His 30-year career includes nearly 20 years as CFO for both public companies and startups, as well as senior financial management positions at Oracle and Tandem Computers. Bolten is a frequent workshop leader and speaker, and writes extensively on communicating numerical information effectively. He is an instructor at U.C. Berkeley, and also operates Lucidity, his consulting practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.
