2008. gadā Latvijā notika eseju konkurss "Nākamie 90". Vairāki simti skolēnu Latvijas Institūtam nosūtīja savas pārdomas par to, kāda būs Latvija pēc 10 gadiem 2018. gadā. Izraudzījās deviņdesmit esejas un to autori svinīgā pasākumā Nacionālajā teātrī simboliski proklamēja Latviju no jauna.
Viens no viņiem bija arī tagadējais Latvijas Radio žurnālists Iļja Kozins. Viņš ir atradis vairākus cilvēkus, kuri toreiz domāja par nākotnes Latviju un ir uzzinājis, kādi viņi ir tagad.
