Season Three, Episode 16: Against All Odds, Jay Shifman Is Still Alive By the age of twenty-three, Jay Shifman had a life-threatening opioid addiction, twice been hospitalized for an overdose, twice attempted suicide, and spent a significant amount of time in an inpatient hospital and a rehab facility. Clearly that rehab facility didn't do the trick.  But, today, Jay is a husband, the host of the Choose Your Struggle Podcast, a public speaker, and an advocate for Mental Health and Substance Misuse and Recovery.
