Around this time a year ago, the wave of panic, change, and Covid-19 swept across America. At the time I was living in Pennsylvania working as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our work centered around being with people: serving them, teaching them, talking with them, reading the scriptures with them. The pandemic forced our outside, people centered work to be conducted from the couch on our phones. This shift in work and scenery delt me a pshycic blow I was unprepared for, and for the next month and a half I experienced depression like I never had before. I share my experience with the hopes that my story can help others not feel so alone. Please know that you are heard, your experiences are valid, and you are loved.
