Alton Coleman and Debra Denise Brown were a couple of spree killers who, in June 1984, embarked on an interstate string of heinous crimes across the Midwestern U.S. They were caught a month later, and were each sentenced to death as well as several years of imprisonment. Coleman was executed in April 2002, while Brown's two death sentences were commuted to life imprisonment.
