A NEW NTR IS HERE!!!

We’re continuing our coverage of PAMA’s “When Night Stirred At Sea’. This exhibit is in partnership with Caribbean Art Fair (cArt), The Black Artist Network in Dialogue (BAND) and guest curators Karen Carter and Greg Manuel.

The first virtual artist talk takes place on Saturday, November 28th where the exhibit will be profiling photographers. These artists will take time to explain their individual practices and influences and will discuss the ways in which their imagery is influenced by and speaks to their connection to the Caribbean.

Joining host Nav Nanwa to talk about this further is co-curator Greg Manuel, renowned filmmaker Storm Saulter and legendary UK photographer Vanley Burke.

Topics discussed include:

- The emergence of Caribbean Film and Photography
- The art behind capturing real moments in time
- What exhibits like "When Night Stirred At Sea" could mean to a new generation of Caribbean creatives.

In addition, Nav chats with Singer/Songwriter Meg Warren. Meg, who was originally from Newfoundland and now resides in Toronto, is prepping for the release of her new EP 'A Thousand Ways'. Previously the lead singer of well-known band Repartee, she's venturing on her own and talks to Nav about going solo, adjusting to Toronto, and the need for more female/non-binary representation when it comes to music producers and engineers.
