. It's it's a real uneasy feeling. Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me because of, you know, I know about the whole history behind it, but I've driven down in a few times and it's just some I don't know. I just get this really odd feeling driving down there just a few hours ago before I made this ball meet my fiancee was driving around the area and I saw the road, I was like, oh, yeah. You know, should I turn down it? You know what? And I'm I'm thankful today. don't that type of stress. It's it's the world's very tight. You know, I just feel a lot of accidents happening there. And It's a upper class net upper class neighborhood. So I would you do go check it out. I'd be mindful about where you're gonna stop it. Of, you know, people respect the privacy over there. But, yeah, that's it. I hope you can use the stories and love the show, and I'll try to call back for some more. Thanks. Have a good one there. as always, Frank. We appreciate the entry. Now coincidentally enough, the authors Frank was talking about Also happened to be cop presenters on that same program. Paranormal Connor camera, Mark Moran and mark man, both great paranormal kind of camera. Mark Moran and Mark Skorman, both great guys Now, the story that Frank spoke of about sweet hollow road, I've never heard of this road which is intriguing. And I wish I had a little more time to dive into it and it's something I'll probably do in the future. But the descriptions that he gave, I couldn't help but notice the similarities to another legend, thousands of miles away. The San Antonio Ghost tracks, which is our set of train tracks in the city of San Antonio, Texas, that people would park on and sprinkle baby powder on their bumper. And supposedly, well, actually, let's do this. While was listening to Frank's call, I dug up this video clip that I was gonna try to find a segue too. So Littlett, KSATABC news twelve out of San Antonio. Fill you in on all these details. It's a famous San Antonio Urban Legend, The Ghost Trax at the Shane Road Railroad Crossing. The school bus thought called on the tracks and was hit by the train. Now they say the children's ghost will push your car over the track to safety. In reality, it's an illusion. It's gravitational pull, not a ghostly push that gets you over the track. Or at least it did. That stake right there is a center of the track. The crossing is shutting down temporarily on Monday. Union Pacific is adding a siding track that will go through here. A railroad spokesman sent the project will change the elevation of the site and the phenomenon that's brought so many people there. Isn't that against the law? Why? Oh, that's horrible. I wouldn't I don't want that at all. The spokesman said the project wasn't proposed because of the phenomenon, but having it go away is a side benefit for the railroad. It's drawn people to do unsafe stuff at an active train crossing, he said, chasing a decades old ghost story. That won't even survive until Halloween. Then I guess we'll have to try it tonight. And that clip was from two thousand eighteen around Halloween time. And it just goes to show you that these places won't be there forever. Please welcome Jackie to the program. Hi, Derek. This is Jackie from Washington. And I have a story that takes place in my childhood home. So I lived here from age eight until about 18. And then a few years ago, I came back to house sit for my stepdad who still owns the home and was in the process of selling it. So when I came back to house sit, it was just for the winter, I never thought this house was haunted really. I still am not sure if it really was, but I had some strange experiences there. I always felt a little bit weird in the house alone, but, you know, I kind of brushed that off at the beginning. There was one night where I was sitting at the kitchen counter and I had a feeling of dread that came over me. Which you know if you've been there, you know how that feels like the hair stands up on the back of your neck. And then neck. And then shortly thereafter, I heard a strange sort of ticking the sound coming from behind shortly thereafter, I heard a strange sort of ticking the sound coming from behind me. And hit on nerve me, I got up and I looked around from where the sound was coming from and it turns out that it was a wall clock above the pantry door and it was ticking backwards. backwards. It would tick backwards, a couple ticks and then forward and then backwards and then forward would tick backwards. A couple ticks and then forward and then backwards and then forward again. And then immediately after immediately as soon as I realized that that was happening. I cocked my head and I looked at it. And then the Alexa turned on by itself and started saying, it's home. It's home. It's home. Of course, I ran over there and unplugged that thing right away. away. And you know, of course it could be coincidence that both of them started malfunctioning at the same time or doing things at the same time, but they weren't connected the of course, it could be coincidence that both of them started malfunctioning at the same time or doing things at the same time, but they weren't connected. The clock wasn't a smart clock or anything. anything. It was just a wall clock with was just a wall clock with batteries. So that was the first thing that kind of freaked me out. There was a couple doors upstairs that double doors that would open on their own while I was gone and they'd come home and and find them open. open. I'd actually have to tie them I'd actually have to tie them shut, and that never happened to my stepdad while he was alone in the home. It was just while I was there. Another thing that happened is that one night, I got out of the shower, it's like eleven o'clock at night. I went to my room and suddenly the alarm the house alarm went off. It did this two times in a row and it kept telling me that there was a breach at the back garage store in the back of the garage, which really scared me because I didn't want to go investigate that, but I did. And everything was fine. Nothing was out of place. place. It was just some kind of weird Gritch malfunction, again, something, I mean, similar to what was happening was just some kind of weird, which malfunction again, something, I mean, similar to what was happening before. So there was all these weird sort of, which email function things that kind of freaked me out in the instant, you know, I didn't never see anything or hear anyone. But I did remember while I was there that I had an experience when I was a kid, where I thought my mom was calling me as I went to sleep. And she swears that she was not calling me, and she couldn't have been sleep talking because she had just laid down to bed. And I was probably about twelve or thirteen at the time. And I remember thinking maybe it's like Samuel in the Bible, maybe God's calling me because it sounded exactly like my mom, though. And that was long before I had ever had any knowledge of this phenomenon that happens to people where they're called by some sort of spirit or malevolent force that takes, that mocks, or that mimics their family. family. And I had no idea about that phenomenon until much had no idea about phenomenon until much later. So I thought about that and I was like, oh, okay. So maybe there maybe there is something here. Haunting me. So anyways, that's my story. Thank you so much. Love the podcast. Bye. Now if I just place my logical thinking hat, the top of my head, here's the first thing I think of. Is this some sort of electromagnetic surge, a power surge, or perhaps some sort of solar ray of some sort? Some sort of natural or man made wave of energy that affects the electronics in the room. And I know there's weaponry that's designed to do this. I know solar flares have the ability to wipe out entire electrical grids. And I'll be quite honest, I'm not smart enough to sit here and tell you exactly how this stuff works. But sometimes stuff like that can make a lot more sense than someone coming back from the dead. But that certainly doesn't explain the disembodied voices and the closing doors that Jackie described. So I'm with her on this one. It's almost as if something's following her around rather than haunting the house itself. itself. It's too too bad they no longer have possession of the home. I can think of a handful of little experiments to try to gain some headway. Regardless, regardless. Thank you, Jackie, for calling in now, next up, we head over to my state of California where Brent has something terrifying, waiting for you, Jackie, for calling in. Now next up, we head over to my state of California, where Brent has something terrifying waiting for us. Hi, Derek. This is Brent. I apologize in advance. This is going to be a long sequence of events that's happened over my life. But I'll shorten it as much as I can. can. The men in my family don't live very The men in my family don't live very long. My father, brother, and uncle all died around the age of sixty or younger, and I'm about to turn sixty. So I wanna tell of my life experience is just in case. So here I go. I guess the earliest event that I can remember remember. It was when I was 12, my brother, my older brother and I, and my dad went on a camping when I was twelve my brother, my older brother and I and my dad went on a camping trip. I'm all my great grandma's land down in the south. south. I'm from the from the south. So the first night we were there, just the three of us, we were sitting around a campfire. And just looking at the stars, it was a clear nightmarish we were all looking up when we saw this bright brown light going above us in the sky from left to right. was too high to be a helicopter, but too low to be a plane, and it just slowly went from left to right, not super fast. And I remember asking my dad, I said, well, you can get back to d. And he said, I don't know. Maybe it's Skylab, and Skylab was launched at seventy three, so that how I I knew I was twelve. So we watched it until it disappeared, and then we thought I'd come back the other way from right to left. Until it disappeared. Then two of them were there, one from either direction, and they both were going towards each other. And when they got right above us, they both stopped right next to each other other. Like they were communicating with each other and they probably stayed in that position for like a minute or they were communicating with each other, and they probably stayed in that positioned for, like, a minute or two, and then they both just went on and offered directions until they disappeared. So, basically, we just shook her head that We didn't know what it was. We were kids anyway. Fast forward to nineteen eighty, I was working in a restaurant and I got off about eleven. And I went home and we live on a dead industry. It's literally dead industry because there's a cemetery like buyer house on the left. Anyway, I had gone out of my car and I was getting ready to go in the house and I remembered, oh, tomorrow's garbage day. It was my job to take out the garbage. So keep in mind, it's pitch black. We live out in the country. No street lights. Only the light of the moon. So I go get a garbage can and I walk it to the end of the driveway. But the whole time, I had the filling I was being watched, and I had never had that feeling before. And I just couldn't take that feeling. So I put the garbage can down, and went back to the back of the house. To grab the second can. And as I was walking down the driveway, I looked over my left and hovering right above the trees, and these were not called trees with the craft of some sort. It was probably not the size of say a school bus, but it was just hexagon and shade. And it was pulsating lights, red, green yellow, green yellow, red, and it was just pulsating. But one thing I noticed is it was following me. In other words, as I was walking down the driveway, it was it was on my left above the trees paralleling me. And when I stopped, it stopped, and when I took three or four more steps toward the curve, it followed me. Well, I finally shipped myself out of it and dropped the trash can, ran the house to get my mom. By the time she came out, of course, it was gone. So that showed me up for a while, but what do you do? You just talk talk about it to your friends and family. Anyway, I was also eighteen and getting ready to go cross country. So life goes on. So pretty much nothing to report for twenty thirteen, and this is when things really started to wrap up. So I'm living alone and I'm extremely light sleeper. And I always sleep in the dark because I wake up easily. easily. So I was sleeping one night and something hit the foot of my bed and it woke me up and I went to open my eyes and I could not open my So I was sleeping one nightmarish and hit the foot of my bed and it won't be up. And I went to open my eyes and I could not open my eyes. And then I felt something crawling by my feet. And then all of a sudden, I was frozen. And the only way I can describe it is everything under the blanket couldn't move. It was like I was you know, when you vacuum seal foods and you suck out the air and the plastic forms around the food. That's what the blankets did to me. It, like, held me down. Anyway, I was laying on my back. back. My right arm was on top of the My right arm was on top of the blanket. Can move my right arm. arm. I could lose my can move my head. I just couldn't open my eyes. But I could feel the pressure around my legs that something was on top of me. And I'm thinking all the time. I have a bat to the right of my bed, and I'm thinking to myself, if this thing moves one more time, I'm grabbing the bat and I'm just gonna start cleaning. singing. I don't care what damage I I don't care what damage I caused. I am gonna start swinging because I was petrified. And nothing happened for I'm gonna say maybe ten to fifteen seconds, then it moved again towards me. me. I lifted my right arm to reach for the I lifted my right arm to reach for the bat, as soon as I lifted my right arm, this long, thin, very strong hand, grabbed my right arm and slammed it down into my chest and boom, I was out. Next thing I know is this morning, and I sit up on the bed going, did that really happen? happen? I remembered it I remembered it vividly. The thing that scared me the most was, whatever this was, it can read my line. 10 knew I was going for the bat, and it knew when I was going for the bat. So that also shook me up. Then little things would happen, like, I would wake up, like, struggling with someone or something. And one time I went to hit something above me and I hit something, I could feel it. Another time, I went to hit because I sleep alone, I swung at something on my left and hit something and swung at something on my right and hit something. And right by my ear is I heard something like a clicking sound like click. And then to my right, I heard click. And then I heard something like like little feet running out of the room. And then as soon as they were gone, maybe thirty seconds later, I could open my eyes. And of course, there was nothing there. there. I had to have had things where I'm asleep and I hear like air pressure on the roof of my have had things where I'm asleep and I hear, like, air pressure on the roof of my house, like, to the point it would wake me up. I've woken up and seen bright lights and other parts of that my house. But in early twenty eighteen, I had what I call a recovered memory. I always sleep on my right side every now and then on my back, but I always sleep on my right side. But for some reason, I cannot sleep on my right side. I didn't feel safe. safe. I didn't feel didn't feel comfortable. There was just something wrong. wrong. I couldn't sleep and I couldn't figure it couldn't sleep, and I couldn't figure it out. And this went on for about two weeks. And then I had, like I said, I call a recovered memory. I was sleeping on my right side, I must have heard something. I remember ever since that experience a few years later with something crawling on me in the bed, I started leaving my hall light on. So I was sleeping on my right side, and I must have heard something. And I sat up, looked over my left shoulder, and I saw four of them. And because I had the hallway on, I saw them clearly, and they were standing in my doorway, and all four of them had their mouth open like they were shocked that I was awake as I wanted to see them. And what they were were almost almost your typical gray except the heads were different. The heads believe it or not were hexagon shaped. And we just basically stared at each other for, like, maybe five, ten seconds, then the four of them rushed me. And that's it. I don't remember anything else. So that obviously upset me. It still upset me for this day. And then I've had other experiences where I I basically call it the zombie state. It's like whatever these things are. They have the ability to have complete control over your mind. But every now and then, for whatever reason, you can snap out of it, and this has happened to me recently. And probably the most dramatic, I guess, would be guess I was in this state, and I I felt a joke, and it was almost like I was in an elevator. elevator. But when the door opened, I think this is what also jokes with me out of this space is what I But when the door opened, I think this is what also jolted me out of this zombie plague. It's what I thought. thought. It looked like a huge waiting looked like a huge waiting room. And on the right side of the room were men and they were all sitting in chairs and they were facing towards me. On the left side of the room, were all women. They were all sitting in chairs facing the opposite way. But the first man I saw, I think he's in the second row, his head easily was four to five times bigger than it should have been. And it looked like it was stitched together. But he was just sitting there talking to other man. They were talking to him. There was no reaction. It was like you were all just in a waiting room. Anyway, I was being mad even though I I couldn't look down for whatever reason. I was being led and we took a lap and we were walking between the women in the chair and there was these two older women when I walked by one of them looked up at me and said, are you from New York? And I just shook my head, no. And then she and the ladies have started the vehicle. And then we walked forward, and then that's all I remember. There are other things that I snapped out that I was doing, but wanna keep this PG, so I don't wanna mention those, but there have been other events that happened where I had snapped out of the states and they were having me do these things. But anyway, you know, I hear people say all this, the aliens are here They're good for mankind. They're here to help us. And maybe there are, maybe there are some aliens that'll do it. But whatever is summoned into my house, that they're doing what they're doing to me, taking me, these are not good. good. I feel that we are nothing but cattle to them for their experiments or I feel that we are nothing to cattle to them. For their experiments or whatever. They they don't care about us. And then I think of all these people in the the waiting room. Who are they? And one thing I didn't mention is that they were all older. They all look like at least fifty and older, and I'm thinking to myself, how long have they been here? And why are they so common just sitting here? I mean, are they all in the same type of trend? I mean, but they were talking they have the mind going that they're just at waiting room somewhere. I mean, I don't know. I think of the missing four eleven would take a flight as maybe these are some of the missing people. And for whatever reason, they can't return them. I don't know. Basically, that's the bulk of what's happened to me. And like I said, I left some things out. But again, I want to thank you for allowing me to tell my experiences. And I guess the last thought I'd like to leave you and your listeners is Imagine this was all happening to you in your life. life. Now you try to go to sleep at you try to go to sleep at nightmarish. care, Derek. Thank you. you. I'm not sure that anyone could. Thank you, Brent, for calling in. Wow. That's a lot. There's a lot to unpack. There's a lot of details. It's a long timeline as well. Let me start off by saying that given the curse, I guess, for lack of a better word if you're family. Hope you're still with us, Brent. Oddly enough and short tangent here. My mother's side of the family has a similar curse. Fifty four. My great grandmother. I believe her mother. My great aunt and my grandmother all passed away at fifty four. Just me when I say my mom's fifty fourth was worrisome event. She's doing great though. I'm on. So anyway, let's circle back to Brent's experience. Many aspects of the story fall in line with sleep paralysis. The inability to move or open the eyes that sort of thing. But there were some details in there that didn't add up the movement of one arm in the head. And of course, I'm sitting upright and seeing the creatures in question. I don't think sleep paralysis. And it's certainly worth mentioning that the details that Brent gave about his past experiences. They all seem to jive with other abductees. I'm sure if you're a fan of this stuff, you noticed some of those similarities yourself. And based on the number of sightings that Brent had throughout the years, It certainly seems like they've kept tabs on him in some way. Almost seems like they've kept tabs on the entire family. Given that first experience on a camping trip. trip. So this is me connecting dots here, but is it possible that these entities, whatever they are, are interested in Brenton his family because of the curse he mentioned at the beginning of his call, do they have some sort of gene that shortens their is me connecting dots here, but Is it possible that these entities, whatever they are, are interested in Brent and his family because of the curse he mentioned at the beginning of his call. Do they have some sort of gene that shortens their lifespan? Is that somehow important to these creatures? These are wild speculations, but if I'm honest, Brent's story was a wild story. So from there, all I can say is, That's incredible stuff, Brent. And I can't imagine enduring just one of those elements. So thank you for sharing that story with us. Maybe somebody out there says similar experiences. Something might have clicked for them. If that's you, be sure to reach out. Now believe it or not, I have another story for you. Not sure how I'm gonna top that one though. Well, land in from South Carolina. Let's see what you can do. do. Hey, I am Landon from South Carolina and the location of the phenomenon was in Houston, I am Landin from South Carolina, and the location of the phenomenon, which was in Houston, Texas. And it's not actually my story. I'm telling it from my grandma perspective, from her cousins' perspective, actually. But anyway, he was just sitting in the room right. And I Right. And I was just asking her, cause I, you know, I watch your podcast a was just asking her because I, you know, I watched your podcast a lot. It's pretty great. And great. And if I ever experienced anything crazy, you know, like monster or phenomenon, so he couldn't I could ever experience anything crazy, you know, like monster or phenomenon, so we could explain. He explain. He said, no, no, I haven't experienced anything like no. No. I haven't experienced anything like that. But my cousin, Mary, who was in Houston, Texas at the time, they were doing a job her and her husband where they were, you know, restoring old buildings and planes and there was a crash plane. And so they were sent in to restore it. And, you know, she said that it was abandoned. The plane was missing parts of it. And so, you know, they were just gonna clean it out, make it look as much as possible. And she said they had walked in there, you know, with their supplies and all that ready to restore this plane. I'm not sure of the model or type but they said that they saw scratch marks all around the plain. And, you know, there were you know, they ignored it. It's an old plane. It could have experienced some damage. So, you know, it's just it's just part of it of the job. They see stuff like that all the time. They thought nothing of it. Now they heard a noise in the back while they were walking, like, a screech and that obviously piqued their interest a little bit. If you're in an abandoned plane and you hear a screech, you know, that's pretty interesting. She said it sounded like a bird. And so they walked down, you know, further down the plain alley, past the seats and all that. If I can recall properly, it was in the pilot's chair. Okay. And I don't know if anyone has ever reported on your show. About a creature like this or or what I couldn't tell her what it was because I don't have any experience, you know, with cryptids or whatever. She told me that they saw a nest, a nest, and that a bird like creature that's further about six feet with a human face had turned and looked at them. And, of course, they were out of that plane. They were gone. As soon as they saw that they were out, I'm pretty sure they might have reported it to their company you know, whoever they were restoring the plane for. thought that was very interesting, very interesting, a, you know, a human sized bird with a human face, but it had a bird body is what she explained it to me. And I thought I would call that interview. And my grandma has never been one, you know, she's a Christian, doesn't believe in anything like that. And she has never made up any lies or anything like that. And her cousin is a very trustworthy person She's just not the type of person that would come up with something like this. So I thought that was very interesting. Thank you for the podcast, but I'm willing to get off of here. Thank you for all the words you do. Thank Thank you, Landin. I love when people ask their older relatives. If they've ever experienced anything strange. You tend to get all sorts of weird answers. Now my initial thought here is that birds tend to nest in convenient places, old buildings, bars, overhangs, And I can't imagine an old abandoned airplane is not the perfect place to raise a nest full of little birdies. But what sort of bird fits that description? Six feet tall. Now an ostrich is most likely six foot tall but does not live. In or around Texas. Although I'm sure there are plenty there. But everyone knows what an ostrich looks like I doubt anyone would be fooled by one. And I also doubt that they'd be nasty in an airplane. So I did a little digging while was listening to Landon's call and some of the birds in Texas that might fit this description. Would be the whooping crane, which is a tall white shorebird with red and black on its head. The Rosate spoon bill, which is a pinkish colored bird with a huge bill shaped like a spoon, And of course, our old friend, the Sandhill crane. I don't believe any of those would nest inside the plane. But there is one creature that lives in Texas and has a human esque face. And certainly will be found in that old plane. plane. The good old bar now, no these fluffy little killing machines, the very soft face, very distinct eyes and a very round hat, but they're not six feet tall, not even good old bar now. Now these fluffy little killing machines of a very soft face, very distinct eyes, and a very round head, but they're not six feet tall. Not even close. In fact, they only weigh about a pound, but they do nest inside structures hence the name bar now. And they do get very defensive. But I know you don't tune in to hear about owls. So let me throw out one more culprit. Sort of fits this description, and I suppose would be found. At the crash side of a plane. Her old friend, the mothman, who was described as six feet tall. And he has big eyes that I suppose could be mistaken for human. And we all know his pension for catastrophe. So I don't know, folks. can make up your own mind on that one. But we certainly do appreciate you sharing your grandmother's story, Landon. Thank you for calling in. And that's gonna do it for this episode. Steve. I am from Columbus, Ohio, and I don't really have a whole lot of things that have occurred in my life that has been kind of I am from Columbus, Ohio. And I don't really have a whole lot of events that have occurred in my life that have that kind of have normal. However, when I was taking the trip with my family down to Florida, we boarded the plane and got going and we hit the altitude where we were just cruising. And it appeared when I I was in the aisle if they had taken off the, you know, the seat belt sign so I was able to get up and go use the restroom. So I stood up in an aisle and I was facing my family. I was also facing the row of I can see from end to end in my high side left to right, the entire row of windows that people look out of the windows. And what I saw very, very quickly appeared to me that it was some kind of a missile. I don't know how to describe it. It it was it was dark, thin, flattish. It looked to me just it was really quick. And it looked like a dark missile ish thing, and it had black smoke coming from it. And it was extremely it scared me to death because it seemed like, oh my gosh, that wasn't your miss. And then I thought, what the hell was that? And our our we being bombed by somebody, and I was it kept expecting a new story to to break when I couldn't land it at the airport down in Florida. Florida. So it was, it was very, very So it was it was very, very odd. odd. I'm not sure that anyone else saw it, no one else not sure that anyone else saw it, no one else gasped, and it was like I said, it was a a split second across, but the would certainly had to have seen it. And in retrospect, it'd be really great to know if you have any advice on how to go back and kinda maybe research flight loss or something like that. I could probably get to the year and a month, but I don't know if I get the actual date. And it would have been a flight from Columbus down to down the border. Anyway, that's all I've got. I have no idea what it is, so my definition, it wasn't unidentified flying object, and it came out of a lot closer than any kind of any kind of air traffic would have been allowed to fly if it was a known air traffic. Anyway, thanks so much for the show, and I absolutely love it. Bye bye. Thanks, Steve, and go box. Was it flying? Wasn't terrifying? Enough. But I'm wondering if Steve simply saw a passing plane here. I spent a lot of time in the air flying back and forth from LA to Ohio. And I've seen many passing planes fly beneath usually happens quite quickly. But what he described didn't sound like a plane. And don't know why when if but lack smoke emanating from it. So I suppose this is another one of those weird calls I simply have no information on. But I can't give you a bit of a tip here, Steve, if if you wanna try to find any information. I would start with the flight number. And the dates that you traveled. Now if you happen to know the airline you flew, you may be able to log in to their website and access your past flight information. Now once you have that, it's just a Google search to see if anybody reported it. In the meantime, I'll certainly keep my ears open here on our end. end. So thanks again for sharing the call and thank you for sticking around to the end of the Thanks again for sharing the call. And thank you. For sticking around to the end of the show. Have a good night.
