0:29
for details. I'm
0:32
relating this via a voice to text
0:34
program because as
0:37
you'll soon find out, I
0:41
can't use my hands. I'm
0:43
not a bad guy. I take care of my hands.
0:45
I glove them when it's cold. I don't stick them
0:48
in a fire or on a stone. Sure, I
0:50
bite my nails, but who fucking doesn't? Has
0:53
about a single hand uprising in the
0:55
history of mankind. So I think it's safe to
0:57
say that they don't mind nail biting. Probably
1:00
getting a rough haircut for them, the worst.
1:04
Anyway, I keep them lotion or probably
1:06
more than you do. You know, if you catch my drift.
1:10
The point is my hands. My
1:14
hands aren't being put through the shit on a daily basis.
1:16
I wouldn't say that I treat them with respect. I
1:18
mean, their fucking hands. But
1:20
I'm not testing the limits of their integrity
1:22
by any means. So. I
1:26
honestly, truly do not know why they've
1:28
chosen to not only betray me, but
1:30
selfishly assuming autonomy. But
1:34
actively seek out my downfall during
1:36
the brief periods of this self
1:39
actualization. It
1:42
all started when I was lying in bed, listening to ASMR late at
1:44
night after having woken
1:46
up from sleep. It had
1:48
been a fairly unrestful sleep. And despite
1:50
the 20 milligrams of melatonin I'd taken the night
1:53
before, and I
1:55
was still super tired. I figured I'd chill out in the
1:57
dark for a while since I didn't need to be anywhere
1:59
in the morning. I
2:01
was going fine. I was listening to some fast
2:04
tapping triggers with rainfall, sounds
2:07
in the background,
2:10
and my hands suddenly just barked
2:13
up in a sense
2:15
that I felt them flex out and
2:17
up without my prompting. And first
2:20
I figured there was some kind of relaxation to the ASMR,
2:22
you know, some kind of reaction that the
2:24
tingles had evoked and there was some kind of new
2:27
sensory reaction, but then
2:30
the hands clenched. Not all
2:32
the way into fists, but into rigid claw forms. The
2:36
result effect was admittedly menacing and
2:38
I immediately tried to reassume control,
2:40
but I couldn't move them, couldn't
2:42
influence their actions whatsoever. I
2:44
shook my head from side to side until I dislodged
2:46
my earbuds, needing complete focus on
2:48
the situation at hand.
2:52
By this point my hands had started doing really
2:54
weird shit. The fingers
2:57
furled and unfurled sporadically, the hands
2:59
flexing and unflexing and bobbing forward
3:01
and backwards on my wrist. It
3:03
was bizarre, uncanny, and made me a little sick. Not
3:06
merely the sight of them moving on their
3:08
own volition, but doing so in such a
3:10
weirdly articulate way. I also
3:12
got the sense, and I don't know
3:14
how else to best relate this, that they
3:17
were communicating with each other. Each
3:22
hand was displaying its own manual mannerisms,
3:25
its own personality. The left hand seemed to
3:27
be the more rational one, if rational could
3:29
even be applied to such a situation, whereas
3:32
the right hand, with its wild, darting,
3:34
unpredictable movements, seemed to be the more
3:36
impulsive and chaotic inclined ones. The
3:38
situation became truly frightening when, for just a
3:40
moment, they ceased their movements
3:43
and turned towards me as if they'd
3:45
reached a consensus on some grave matter
3:47
in which I was the
3:49
central topic. Then,
3:51
without further acknowledgment from me, they
3:54
resumed their discourse, leaving me
3:56
terrified, wondering what the hell was going
3:58
on. Since
4:01
previous attempts to exert control over them had
4:03
been futile, I instead stood up.
4:06
I don't deny that I felt a great relief at
4:09
still having control over my legs. Apparently,
4:11
the bizarre autonomy was limited to my
4:13
hands. As calmly as I could
4:15
manage, I walked from my bedroom to the hall,
4:17
and for a moment I thought
4:20
that I had failed to remove my earbuds
4:22
due to the still remaining sound of rainfall.
4:24
But a flash of lightning through a window downstairs
4:27
showed me that the weather had developed to
4:29
match the artificial atmosphere I had created for
4:31
myself. Also to
4:33
eerily fit the nightmare circumstances. With
4:36
only the intermittent lighting flashes to eliminate my
4:38
progress, I made my way down the hall
4:41
to the stairs and descended them with faint
4:43
casualness. All the while my
4:45
hands flexed and clenched and splayed themselves,
4:47
engaging in some frenzied debate reaching the
4:49
landing, and I briefly considered opening my
4:51
front door with my feet. I
4:54
had grown quite good at that when necessary whilst
4:56
carrying food, but decided against
4:58
it. The weather was only worsening, and
5:00
who knows what action my hands would
5:02
have taken if they suspected my plans to
5:04
subdue them somehow. Crossing my
5:06
living room, where shadows danced and cavorted,
5:09
with similar uncanniness to the movements of my
5:12
hands, I reached the kitchen. The
5:14
window above the sink showed a temp
5:16
to a storm outside, lightning strikes happening
5:19
with unnerving frequency and alarmingly close proximity
5:21
to the house. Setting aside
5:23
this new fear of having my house obliterated by
5:25
a bolt of lightning, I returned my
5:27
focus to the more immediate threat. My
5:30
goal? The
5:32
freezer. I
5:34
always kept my freezer as cold as possible,
5:38
especially during summer, because I like to stick my
5:40
face in it when I come home and from
5:42
the outside for a quick cool-off. Seeing
5:44
as how I couldn't call anyone, I'm not that
5:47
articulate with my feet, I figured
5:49
my next best option was to freeze my hands
5:51
and hope that they'd be subsequently chilled enough for
5:53
me to do something more permanent. I
5:55
did not gain control of the situation entirely. After
5:58
three attempts to grip it with my toes, I'm not that articulate with
6:00
my feet. I finally grasped the fridge door and flung it open. And
6:02
a sudden burst of cold air made my hands stop
6:05
their activity and turned to me, and a
6:08
mutual moment of recognition sprang to action.
6:10
Before I could plunge them into the mountains of frozen
6:13
vegetables and meat, they seized me by the throat
6:15
and squeezed. For a moment I
6:17
was dumb, helpless, my mind absolutely frozen by the
6:19
horror of it all, but something of my composure
6:21
came back to me as I realized that while
6:24
I could not control the hands themselves, I
6:26
could still control my arms, the muscles therein,
6:29
obviously much stronger than those of my hands
6:31
and wrists. With little effort I pulled
6:33
the hands away, but the devilish
6:35
claws had sunk my thankfully short nails
6:37
into my neck, leaving savage,
6:39
though non-fatal, tears in the skin.
6:43
Before they could muster up another attack in my throat
6:45
or scratch my eyes out, I pressed them into the
6:47
frozen depths of the freezer and held
6:49
them there, while they flicked and spasmed
6:51
with unrestrained vemons. And these
6:53
fifteen minutes must have passed before I felt them
6:56
grow still. By that
6:58
point I had lost pretty much all the feeling in them and
7:00
could only tell them that they had ceased
7:02
their movements by the lack of vibrations in my arms.
7:05
Carefully I withdrew the hands and felt both triumph
7:08
and dread at seeing them blued
7:11
and frosted. I
7:13
didn't want to lose the hands, but in the moment I was
7:17
happy to see them lifeless and rigid. Since
7:21
I still have no control over them, I was forced to grab
7:23
an ice pack. I always kept ready with my
7:25
teeth and carried it back upstairs in my
7:27
mouth. I was just placed it over
7:29
my hands, and for the moment
7:31
ignoring the mounting dread of not having any feeling
7:34
whatsoever in the appendages. I mean, if
7:36
I lose them, so be it. This
7:39
is all I really have to say so far. I
7:42
don't know why I've been the subject of this madness, but
7:44
I hope it's over. If
7:46
not, then I
7:49
don't know. If they awake,
7:51
then I'll have to subdue them with the freezer
7:53
again. I don't know how many more times I
7:56
can do that without causing serious irreversible damage. If
7:58
there is anyone else, then I'll have to do it. out there who has dealt
8:01
with such a thing before, please contact me. I
8:04
could really use a helping
8:08
hand. Update. I'm
