1:46

1:51

client, Kristen of happy, happy

1:55

everything, where she created

1:55

some pins with cute creatures on

2:00

them, along with her autograph

2:00

book that can be found at a

2:03

hotel near Disney World. He

2:03

recently released a CD of songs

2:08

along with YouTube videos, and a

2:08

children's book with animations

2:12

that she created. He is here to

2:12

discuss with us how she created

2:17

a vision using vision boards for

2:17

herself and was able to use this

2:22

to help make her dreams come

2:22

true. I hope you enjoy our

2:26

conversation. And now how are

2:26

you today?

2:32

Party doing great. How are you? Good. I'm good.

2:33

It's so wonderful to have you

2:38

on. So you were actually a

2:38

client of mine a few years back.

2:44

And now you are here to speak

2:44

with us about happy, happy

2:50

everything. Yes, I want to know.

2:50

Explain. So I I know some of

2:57

your backstory. But feel free to

2:57

share with us as far back as you

3:02

want to go. Depending on what

3:02

you want to discuss about how

3:08

you got started with happy,

3:08

happy everything and what

3:10

exactly it is? Oh, that's a great question.

3:12

Okay, thank you so much. I would

3:14

love to say, in kindergarten on

3:14

a piece of paper, you know, says

3:22

when I grew up I want to be and

3:22

then you put a blank it said I

3:26

put I want to be a Disney

3:26

animator. So in my little brain,

3:31

I was an artist as a kid. And I

3:31

was like a little bit of

3:33

everything but, and I loved

3:33

entertainment and TV and all

3:37

that. But I loved drawing. I

3:37

wanted to be like Walt Disney.

3:40

So fast forward. I went to

3:40

school FGCU Go Eagles. I stayed

3:48

local and they didn't have

3:48

broadcasting at the time, I

3:53

would have definitely gone into

3:53

that. Art. There was not like an

3:57

art major. It was so tiny then,

3:57

right? I didn't have the

4:01

competence. It was kind of like

4:01

a little ball of everything. And

4:04

so I got my degree in elementary

4:04

education. So I could still do

4:10

all my like, little things, my

4:10

puppets, my little characters

4:14

with the kids like everything I

4:14

loved I put into teaching but

4:19

never went into teaching. I

4:19

wanted to go explore the world.

4:24

Because in my heart like I love

4:24

kids. I love kids. But I was so

4:30

young. You're like what 2122

4:30

When you graduate? Yep. And I'm

4:35

like, I have this world to

4:35

explore. Like I wanted to, like

4:38

just go and be and I don't know,

4:38

my heart was not to teaching.

4:44

You know, I really wanted to be

4:44

like, on TV. Probably

4:47

entertainment was really what

4:47

was calling me. Right, right,

4:50

right. Well, fast forward. I met

4:50

my my Prince Charming, which was

4:55

my husband. I got married at

4:55

Disney World. So I did live that

5:00

I watched the talk. I knew as we

5:00

married Disney. I loved it, did

5:04

it. It was magical. I'm building

5:04

this up. Can you tell this is my

5:11

and weren't you? Did they video

5:11

you? Your wedding and everything

5:17

for Disney? Yeah, baby. Because she because

5:18

I was like, I vision this like

5:23

and not not like the person I

5:23

was just like, I just loved the

5:29

chapel. I really fell in love

5:29

with the Disney chapel. But but

5:32

more so than that, and maybe

5:32

some moms can relate that are

5:35

listening is that I had so many

5:35

great childhood memories going

5:40

to Disney. That'll kind of why I

5:40

had the love of Disney in my

5:45

heart. And so that's why I was

5:45

like, you know if I could get

5:47

married anywhere. I'm gonna get

5:47

married there. So the director

5:51

loved my story. I guess she

5:51

like, used us in their

5:55

advertising. Okay. I was like,

5:55

Oh my gosh, like, I will go to

6:00

Disney gown. I mean, I literally

6:00

lived a fairy tale. I really

6:06

lived in the coolest, coolest

6:06

experience. So then I get

6:10

married and I do everything I

6:10

wanted to do, I did TV, radio,

6:16

and then I got pregnant. And my

6:16

life, which is what my next

6:21

dream was, was to have a family.

6:21

And this we're happy, happy,

6:25

everything created. I wanted to

6:25

be a stay at home mom. Because I

6:32

got pregnant and had a beautiful

6:32

baby boy. And then I needed to

6:35

go work out. So Claire, do you

6:35

ever like girl? That's

6:39

how we met? Yes. It was amazing time in my life.

6:42

Amazing because your new mom and

6:47

you need to get out there. You

6:47

need to get in and feel good.

6:51

And get you know, just kind of

6:51

back to a routine again. Right?

6:56

You know, yeah. Meet other moms routine. Feel

6:57

good about yourself? Mm

7:01

hmm. Yep. So I stayed home. And

7:01

again, maybe moms can relate to

7:07

this. But I knew in my heart

7:07

right in that moment, like, I

7:10

wanted to dedicate my life to

7:10

being home with the kids. But

7:13

what could I do as a job and

7:13

stay home? And I thought, oh my

7:20

gosh, I can finally be a Disney

7:20

animator. I can finally write

7:25

children's books and cartoons.

7:25

And then nothing was coming to

7:30

me. Like, have you ever does

7:30

this have any recording where

7:33

you like, have a project? You're

7:33

like ready to do it? And then

7:37

it's like, what do they call

7:37

that like a brain

7:40

fog is almost what I think of

7:40

with it just kind of nothing

7:44

comes to you stagnant. And I was like, I went to Barnes

7:46

and Noble. I tried to get all

7:49

like, cool little pens and tools

7:49

to get all motivated. Nothing. I

7:53

went to the beach, I tried to

7:53

write there. Nothing. I'm like,

7:58

Oh my gosh. And then a life

7:58

changing moment. We're happy,

8:02

happy everything came around is

8:02

that I put the book aside

8:05

because it was just not working.

8:05

I'm like, okay, not my time. But

8:09

I love my kids. But I needed. I

8:09

needed something for myself, I

8:13

want to create products or, you

8:13

know, things that are really

8:17

inspirational for kids. And I

8:17

love to craft I love art. So I'm

8:24

sitting and what changed my life

8:24

is in our house, my husband

8:28

built a small little desk, and

8:28

shelves. For me. That was it. So

8:35

if there's any mom listening

8:35

that needs that to say stay at

8:38

home mom wants a space, I highly

8:38

recommend a little tiny space

8:42

can change your life. Because

8:42

for me, it gave me that

8:47

motivation, inspiration to just

8:47

sit there go, wow, this is my

8:51

space. What am I going to do? Or

8:51

what am I going to create? Oh my

8:55

gosh, this story is so long. I'm sorry. No, that's okay. No, this is

8:57

what this is about.

9:02

But it wasn't that easy. Like I

9:02

want moms to really know, like,

9:07

I had a hard time like I really,

9:07

I wanted like it was almost like

9:14

a little bit of like, you know,

9:14

postpartum depression, you know,

9:17

you kind of like, have that for

9:17

a little had that. And so I was

9:21

trying to get back on my feet.

9:21

And and I know I love crafting.

9:25

So I give out pens like home

9:25

lucky pens, happy pens, I always

9:29

just like to give someone a pen

9:29

and go, here's a lucky pen. So I

9:33

thought, oh my gosh, I just

9:33

start playing around with

9:35

designing pens, and turn them

9:35

into characters because it

9:40

couldn't get it in my head and

9:40

put it on paper. But guess what,

9:43

I can create it with a pen, or a

9:43

pencil or you know, I mean, I

9:49

just started making all these

9:49

magical, I guess pens and

9:53

pencils, and characters. And so

9:53

in my mind, it was like that was

9:57

my way of being like Walt

9:57

Disney. So I created my company,

10:02

happy, happy everything in 2016.

10:02

And it felt amazing to feel like

10:08

you had something that was yours

10:08

that you're touching the world.

10:12

And that I knew was gonna grow

10:12

and grow. I just, I was so happy

10:18

and fulfilled that each thing I

10:18

made had a purpose, really

10:23

purpose like it was going to

10:23

make a child smile, or sometimes

10:27

even a mom, grandma, and you

10:27

never know that. It was all

10:31

ages. It was kind of cool. Like

10:31

I realized, Oh, cool. Like, that

10:34

lady likes puppy pens, and I

10:34

didn't know that. But you know,

10:38

it's like, it's so rewarding.

10:38

And again, it really started

10:44

with having your own space in

10:44

the house. If you are a stay at

10:49

home mom and you're looking to

10:49

get going, you know doing

10:51

something. Yeah, right. Yeah, yeah. I mean,

10:53

you need a space and sometimes

10:56

that's where like you said you

10:56

went to the beach and that

10:59

didn't spark creativity.

10:59

Although many people it might

11:02

have looked for you it was more

11:02

of a designated space that you

11:07

need it. So yeah. So now I

11:07

remember that your pencils and

11:15

your pens ended up getting into

11:15

some of the Disney resorts. Is

11:20

that where they were? Yes, they are still there. Okay,

11:21

funny story but again another I

11:25

guess I like teachable moments.

11:25

So you're I am doing so well

11:32

that the Four Seasons in Orlando

11:32

which the Disney Resort they I

11:38

started to get into little cute

11:38

little hair clips, magic wands,

11:42

pens and a journal that has the

11:42

logo Happy, happy everything and

11:46

it's very, you know, fun and

11:46

very fun operations right. They

11:52

wanted to put it in all the

11:52

rooms as like an amenity. So

11:56

like, whether it's like a

11:56

princess tents, so you know, you

12:00

could call up and let's say one

12:00

of your kids gets their

12:03

birthday, you can surprise them

12:03

with this in room amenity. And

12:06

it was my products. And I'm

12:06

like, so I was like that girl, I

12:11

even have video capturing till

12:11

11 o'clock at night. handmaking

12:14

like a like a assembly line, you

12:14

know, like all these pens, so I

12:18

literally was so tired. I like

12:18

loved it. I loved it. I got so

12:23

much gratitude. I mean, the film

12:23

it, you know, and I was

12:26

grateful. Because I was doing

12:26

what I love. It was a design

12:30

that people it brought

12:30

happiness. I will do and so

12:34

here's the here's the learning

12:34

curve. It got to the point where

12:39

I mean, we're talking hundreds,

12:39

like when you first tried to

12:41

train people it was you know,

12:41

didn't work out. I tried China

12:45

that didn't work out. Just

12:45

because they couldn't get the

12:49

detail. Right. It's very, it's

12:49

detailed. So I had to pivot. And

12:55

that's where I would teach

12:55

anyone listening, that you just

12:59

can't do it all you really step

12:59

back when I learned the hard way

13:04

I got like pretty rundown. And I

13:04

was like I had to write a nice,

13:09

you know, letter to myself.

13:09

Okay, Kristen, you know what?

13:13

Pens can't be can't do all the

13:13

pens right now. You can you can

13:17

manufacture the journals. And

13:17

then I have autographed books

13:20

that they asked me to make. So

13:20

now I have that liquor store a

13:24

boy and a girl. So they can take

13:24

them to Disney. So I have that

13:28

where I don't have to hand make

13:28

it. I got to show you. I'm

13:32

sorry. It's such a visual this

13:32

is we have I think it's pretty

13:36

cool. Because it's like a

13:36

prince.

13:39

Okay, yes. And then, of course, you know,

13:42

to your magic wand for girls,

13:45

but they're kind of like memory books. Uh huh.

13:49

In right, like back when we were

13:49

like eight years old, you know,

13:52

you write down what Princess you

13:52

saw on how you felt and the date

13:57

stuff like that. So it's kind of

13:57

nostalgic. So they asked me to

14:01

create those, I made those for

14:01

them. But I did pause on the

14:06

pens, because again, I just

14:06

couldn't produce fast enough. So

14:11

I will get back to it. But I

14:11

just want anyone listening to

14:15

know, it's okay to pause.

14:18

Well, and I think that's a great

14:18

segue or great information.

14:24

Because what I'm thinking is

14:24

this happens to us, as women

14:29

moms all the time. Yeah, we

14:29

become, we have a dream or a

14:34

vision of what something's going

14:34

to be, even just say motherhood,

14:38

and then we get it. And it may

14:38

not be quite like we expected it

14:44

or may be overwhelming, or

14:44

things like that. And then we

14:51

feel guilt. For not here we got

14:51

everything we last for. And it's

14:57

perfect. And either I don't feel

14:57

feel fulfilled, or I can't live

15:03

up to the expectation or

15:03

whatever. And now we're having

15:08

to feel like we can't do it any

15:08

longer. And the fact that you

15:13

were able to pivot or pause and

15:13

say I can't is huge, because

15:20

many people will continue on and

15:20

just get themselves rundown and

15:24

miserable and unhappy. And then

15:24

be very depressed or feel so

15:30

much guilt because here I got

15:30

everything I asked for and you

15:36

know, I can't even I can't even

15:36

do what I dreamed of happening.

15:41

And now I'm you know, then they

15:41

start to self sabotage. I feel

15:44

so bad for you know, that type

15:44

of thing.

15:48

Totally. You nailed it. The

15:48

guilt is huge, huge because

15:51

you've worked so hard, I mean

15:51

years to get to where you were,

15:55

and then you're like, oh my

15:55

gosh, this isn't working like

15:58

what what am I what am I gonna

15:58

do? I was worried and again,

16:02

this as a business owner

16:02

entrepreneur, I was like, am I

16:05

gonna lose an account? Am I gonna lose them and account at that like a dream

16:07

account?

16:12

But instead, they were as nice

16:12

as could be, but it was the

16:16

hardest. I mean, intentional, I

16:16

had to, like spend so much time

16:20

on that email just really being

16:20

intentional. Honest, and that

16:26

that, hey, it's not the end, but

16:26

it's just right now I have to

16:31

pause, you know. And it led me

16:31

to open other doors, which is

16:36

like, how companies shift and

16:36

grow. But as a I'm really right

16:41

now a one man band. So any any

16:41

entrepreneurs that are one man

16:46

bands right now no, like, things

16:46

will shift and grow. But I look

16:50

at it now. The pain and the

16:50

pleasure. It's like, wow, like,

16:55

sometimes we have to go through

16:55

that. To get to where we are,

16:59

you know, and I would never have

16:59

my music or grow as much as I

17:04

have if I hadn't paused on

17:04

making hundreds of pens a month.

17:09

Oh, and my choice, my choice.

17:09

Like, everyone, I did try to

17:13

train people, but I just want

17:13

you know, like I did enjoy it.

17:17

But I wasn't also you're stuck,

17:17

you know, right. Right. You're.

17:24

Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And if you're

17:24

not able to, you're not able to

17:28

train people to do it the way

17:28

you did it. And, you know, then

17:32

there's no opportunity for

17:32

growth, either.

17:36

Yeah. So it was a great learning

17:36

experience. And then it just

17:40

opened. So here's the beautiful

17:40

ending story back to like,

17:45

kindergarten. So because I

17:45

paused, and I had some breathing

17:50

time. I wrote a children's book

17:50

like that. Like, like, like it

17:55

like, it came so effortlessly.

17:55

And when I say effortlessly,

18:01

it's like who I am. But it was

18:01

like, I wasn't trying. I was

18:05

like, Oh my gosh. And I was I

18:05

was like at my house looking up

18:09

in the clouds. And I haven't I

18:09

haven't published it yet. But

18:13

the fact that it's so what's

18:13

called Happy clouds.

18:18

Cute. That's so cute.

18:21

All positive affirmations for

18:21

kids like everything I would

18:25

would have wished for. But guess

18:25

what, 10 years ago, eight years

18:29

ago, I wasn't ready. You know, I

18:29

had to go through my own things

18:32

in my life, to be able to teach

18:32

this now to kids, like how I

18:37

deal with things I can teach

18:37

through books, and products and

18:42

songs. And I have the time. So

18:42

it's neat how things open up and

18:48

your creativity may open up when

18:48

you pivot.

18:52

Yeah. Now you have a CD as well.

19:00

Oh, yeah, it sounds old school.

19:00

But CD I, the album, my

19:07

copyright artist said to she

19:07

encouraged me and anyone else

19:10

who does. So make something

19:10

tangible. People can hold

19:15

characters and they can open it

19:15

up. And they can see all the

19:19

songs, the titles. And of

19:19

course, you know, the artists,

19:22

she said it even like Adele

19:22

still does this. I said this is

19:26

for like I had to go noble and

19:26

see if they really sold CDs

19:31

anymore. They do. But they do. Yeah. And

19:34

they're even going back and

19:37

records. Like there's a second

19:37

life of records to coming. Oh,

19:42

good. Thank you for that. I didn't know that. But it's

19:45

really, really cool. Because I'm

19:50

really proud that my kids are on

19:50

the album. A lot of these songs

19:54

like they go hand in hand with

19:54

like, my characters, the book,

19:59

my message, positive

19:59

affirmations, believing in

20:03

yourself. Some are just once

20:03

great for kamin he noted on how

20:10

teaching, breathing telling

20:10

children it's going to be it's

20:13

going to be okay. Some songs are

20:13

just to get you move in and

20:17

groovin and you know, it's like

20:17

a blend but I really again,

20:22

being an animator, I wanted it

20:22

on YouTube, so that not only do

20:28

you can you hear it on like

20:28

Spotify and Amazon music or a

20:33

CD, but you go to my YouTube

20:33

channel and every single song is

20:39

animated and you can sing along

20:39

with it. So

20:42

there's the animated it. Yeah,

20:42

yeah. Awesome.

20:47

Then I forgot this part. I mean,

20:47

I mean, I think I told you if I

20:49

don't know if I told you or not,

20:49

but these little characters were

20:52

all ones pens that I so I bought

20:52

I turned every single one.

20:57

That's how I got my cartoons to

20:57

cute, like full circle, and now

21:04

I see them like animated and

21:04

singing along and it's been

21:09

about a month so I'm very,

21:12

very excited about it. Yeah,

21:12

yeah. Well, and I saw that you

21:16

even had pens that had like

21:16

little dogs and kitties. Yeah,

21:21

they were really cute. You're

21:21

here.

21:26

They're my buddies, you know, we

21:26

can hang out.

21:31

Well, you also create vision

21:31

boards. So did you kind of as

21:39

you were doing this, or I mean,

21:39

you help people create vision

21:43

boards, I shouldn't say you

21:43

create them because everybody

21:45

has their own vision. But when

21:45

you are going through all these

21:48

different things, were you

21:48

always a vision board cratered

21:53

as well. Were you always doing

21:53

those?

21:56

That's a great question. Yes,

21:56

this is what chokes me up,

21:59

because I was gonna try not to

21:59

get choked up, but I'm sorry.

22:05

It's a great question. Because

22:05

it it's been ever since I got

22:09

married after I got married. I

22:09

started my first one. I don't

22:12

even I heard it probably

22:12

somewhere like probably Oprah.

22:15

Or somewhere, you know. And I

22:15

just got a cork board. And I

22:18

started really putting my goals

22:18

up on literally with like a

22:23

pushpin on a cork board. Since

22:23

2009. I'm such a dreamer. But

22:29

for me, it just helped me to

22:29

look at it daily. Wish it dream

22:35

it do it. Right. And some of

22:35

them, so out there. But then it

22:41

was like, holy cow, it came

22:41

true. Like when I had this, me

22:45

and a Cinderella dress or

22:45

whatever, you know, me being my

22:48

it came true. Like, okay, great.

22:48

And then I would take it off the

22:52

board and you add something. And

22:52

so the latest and greatest was I

22:59

did wandering COVID, just for

22:59

COVID. Just to get me through

23:02

COVID. Separate my main one is

23:02

still intact, but like the COVID

23:09

one, I was looking at it. And in

23:09

the center, I always like to

23:12

tell people to put what you're

23:12

really focusing on most or need

23:17

to hear most put right in the

23:17

center of the board. And my word

23:23

was I can do anything. Oh, do

23:23

you have a board?

23:26

I do. I do. What's in the

23:26

center? It's vibe center. And I

23:33

didn't even think about it, but

23:33

it says you are what you

23:35

manifest your man. That's amazing. That's amazing.

23:37

I mean, you are the podcast you

23:44

knew did it. Yeah. Awesome.

23:44

Yeah. Wow. That's really cool.

23:50

That's really cool. So whatever

23:50

you're gonna manifest Next,

23:54

we'll be up. But the one that I

23:54

my 2009 board that has never

24:02

been changes, I will be the next

24:02

Jim Henson slash Walt Disney. I

24:08

will create magical characters

24:08

and bring them to life for kids

24:11

and make them smile. Never let

24:11

that one go. I've never let it

24:15

go. So like, here we are. 2008

24:15

What 23 And I brought out my

24:21

first I just got a professional

24:21

puppet made. Oh, how cute

24:25

is that? And it's like your

24:25

pins. Like, yeah, yes.

24:32

That's coming to town one day.

24:32

And then you know, it's this

24:35

whole brand. It's like, it's a

24:35

sticker. But it's not just a

24:39

sticker. It says I can do this.

24:39

I got this. You mean, we all

24:45

could use not? I mean, really is

24:45

any age. I mean, us big kids can

24:49

use those words. Right? I

24:49

really, I really, really love

24:54

the little ones because starting

24:54

them young with just positive.

25:00

Anything, just just love them.

25:00

So just to truly fill their cup

25:04

because why not?

25:07

Right. Let me ask you, do you

25:07

because you're so as you're into

25:13

vision boards and creating this

25:13

like movement for yourself? Do

25:20

you have your children do them

25:20

as well?

25:24

I have they there's got lost in

25:24

the hurricane. But but thank you

25:31

because now that I have a new

25:31

space they're definitely going

25:34

to do I even thought about doing

25:34

workshops again, you know,

25:37

picking up? Well yeah, for do

25:39

a workshop, let me know because

25:39

I'd love to participate and then

25:43

share with the moms as well, to

25:43

have them participate as well.

25:47

So let us know for sure. I'd be happy to it can be so

25:49

simple to you don't have to make

25:52

it complex. It could be just, it

25:52

is hard to do. That's why you

25:56

have to almost sign up for

25:56

things. It's almost like working

25:58

out. It's right. You sign up for

25:58

something you you'll do it

26:02

otherwise. I could think of 10

26:02

other things besides sitting

26:06

down and spending time on myself

26:06

and making a vision board you

26:10

know, it's like like, yeah, so I

26:10

love love workshops. Yeah. keeps

26:15

you accountable. That's a good

26:15

word. Right? Because yes,

26:18

yes, yeah, they do. So you've

26:18

had a lot of things going on.

26:28

And we were talking before we

26:28

began about how, you know, a lot

26:33

of people have a lot of things

26:33

going on. And you as well, how,

26:38

how do you handle all of these

26:38

things that occur that can be

26:43

devastating? And how do you stay

26:43

so positive about it?

26:49

That's a great question. Okay.

26:49

So, for me personally, I work on

26:56

it every single day. I am not

26:56

like if someone's like, Oh,

27:00

you're so happy, like, No, I

27:00

won't actually work on it. I

27:03

really do. Like I, I want to

27:03

exude, I want kids to have these

27:08

really fun, whimsical products.

27:08

But like, I'm human, we have bad

27:13

days, or we have, you know,

27:13

months, whatever it is. And so

27:18

the things that I do, I mean,

27:18

and I bill really believe in

27:23

exercise, really believe in it,

27:23

even if it's just a walk, but I

27:28

know it's hard for people to get

27:28

motivated. And so my biggest

27:32

thing is to try to find a

27:32

workout buddy, or a trick to get

27:38

that to get us something

27:38

scheduled on the calendar so you

27:41

can get moving. It is personally

27:41

for me, it's so hard to get

27:45

motivated on my own. So I need

27:45

I've twice put out on Facebook,

27:50

anyone looking for a workout,

27:50

buddy. I've literally done that

27:54

because I just need someone to

27:54

make it fun, you know, to lace

28:01

it up and and then maybe if I

28:01

got into routine, then you get

28:05

into a routine. So for mental

28:05

health, I think sweating fresh

28:10

air, just feeling like a little

28:10

strong. You know, I think that

28:14

is is a way to get through the

28:14

tough times. I love counseling.

28:20

I think a counselor is very

28:20

healthy if you need it. I mean

28:25

doesn't have to be like every

28:25

day but I just mean like when

28:27

you need to go talk to someone I

28:27

would say go for it. Find

28:32

someone you connect with that

28:32

feels like you can share you

28:38

know if there's something really

28:38

tough that you're going through

28:40

I believe in that. I personally

28:40

like the lavender smell of like

28:46

any any kind of like

28:46

aromatherapy. Don't like

28:50

lavender doors. Use something

28:50

you like do not if it some

28:54

people are allergic to it or you do like no, it lavender is not my

28:56

favorite smell. I prefer citrus

29:02

to kind of energize me and make

29:02

me feel like ready to go. Yeah,

29:07

lavender. It's okay. It's just

29:07

it's a it's a little you know,

29:12

it creates that that slight

29:12

headache for me?

29:15

Oh, yes, yes, I'm talking about

29:15

it's not. It's, it makes you

29:21

nauseous just thinking about it.

29:21

Don't use it. Unless you like

29:25

it, use a citrus. And I would

29:25

recommend I personally I make

29:29

like these calm like balls and

29:29

you just put anything that's

29:33

soothing and you just rub it but

29:33

I spray so I'll do a little

29:37

spray cake. You know, essential

29:37

oils are real popular too. So

29:41

any kind of people like

29:41

peppermint once I did it, oh peb

29:46

when I love peppermint to have

29:46

them it might be nice for you.

29:49

Yeah, you've all shaved don't

29:49

like get a headache. And then

29:53

you mallet and you just kind of

29:53

like squeeze it. It's very, very

29:57

calming. So that helps me tough

29:57

times.

30:01

This is another one of your

30:01

little characters. Yes,

30:04

this is Chloe the cloud. She's

30:04

so cute.

30:09

So that's almost like a one of

30:09

those. Like, I'm thinking stress

30:15

balls, those types of things.

30:15

Yeah, like Yeah,

30:19

yeah. Kids like my kids. Bring

30:19

them to the doctor's office

30:23

because they hate shots. So I

30:23

they hold this they hold

30:27

clothing I've Charlie and then

30:27

literally when they go to I

30:32

wrote a song just to get you

30:32

through the doctor's office the

30:35

shots or if you're getting your

30:35

blood drawn. I have a song that

30:39

literally I have it down to like

30:39

the second so that you're

30:42

distracted singing it and then

30:42

they do it and you're done.

30:48

Somebody will never fall in the

30:48

doctor's office but I do so I

30:54

bought a copy but But truly, I

30:54

work at you know, I love

31:03

personally quotes so like I feel

31:03

I need them because I'm hard on

31:08

myself internally, right You

31:08

know that self talk in your head

31:14

can be negative. So that's why I

31:14

like absorb with Instagram

31:19

followers that I like, I like

31:19

Mel Robbins. I like Jay Shetty.

31:25

I like Courtney. You know, so

31:25

you just you surround yourself

31:30

with that. And that really helps

31:30

me a lot. Yeah. So I'm if I'm

31:37

missing one I'll text you. Okay.

31:37

But I do survive my death what I

31:43

work on exercise calming things,

31:43

and a counselor and then the

31:49

positivity the daily. It's could

31:49

be a book. But I love the

31:54

affirmations that I get online

31:54

on Instagram.

31:58

Yeah. And is that the same with

31:58

your children? Are you working

32:02

to help them? Like if they're

32:02

dealing with anxiety? or

32:07

stressful situations? Or? Or are

32:07

these the things that you're

32:13

having them do as well teaching

32:13

them to do?

32:16

Absolutely 100% I like want them

32:16

to have the skills that they

32:23

have out there. Like such a

32:23

perfect example. We're going to

32:26

the dentist in two days, okay.

32:26

So they're going to be nervous.

32:31

So we're going to, we're going

32:31

to we're going to be, you know,

32:34

we're gonna like picture. Okay,

32:34

we did on the way up there. What

32:38

are you fearing the most? Let's

32:38

just like get it out there. So

32:40

we talk about it. All right. Now

32:40

let's picture it being a good

32:45

thing and what would make you

32:45

feel good, okay, you create a

32:48

hole, Chloe, you're going to

32:48

talk and you're, you know, we do

32:51

that because we did the last

32:51

dentist appointment. It worked.

32:55

We sang songs in the car would

32:55

do sing, my son wrote, he

32:59

actually wrote the song breathe.

32:59

So it's like his song. He's 10.

33:03

But about breathing in and out.

33:03

So we do breathing exercises.

33:11

Every single day, this is become

33:11

a tradition. I am not perfect. I

33:16

don't want anyone to think

33:16

everyday is Disneyland. But this

33:19

is something because it's my

33:19

product. Like who I am. But we

33:26

sing this song called the

33:26

morning song on the way to

33:29

school, and it's on my seat. And

33:29

the kids put their hands on

33:32

their heart and I'm like, okay,

33:32

feel it. And basically, the

33:36

words are, it's gonna be a

33:36

great, great day. Because I want

33:39

them to like, start their day,

33:39

manifesting, hey, it's gonna be

33:45

a great, great day. And as soon

33:45

as we end, they go into whatever

33:51

I am, and whatever they want to

33:51

say whatever word for the day.

33:56

Okay. So today, my daughter

33:56

said, I am confident. And my son

34:01

said, I am happy. And that was

34:01

it. And we were, you know, and

34:06

it was like, is it working? But

34:06

I have fun because there's, you

34:12

know, kids naturally get

34:12

nervous. And they naturally. I

34:16

don't know about you, when my

34:16

kids get hard on themselves. One

34:18

of them does, and I just want to

34:18

build them up. So yes, I try

34:23

hard to teach them these things. Yeah. That's

34:25

awesome. Do you? Well, let

34:30

everyone know where they can

34:30

find you. Oh, please find

34:35

me. Okay. Okay. So happy, happy.

34:35

everything.com is very easy,

34:41

because it's just my website.

34:41

And from there on the very main

34:45

page, you can click and it says

34:45

listen to YouTube here. That's a

34:49

great like, direct way or if you

34:49

are savvy, you can go straight

34:55

to YouTube. And it's

34:55

youtube.com/the apt but happy

35:02

happy everything is the channel.

35:02

Yeah. Same. My same name for

35:09

Facebook, Instagram. And my

35:09

store. I have a I'm at the shops

35:16

at dockside. I just opened.

35:16

Well, a soft opening. I'm still

35:21

working on it. But you have your own storefront.

35:22

Yes. Oh, some. Thank you. Thank

35:27

you. So it's it's a work in progress. But

35:28

yes, definitely. You can call me

35:33

i I'm happy to do I'm hoping to

35:33

do workshops. Okay. Sure. Things

35:38

like that for kids, adults. Any

35:38

age. We're all kids.

35:44

Yeah, hopefully that's, I think

35:44

that's one of those things that

35:48

we as parents can struggle with

35:48

is we lose sight myself. Very

35:54

much so lose sight of the child

35:54

inside of me. And sometimes,

36:01

being able to bring that out is

36:01

a good thing. Yes, yeah. Yeah,

36:06

go have fun when we're that way.

36:06

Oh, you're a lot of fun though.

36:14

You are a lot of fun. Wow.

36:25

Okay, there was one other thing

36:25

I was going to ask you, as you

36:29

were speaking about, Oh, can we

36:29

find you on Spotify as well? Do

36:35

we just look up? Happy, happy

36:35

everything on Spotify? Yes,

36:39

great question. Thank you so much. You can download

36:39

the whole album. Is it Spotify?

36:45

Amazon, music, Pandora? All

36:45

those channels? Yeah, they're

36:51

all They're all available. Yeah,

36:51

perfect. I apologize. I didn't

36:55

say the name. Here's the cover,

36:55

but it is happy, happy

36:59

children's songs. That, so you

36:59

would just type that into

37:05

Spotify and, and they can all

37:05

download there. And I would tell

37:09

parents, I mean, if you're

37:09

looking for like a really,

37:14

there's one song called, I can

37:14

do anything. And I really, I

37:18

mean, I love all of them. I

37:18

really do. I really do. But

37:21

that's great for kids that just

37:21

to get those words that I am

37:25

loved. I'm special, unkind, you

37:25

know, or, I got this is my

37:30

absolute favorite, because it's

37:30

all about the power inside of

37:33

you, kids, you anything, you

37:33

know, but they're all really,

37:39

really fun. And like I said, if

37:39

you hear kids on the album, it's

37:43

my children's singing, and the

37:43

rest. There's one word There's

37:48

three of us are singing. And

37:48

then the rest, I hire some a

37:52

good friend of mine who has a

37:52

beautiful voice. So yeah,

37:58

if you could leave our listeners

37:58

with one thing that they could

38:01

do this week to kind of help

38:01

either themselves or their

38:06

children. Get into that

38:06

positive, happy mindset. What

38:12

would you recommend? Great question. I if you can, if

38:14

you can muster up the energy

38:19

because I know it's hard. I

38:19

know. It's like a long day

38:22

you're working all day, you're

38:22

tired, you made dinner, you did

38:25

this, you did that. You could

38:25

just take a moment in your

38:29

living room, or wherever you

38:29

have space. Turn on a really

38:34

like probably your favorite

38:34

song. And I would say to the

38:37

moms, pick your favorite song.

38:37

go old school if you have to

38:41

pick anything. And just get

38:41

dancing with your kids in the

38:46

living room, do a dance and be

38:46

funny, and be silly and let it

38:51

go. And I don't know what it is.

38:51

But it's just letting yourself

38:56

kind of just be free to dance it

38:56

off. And you might even get a

39:00

little winded. But that's good.

39:00

No meaning like it's just

39:05

something to do with the kids.

39:05

You know, but it doesn't take

39:08

too long. It's like two minutes.

39:08

A song is like two minutes. And

39:11

you did something you're like,

39:11

Okay, kids, let's do something

39:13

really silly. You know, that's,

39:13

that's what comes to mind right

39:18

away. Yeah, yeah. No, that's great. I've now

39:19

my kids, you know, they're

39:25

older. So they when I do that,

39:25

they just look at me strange.

39:29

There's like Ma, yeah. Are they now that what are

39:31

you doing? How old are they?

39:38

1715 and 12. Okay, so

39:42

I might have to adjust my song

39:42

thing. For you, it would be

39:50

doing like a bowling alley. Fake

39:50

bowling alley. You know, it has

39:56

to be a competition with the kids. Right? Okay. Oh, yeah. Yeah.

39:59

You make something up in your

39:59

living room where you like roll

40:02

the ball and whoever gets like

40:02

the water bottles, you know,

40:04

knocks. Yeah, when we do basketball

40:06

sometimes as well.

40:10

Yeah, that's good. Yeah. Yeah. A

40:10

little more competition. No

40:16

wiggle jiggle song. Oh, that's

40:16

buddy.

40:20

Like, Mom, you're putting the

40:20

booty music on? What is your?

40:24

Yeah, that I get it. That's

40:24

funny. All right. Well, thank

40:29

you so much for joining me

40:29

Struggling to move without pain or feel like you can't lose weight in your 40's, 50's, and beyond? If you have recently looked at yourself in the mirror and didn't recognize the person looking back at you, this podcast is for you.  If you are overwhelmed, feeling burnt out, and moving through perimenopause or menopause this podcast is for you.  If you feel as if you need to slow down and move with a bit more grace due to minor aches and pains this podcast is for you.  In this podcast we will discuss ways we can show up better for ourselves and our children without the burn out.  We will focus on overall health through habit stacking to help increase energy, provide movement snacks to help you move more throughout the day while also moving your body more, and learn from professionals on moving through midlife with ease and grace. Hi, I'm Courtney a business owner and mom of 3 who was rushing through life with my head down busy doing the day-to-day tasks and building my business.  I was so caught up in the doing that I was no longer being.  I remember taking a moment to look at myself in the mirror one day as I was getting ready and instead of multi-tasking, I actually SAW myself and was so surprised to see the woman looking back at me.  Time had changed me, I was so busy during that time that I didn't see who I was becoming. I was a midlife mom with grey hair, wrinkles, fine lines, and saggy skin and I made a decision that day to stop rushing through life, honor my body and who I had become and accept the aging process.  I began to practice leaning into a softer way of living.  Slow down and simplify to feel better, become more confident, and enjoy where I am now with my family.  If you are struggling with midlife this podcast is for you.  We will discuss:-how to lose the low belly pooch -what diet is best-regain confidence in perimenopause-gut health-stop the sugar cravings-movement for aches and pains-fitness over 40-perimenopause health-help lose the midsection weight gain-interviews with professionals in midlife health and wellness-along with some parenting tips sprinkled in throughoutGrab your tennis shoes, pop in your ear buds, and join me for a leisurely walk while we discuss Moving through Midlife.
