RATING
What makes this podcast so great is the level of detail that host Kristen provides-she's not just reading verbatim from The Charley Project Page or other web sources. Some of this information comes from talking to people directly involved with the case, and as a result, it takes my thinking of cases to different places, or forces me to consider the likelihood of existing theories I have for unsolved crimes. I also appreciate the respectful tone she creates given the seriousness of the subject matter.
Absolutely love this podcast! Definitely a 5 star!
Really enjoy they way these people's stories are told.
Intriguing narration, compelling stories and amazing sound effects keep you hooked till the end. Must listen podcast if you are a true crime podcast lover.
Murder and mayhem from a well spoken smooth voice that really immerses you into the crimes she discusses. I'm not convinced you can listen to just one episode ;)
I really enjoy listening to small town cases that I have usually never heard of. Plus the podcaster has a pleasant voice which is good when the subject matter isn't so pleasant.
Kristen Seavey is a gifted storyteller. She sheds light on underreported true-crime stories from Maine and beyond. If that wasn't important enough by itself, she also peppers her tales with HUMANITY -- something sorely lacking in most similarly natured podcasts out there today.
Don't let the fun podcast name fool you, Kristen is all business! Murder, She Told is thorough and well researched; clearly a passion project. The darker side of New England is brought to light in a way that is riveting but not salacious.
Wow! Just wow! This show is knock-your-socks-off good! For a show that's so new, Kristen has absolutely nailed it! She finds interesting stories I've definitely never heard before and tells them with genuine compassion for the victims. I love that she also weaves interviews with loved ones into her narrative, because it brings home that these were real people. Too often, when listening to true crime, it can be easy to become detached. She doesn't let that happen. You feel as if you are there, holding the hands of the loved ones, and trying your best to understand what happened. This is so incredibly well done.
Maine is underrepresented in true crime. We get the occasional coverage from an out of state podcast, but it is rare for somebody who actually grew up in Maine, to give an accurate representation on what happened with our local cases. Kristen is that person. She knows what life is like here, and she is one of the few true crime podcasts that honors the victims and their families in her episodes. Her research is in-depth and extensive, and it shows immediately. If you're looking for accurate stories from Maine and New England, trust me that you are getting someone authentic who does them justice
This is one of my favorite podcasts. The research is off the charts. Neutrality tends to be the basis of everything reported on. The stories are well told, and always bring new life to the memories of the unfortunate victims of every case. If you're from Maine, there is undoubtedly an episode that will connect with you in some way or another. I couldn't recommend this podcast more.
Murder, She Told thrives in the popular world of true crime by it's focus on region and small town anywhere America. As a host, Kristen is also very engaging, informative, and easy to follow along with which is impressive being a solo project. The presentation blends storytelling with case details quite well. This is a high quality true crime you should add to your podcast listening rotation. Give this a subscribe now!
I love this podcast! Kristen is great. Research is solid and well documented. Love listening to her!
A must listen if you're a New Englander interested in true crime, Kristen is very diligent and respectful of the people involved. Her interviews with loved ones of victims are something I haven't really seen in true crime podcasts before, and I think that adds something very important to the podcast- getting to know the victim through the eyes of the people that loved them most.
Kristen Seavy has the best voice for podcasting. It’s so soothing and her research is increadibly well done.Tales are told with respect and so much compassion for the victims! This podcast is amazing.Love and light all the way from South Africa! 🤍Cindy
Lovely local Maine podcast! Well researched cases and very respectful toward victims and families. 10/10
