After being elected in 2005, Frank Melton tore into crack houses in the night with a sledgehammer, called out known gangsters, and was arrested in the airport carrying a gun. Even those who had sung his praises, (like Governor Haley Barbour and Fox News commentator Geraldo Rivera,) began to question his methods. Frank died of heart failure two days after losing his bid for reelection.
