Dr Happymon Jacob speaks with Dr TV Paul (James McGill Professor of International Relations at McGill University) about the contemporary international order. Dr Paul identifies the peculiarities of the current global order, which he states is in a period of transition and flux. He assess India’s place in the world today, and critically analyses its quest for great power status. He dwells upon a multiplicity of factors – hard as well as soft power factors – that constitute a great power.
