As of 2021, the population of Los Angeles was estimated to be around 10.3 million people. It is the most populous County in the United States.
According to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, there were approximately 8 million registered vehicles in Los Angeles County as of 2021. This includes all types of vehicles, such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, and buses. This is basically 2 vehicles for each person who lives in LA.
And as you can imagine with this many cars in one County, the traffic is going to be out of control.
