The letters to the Churches in the book of Revelation were a reality check. Jesus reveals that what they considered insignificant was actually of immeasurable worth and what they considered most important was actually quite small. It is this unveiling, this revealing, this uncovering, this awareness of the actual state of things that we need right now for ourselves, for our community, and for our world. God wants to give everyone a reality check and that’s not something to be afraid of, because as we will discover: we can’t have liberation without first experiencing revelation.
