Music, one of the oldest ways for humanity to express itself, carries with it criticism, messages, feelings and everything the artist wants to pass to the listener. In Brazil, it isn’t different, since 1920, 100 years ago, Brazilian Popular Music, already beginning form its roots, roots based on European, black and indigenous cultures. And even today MPB is present in Brazilian daily life, but is not being the same as in the 19th century.
