0:42

what is up? Welcome to another edition

0:44

of the NFL Fantasy Live Podcast. It's

0:46

me your Man, namg Marcus Graham alongside the Fantasy

0:49

Hall of Famer and Michael Fabriano

0:51

and our man Graham Barfield

0:53

and uh, I don't know. I usually

0:55

have some clever way to start the show, but I don't have anything

0:57

today. You should do a great job of ending the show. I

1:00

do one of my favorite things reading your show

1:02

notes. Um,

1:04

you're you're one liner and it always, it always

1:06

draws a chuckle out even though you don't audibly hear

1:08

it on the show because I kind of screw up our recording. But

1:11

I appreciate that. I mean, at the very least, at least you end

1:13

this show nice, right, you know, I I to figure out something

1:15

clever to start the show with, but I have. I've

1:17

worked on the end of the show. So that's good. That's good. I

1:19

was always good. I was always bad at titles and stuff when I

1:22

when I when I wrote stories. So uh

1:24

so there there you go. It's combined week

1:27

though we have we have made it too. So

1:29

is this the official start of draft season or does

1:31

that happen like with the Senior

1:33

Bowl Shrine games? I think

1:35

probably with Senior Bowl. It depends on how big

1:37

of a degenerate you. This

1:40

is true. This is true because like right

1:42

after the Super Bowl you start seeing like crazy

1:45

mock drafts. So which

1:47

speaking of degenerates, and right after

1:49

the Super Bowl? Have have mfls opened yet?

1:51

I know they usually opened like right after the Super

1:53

Bowl? Draft has for best

1:55

Ball, but I'm not entirely sure if MFL they've

1:57

rebranded it now it's now

2:00

or fan Ball. Okay, so so so

2:02

best Scott Fish, the best Ball Best Ball

2:04

drafts have begun for

2:07

for drafted for honestly in the in

2:09

the past. I know they have started right after Super

2:11

Bowl and a couple of years ago, I think I drafted

2:13

a couple of teams right after the Super Bowl and then I

2:15

got to August and I'm like, these teams are trash.

2:19

Well that that

2:22

it was pretty good. Actually, a couple of years ago, I think

2:24

MFL did this where if you drafted a

2:26

team in February and you had like a couple

2:28

of players on your team, just die as

2:31

of course of the NFL off season world happens,

2:33

and they actually credit your account.

2:36

But yes, it does look like leagues

2:38

are open best Ball tens, so they rebranded

2:40

it from MFL Tens to Best Ball Tens,

2:43

and I gotta admit the investment with Fan Bowl

2:45

looks looks pretty good. Again. Shout Scott Fish. Shout

2:47

out to Scott Fish. These the Scott Fish Bowl has

2:49

become one of the bigger events on

2:51

the fantasy sports calendar every

2:54

year, so look forward to that again. Of course,

2:56

Scott does a great job, has one

2:58

all sorts of award just for his his community service

3:01

as well. He's one of the good people out there doing

3:03

fantasy sports behind the glass. It

3:06

is not our normal producer. Senor Edward L. Murphy

3:08

Esquire is on his way to Indianapolis.

3:11

We will be joining him later

3:13

on this week. In fact, just the heads up, we will

3:16

have a couple of extra pods for you this week.

3:18

We're gonna do one on Friday and one on

3:20

Saturday from Indianapolis, just kind

3:22

of keeping up with what's going on at the Combine,

3:25

and we'll talk about that plenty on the

3:27

show today. But sitting in behind the glass

3:29

is Ryan Bartlett. Bartlett, what's up? Man? Hey,

3:31

what's up? Guys. Honored to be

3:33

filling the seat of Edward Murphy. I

3:36

know, it's great to be a part of this. I've been a

3:38

fan from Afar all season long, and it's

3:40

cool to get in here. Very cool. Are you still

3:42

you are? You are one of our resident chiefs

3:45

fans. So have you Let's

3:47

not talk about all right? Well, that's the asked the answer to my question.

3:50

I was going to ask if you have gotten pasted it,

3:53

but apparently not. We will talk about

3:56

the Combine at length, and then, you know, because they're

3:58

always guys that go to the Combine who never quite

4:00

make it, We're gonna talk about some of our favorite athletes who

4:02

we thought would make it but never really

4:04

did. But in the meantime, let's do some news

4:20

because we have two Steelers news. Uh,

4:23

they won't tag Levian Bell. They say Antonio

4:25

Brown trade must benefit the team.

4:27

I don't know. That's that's all you needed. Mean, like

4:30

obvious, they're not going to trade

4:33

him to the Patriots. They're not going to trade him. I

4:35

would be surprised if they traded him inside

4:37

the conference. Get

4:39

them out of their hair. Well, they

4:41

could trade him to Baltimore. They don't throw the ball. I

4:46

mean it's true. Hey, they do need a replacement

4:48

for Michael Crabtree. I suggest that the

4:50

Ravens are gonna sign, like sign or draft

4:52

like four or five tight ends. Forget about the wide

4:55

receiver position and just run at sixty times

4:57

a game. I mean, yeah, whatever,

5:00

They're not gonna tag Bell. So he's a free agent. We've kind

5:03

of talked about where we'd like to see him go. They're gonna

5:05

trade Antonio Brown wherever they can maximize

5:07

whatever. So maybe it's the forty Niners. You're

5:09

doing the dance. Enjoy right now if Juju Smith

5:11

Schuster is on your dynasty roster except

5:14

are you I think you are. I mean maybe

5:17

I'm not. I mean, look, and I love Juju, I do

5:19

I love him. I'm not sold that he's

5:21

the same level of productive without Antonio

5:24

Brown there. Oh and that's coming from

5:26

a USC. I think I think,

5:28

I think he's outstanding, but I do think having a B

5:30

helps it. The volume will be insane. Baby's

5:33

truly gone. I think that's the biggest thing is Yeah, sure

5:35

the efficiency and some of the deeper stuff might not be

5:37

there, but I mean he's going to see like hundred and eighty

5:40

targets just because they don't have to. You

5:42

don't believe in James Washington. All their best players

5:44

are now gone. You don't believe You don't believe in James

5:47

Washington. No, no, disrespected Jube, but

5:50

James Washington and beat Man. There you go. Sorry,

5:53

that's enough Steeler talk. But fabs you

5:55

you mentioned that the Ravens released Michael

5:57

Crabtree. John Brown is a free

5:59

agents. Uh really sneed was

6:02

m I a for much of the season last year.

6:04

So they have this offense that they

6:06

want to build around Lamar Jackson, but

6:09

they don't have anybody for la Mar Jackson to throw

6:11

it too. I mean, what are they? What are they? He just gonna throw

6:13

dump offs to Alex Colin.

6:15

That's a good question, Allen. What are

6:17

they gonna do? Well? First of all, signed

6:20

mark Ingram and just just

6:22

just go all in on the run. Just do that, right,

6:24

I mean, unless you want to throw the ball a hundred

6:26

times this season to Chris Moore. I mean, like

6:29

this is what the Ravens. Uh

6:31

that their whole offense, what they've done in the off

6:33

season. Uh, it's it's gearing

6:36

towards an offense is going to be very fun to watch

6:38

if you like the ground and pound. This

6:41

is now the third straight off season Baltimore

6:43

has led the NFL and available targets

6:45

everything. I know, every

6:48

single off season we're we're talking about, oh my

6:50

god, Baltimore has to replace three fifty

6:52

targets and they're doing it again again,

6:54

and I think it's three thirty this year. Well, I

6:56

guess I did just spoiler you did right

7:00

off top of it. That's wow.

7:02

I'm very easy to see what this

7:04

offense is going to be with Lamar

7:06

Jack and it's going to be a lot of running the football.

7:09

But they have they

7:11

have no playmakers. In the passing game like

7:14

none, okay, sorry Willie Sneed,

7:16

but I mean they know, but you're right. I mean, look,

7:18

Willie Sneed had that one decent

7:20

year in New Orleans and and you know,

7:22

butt four

7:26

balls for forty yards in every game this

7:28

year and that was it. That was it. That was it.

7:30

Guys, if you listen right now, the current

7:32

receivers on the Ravens roster or Willie

7:34

Sneed, Chris Moore, Quincy

7:39

that's it, Jordan's lastly and

7:41

Jalil Scott. Wow,

7:44

how many of those guys you drafted on your face? I

7:46

mean Mark Andrews and I

7:48

mean Hunter, Haydon Hurst,

7:51

I like, say, Henry,

7:55

you can get you can get caught up in like the Hunter

7:57

Hurst, Helmsley, Hunter,

7:59

Henry all all the all the triple agis

8:01

in. Yeah. Yeah, I mean it's

8:04

it's not a good group. And yeah,

8:07

Lamar Jackson obviously his ability to run

8:09

will keep his fantasy value semi afloat.

8:11

But if there's nobody for him to throw the ball

8:13

to, even that has a ceiling on

8:16

it for him next year. So uh,

8:18

good luck Ravens. I expect they're going to be

8:20

busy. And here's the thing. There aren't gonna

8:22

be a lot of great free agent wide receivers out there.

8:25

There's nobody that you can bring in as a free agent that's

8:27

like, hey, this is going to be the guy. There may be a collection

8:29

of like number two's, but there's no there's no number

8:31

one receivers of course, and in this receiver class

8:33

for what it's worth, I mean, I don't think it's it's

8:36

not lacking in death, but it's definitely lacking in a

8:38

top end, clear cut y receiver

8:40

option unless you really believe the d came

8:43

that Calf is like, well he's coming common.

8:45

You see that photo of DK Metcalf. He

8:47

looked like, you know, like the incredible Hulk.

8:50

I mean, he's

8:52

just about he looks like a specimen um.

8:55

But yes, I'm looking at the free agent wide receivers

8:57

and Golden Tates, Robbie Anderson,

9:00

Um, Larry Fitzgerald, Rees signs, So he's not

9:02

out is an Amandla a free agent? He might

9:04

be go get him, you know, does Bryant is still

9:06

out there? Guys, Randall Cobbs various

9:08

time is coming off of injury, Pierre Garson,

9:11

John Brown. It's really just a bunch of slot.

9:14

I mean, Golden Tate's awesome, but I mean he's still

9:16

getting I mean, and he he never

9:18

fitted in Philadelphia. I don't know that he makes a huge

9:20

impact if he were landing somewhere like Baltimore.

9:23

So hey, there there is a former top

9:26

ten over I'll pick out there. Why

9:31

uh talking about a guy that I just I

9:34

held on to him on my Dynasty roster for a couple

9:36

of years hoping that it would happen, and it's just it's

9:38

not gonna happen. It's just not gonna happen. Uh.

9:42

One wide receiver who was

9:44

not a free agent and probably isn't going anywhere

9:46

anytime soon. As Adam Feeling, his agent

9:49

says, he's not the type to hold out for a new

9:51

deal. So I guess that's just

9:53

one worry off our mind. Right, Like Adam Feeland

9:55

is gonna be back, and he's going to be absorbing you know,

9:57

a hundred fifty hundred and sixty targets

9:59

and well we'll be right with the world. Right, Well

10:01

he should. I mean, Rick Spielman got him

10:03

on a nothing deal. He's on a four year deal worth

10:05

less than twenty million dollars and you can make the

10:07

argument that Feeling was the best receiver in the NFL

10:10

for the first eight weeks of the season. He

10:13

was. I mean, if

10:15

anybody should hold out at this point, it should be

10:18

him. But that's great here, I mean, at least we don't have to worry about

10:20

it, like right, I mean, look, he it's obviously

10:22

everybody knows the story, went to a small school

10:24

in Minnesota. He's staying home and playing for

10:26

the Vikings, so I would imagine, Uh,

10:28

he seems like the kind who would give them the hometown discounts.

10:31

And in his first eight games he averaged nine

10:33

catches a hundred and fifteen yards and scored six

10:36

touchdowns. Like that's

10:38

ridiculous. How old do you think he is? I want you to

10:40

you guys to guess. I don't Feeling is.

10:43

I'm gonna say twenties seven.

10:46

Yeah, So I was thinking, okay,

10:49

wow, yeah he was. He's a late bloomer. Man.

10:52

I didn't realize it either. I just I just said that because he

10:54

was. Also, he also has been in the league for a couple

10:56

of years before he finally blew

10:58

up. So um, but well, good for him.

11:01

Uh, there was some there was some kicker news

11:03

actually, there is kicker news. Cody Party

11:06

expected to be out in Chicago. There

11:08

was some thought that maybe Robbie

11:10

Gold would leave the forty Niners and go

11:12

back to Chicago to take over Parky's

11:15

spot, but the Niners said, no, sir, They

11:17

have franchise tagged Robbie

11:20

Gold, so they're gonna hold onto their kicker, and

11:22

hey, why not. The guy has been great for

11:24

a long time. But that means the Bears are still

11:27

on the lookout for a kicker. Meanwhile,

11:30

Chris Boswell, who had a

11:32

shaky year for the Steelers, is going to have

11:34

to compete for their job

11:36

this offseason. So maybe that kicker

11:39

news. I don't I really don't know what to make of it other than they we gotta wait

11:41

and see what happens. But kickers Man

11:43

boss Well is like always ranked

11:45

among the top five or ten kickers h

11:48

and has rarely actually

11:50

met expectations. But it's because

11:52

the Steelers score so much that everybody figures,

11:54

oh, he's gonna get chances. Ye, no, nor

11:56

exactly, but just I mean, he hadn't be

11:58

inaccurate, uh, And there was there

12:01

was talk around the league this past season

12:03

when he was missing kicks that he was going

12:05

to be on the street and um

12:07

uh, he's not surprised about this. Yeah, like

12:09

the kicker version of the yips, it looked like in

12:11

the year the Robbie gold Man. He does not have

12:14

the yeps. He is

12:15

solid and

12:18

he's also a fantasy football fan. It's

12:20

good. It's always like here and though, Yeah, the

12:22

Steelers are the Steelers, like the worst good

12:25

team ever. They're so

12:27

bad at but they

12:29

win kind of like in spite of themselves, right,

12:32

Like, you know, they have unhappy stars,

12:34

they have a kicker that can't you know, succeed.

12:37

Uh, you know, their quarterback runs

12:39

his mouth on radio all the time. Yet somehow

12:41

they're they're always in the race for the playoffs. They really

12:44

are, Like they're like the worst good team ever.

12:46

Well, there's there's some moves that this team can make,

12:48

and there's some money that this team can spend because they have

12:51

it. And uh, of course I'm you know,

12:54

talking about potentially trading for Mr

12:57

Big Chest. He

12:59

goes to San Francisco and you've got

13:01

McKinnon coming back off the knee. Who

13:04

knows what he's going to be. You could end up seeing a committee

13:06

there with Matt Brita h two guys who aren't

13:08

exactly very durable, but in good

13:10

spots to succeed in Shanahan's offense.

13:12

You put a B into that mix, and

13:15

you've got Marquis Goodwin. There, you've got Dante

13:17

Pettis, who at this point is probably one

13:19

of those deep sleeper types depending on what the Niners

13:21

do. Garoppolo is coming back

13:23

from the knee. There's some there's some potential

13:26

there. There's some potential there. Mr big Chess, I think

13:28

I'm gonna call the milk Mustache and signs

13:31

to get rid of that thing. I think that's a better name. You're

13:33

still so tilted. It's just awful.

13:36

It's awful. It's

13:38

awful. I'm gonna still milk Mustache until he changes

13:40

it. So there you go. That is pretty

13:42

much everything you need to know. Hey,

13:57

so you might have heard the combine is getting

13:59

go in this week in Indianapolis

14:02

the Yearly I guess the job

14:04

interview if you will, for prospective

14:07

NFL players, And you know, I

14:09

know that there are mixed feelings. People have mixed feelings

14:11

about the combine and what this means fantasy

14:13

wise, whether or not you know it's something that you should put

14:15

a lot of stock into and you

14:17

know, we can go on and on about that. But Graham,

14:20

you've done a lot of work around this especially

14:23

you know, I know you you've done your yards created thing, your

14:25

metric there, and you've actually taken

14:28

a look at what drills

14:30

translate potentially to success at the next

14:32

level. So for the folks out there who are just

14:34

sort of, you know, getting into this thing, it kind of wanted

14:36

to know more which things should

14:39

people be paying attention to in over the next few days.

14:42

UM. So I'm with you about the kind

14:44

of philosophical debate if the combine matters. I

14:46

am of the mind that I think it certainly matters.

14:49

UM. I just don't think it's a

14:51

common sense question to think, um,

14:54

that athleticism doesn't matter in athletics.

14:57

I think standard out the combine, if nothing

14:59

else, has given us kind of the standardized test for

15:01

athleticism. And in the NFL, I think that has

15:03

given us kind of barometer of how to treat different

15:05

players. UM. But for skill positions

15:08

and scoring fantasy points. The thing we all care about, the

15:10

combine is very very very

15:12

noisy, UM,

15:14

and especially so for receivers.

15:17

UM. I'm certainly not the first or

15:19

the smartest to do any sort of

15:21

analysis on this. But I just

15:23

look at it from a holistic, fantasy point

15:25

perspective, like who earns attempts,

15:27

who earns targets based on the combine, and pretty

15:30

much for receivers nothing matters.

15:33

Um. I I have not found any

15:35

signal, Um I have. I know there

15:37

have been other sharp analysts that have pointed the

15:39

same thing, UM and found some findings.

15:42

There's just not much for receivers that really matter. But for

15:44

running backs and tight end, the combine really doesn't

15:46

matter, and it's kind of the things that you would think would

15:48

matter. For running backs, it's really just wait, forty

15:50

time and three cane um are the

15:52

three predictors of future success in

15:55

future opportunity. For tight ends, it's more of a

15:57

holistic view, and I think it makes more sense. This

15:59

tight end is I think the hardest position

16:01

to learn outside of quarterbacks in the NFL. Yeah,

16:04

well that's I mean, I think that that goes a long way towards

16:06

explaining why it takes tight ends usually

16:08

a couple of years to develop from a fantasy

16:11

perspective, especially well, we'll think about it. I mean, they've got

16:13

to learn blocking. I mean they've got to learn different

16:15

ways to line up in terms of their technique for based

16:17

on the blocking scheme, but then they've got to learn the playbook.

16:20

UM. So obviously I think athleticism

16:23

for for tight ends, it's

16:25

really multiple drills that matter there, But it's

16:27

really the burst drails in the forty times no matter. But

16:29

for set receivers I think are by far the most

16:31

interesting discussion here from a philosophical

16:33

discussion, excuse me a philosophical

16:35

standpoint, um,

16:37

because I mean, I

16:40

guess for receivers it really does

16:42

just come down to like what

16:44

did they do in their final few years and like

16:47

Matt Harmon's reception perception metrics

16:50

have kind of shown this too, but like it really does come down

16:52

and just you know, production and route running

16:54

um in terms of their combined drills. And I

16:57

think the final point I'll make two

16:59

about combined drills um

17:01

and kind of how athleticism matters

17:04

too is um.

17:06

I think as

17:09

a whole, I think two people get caught up on

17:11

one or two data points like Dalvin Cook's bad

17:13

forty time or Davin Cooke's bad three cone drill and

17:15

kind of blow it up to this thing it's not meant to

17:17

be um. I think, if anything,

17:20

just take the combine for what it is. Man, it's

17:22

fun. It's dudes running out around in

17:24

in shorts and I'm not really doing anything from

17:27

from like a fantasy perspective, Like you can't blow it out

17:29

of proportion. Yeah, I mean, like it's

17:32

sometimes it's fun to watch, uh,

17:35

you know, with the to be honest, it is not fun

17:37

to watch sometimes. No,

17:39

with with the four times that

17:42

kind of thing, Like, you know, I enjoy that. UMT

17:45

is fun. You

17:47

know Rich Eyes and runs the forty and that's always

17:49

fun to watch him do what he does it for St. St.

17:52

Jude. So that's that's tremendous. But to

17:54

me, and maybe this is just

17:56

because I'm like old school, I don't

17:58

really see a lot of value in the combine when it comes from

18:01

fantasy football. And you know, a lot

18:03

of the younger guys coming out now like Graham yourself, you

18:05

know, Mike Clay, guys like that. Uh, and

18:07

there's so many talented guys analysts right now

18:10

there there's almost a crossover from like their their

18:13

fantasy analysts, but they're almost draft

18:15

draft. Twitter and Twitter are

18:17

very interesting. I mean, yeah, so um,

18:20

unless I see where it's interesting, I'd see

18:22

where it's interesting to have some conversations about it.

18:25

But there have been so many combined

18:27

stars who went on to the NFL and sucked.

18:30

I mean, hey, I want to know where a

18:32

guy's going. I want to know what he did in college.

18:34

I want to know what the competition was when he

18:36

played in college, and

18:38

then I'm gonna make my assessment. Here. If a guy ran

18:41

fast like John Ross, I couldn't care less,

18:43

Darius Heyward Bay couldn't care less.

18:45

Here's the flip side. George Kittle was put

18:47

on my radar solely because of the combine.

18:50

I mean, he's a fifth round pick, right. You see Tom Brady

18:52

run at the combine? He

18:55

did run well, it

18:57

was it was running, I guess of.

19:00

But I mean, you want to talk about a guy who didn't

19:02

look like an NFL player at the combine?

19:05

Yah? I mean I think there's something the greatest quarterback of all time.

19:07

I do think there are some things to be taken away from it, because

19:09

I do think, you know, Graham said there are some there

19:11

are, right. I think I think the the

19:14

trick is to not

19:16

like like you said, Graham, not to get too much

19:18

in the process, right, It's a part

19:20

of the process, whatever percentage

19:23

you want to put on it, if it's if

19:25

it's one percent um, I think just

19:27

ignoring the combine is the worst thing you can

19:29

do. But yes, yeah,

19:31

I certainly wouldn't be ignoring it. But I

19:34

also wouldn't put a whole ton of

19:36

stock into what the results

19:38

are, because just because a guy might

19:40

just look tremendous that the combine doesn't

19:43

guarantee that is going to be tremendous

19:45

when he gets into real game action at the

19:47

NFL level. What it's worth. I've made major mistakes

19:50

with the combine in the past before, Like Calvin Ridley last

19:52

year. I was a little bit lower on him because he had such a terrible

19:54

combine, and then I kind of because

19:56

he had such a shockingly bad combine, I kind of

19:59

you know what a combine. Troy Williamson,

20:01

I will I kind of remember him. I

20:03

kind of forgot that he was, like,

20:06

well, one of the best route runners coming out of college

20:08

last year. I will say that the combination,

20:11

I mean, you know, we want to just talk specifically, Yeah,

20:13

Calvin Ridley was a guy because of the

20:15

fact that he had a poor combine, and going

20:17

back and even watching a little bit of his games

20:20

at Alabama, he had poor quarterback

20:22

play too that year, and I just I looked at him.

20:24

I'm like, I don't, I don't know, I just you

20:27

know, And I was not all that high on him. And obviously he had

20:29

a great rookie year in Atlanta, but it

20:31

wasn't I didn't see it coming necessarily because

20:33

of again in the poor combine, the bad quarterback

20:35

play. It just seemed to kind of hold him down a little bit. You remember,

20:38

one of the greatest combined performers was

20:40

Matt Jones. Oh, Matt

20:42

Jones. Remember Matt Jones. Matt Jones was

20:44

the man without a position Arkansas quarterback

20:46

who became a Titan and a wide receiver

20:48

and really didn't do I think he had some maybe

20:51

stuff that watched him out of the league. Maybe had like one

20:53

season with seven or eight hundred yards

20:55

and and then that was about it. Yeah. He he was

20:57

like just as athletic as Calvin Johnson. Which

20:59

is kind of crazy to think about what

21:01

I'm gonna do and what all you out there listening

21:04

should do is because I'm not

21:06

gonna be there, I'm i had prior commitment. Um,

21:09

listen to Marcus, listen to Graham,

21:11

Listen to what they say lunch, if you read

21:13

what they write, because that

21:15

that is going to be the information that you're going to be better.

21:19

Yeah, we'll, we'll, we'll, we'll take beers.

21:22

Um So. But yeah, we'll be out in the Indian app

21:24

as we get in on Thursday, We'll be there through

21:26

the weekend. So it should

21:28

be fun. But in the meantime, let's

21:31

at least talk about some of the guys that are going to be

21:33

there that we should be keeping an eye on. I just

21:35

did this. I did the top three uh A quarterback,

21:37

running back, wide receiver based on

21:40

Bucky Brooks's positional rankings. Now, if

21:42

there's another guy that that you guys want to talk about,

21:44

we can certainly throw them in there. UM

21:46

quarterback the top three Dwayne Haskins,

21:49

Kyler Murray, Drew Lock. Now,

21:51

the question remains, will

21:53

any of these guys end up throwing. That's

21:55

always a big questions whether or not these guys throw at

21:57

the combine. I thought Haskins was expect

22:00

to the throw. I believe so, and

22:02

and Murray, I don't know that he's going undecided,

22:05

but I don't know. It's one of those things like what do they gain,

22:07

Like they don't gain anything from doing it, and there's a

22:09

ton of attention and camera and really,

22:12

I mean it can only be back be

22:14

bad. I mean, there's just really not much they can gain from

22:16

throwing at the combine. And Haskins

22:19

is projected to be the first quarterback to come off

22:21

the board. Um, A lot of people have him go into

22:23

the New York Football Giants there, and

22:25

he was ridiculous last season seventy

22:27

percent completions over

22:30

passing yards, fifty touchdowns, and eight picks.

22:33

Not a guy who runs with ball very much

22:35

at one point four, which is

22:38

totally different than Kyler Murray, who

22:40

runs number funs of ton So from

22:42

a fantasy perspective, Murray probably is going to be the more

22:44

attractive guy, at least in

22:47

terms of immediate gratification statistically,

22:49

but Haskins likely to be the first quarterback

22:51

come off the board, which you know, you talk

22:53

about him being projected to the Giants, right, and

22:57

I mean, I guess it fits. But he is obviously

22:59

going to have to sit because they still have this

23:01

Eli Manning infatuation there. So

23:03

he's gonna be behind, which I don't look. I

23:06

know there's another eternal debate about whether or that guy

23:08

should play right away or sit. You know. I feel

23:10

like it's never a bad thing to just kind of watch somebody

23:12

else do things and kind of figure it out before

23:14

you jump in. UM. Drew

23:16

lock is not a name we've talked about

23:18

a ton that we've heard a lot about, But this

23:21

is a guy who during his time in Missouri

23:23

threw the ball a ton um

23:26

last year not as great, just

23:28

twenty eight touchdowns he had forty four the year

23:30

before that as a junior. But this is a guy who

23:32

can stand back there, uh six four,

23:35

kind of a big guy, more of your prototypical

23:37

sort of quarterback that I'm surprised hasn't

23:40

gotten more attention, and maybe he will

23:42

as we go through this process, because I feel like like

23:45

so far, Haskins and Murray have kind of sucked

23:47

all the oxygen the room. I think that's what it is. It's

23:49

just that the media and that the headlines

23:51

have kind of captivated around Murray just because he is

23:53

I mean, such a weird rare prospect

23:55

where he had to literally choose another professional

23:58

sport over another. UM Yeah, just

24:00

think Mary's kind of got all the headlines. I'm really

24:02

excited to see if Murray runs. Yeah,

24:05

is he's supposed to run. I believe he's going to. This

24:07

is always kind of one of those mishmash things. It's kind

24:09

of weird and murky, like when no one ever knows

24:12

until like a couple of days before. Another

24:14

thing to keep an eye on with Murray

24:16

is, uh, hand yeah,

24:19

hand sized Twitter, this

24:21

is your time, your time there there.

24:24

There's been a lot of talk about not only you

24:26

know, his height or lack thereof, um

24:29

and for the short people out there, I hope

24:31

he goes out there, but but um,

24:33

there's also talk about, you know, his hands not

24:35

being very big. So that'll be another

24:38

interesting note that comes from

24:40

the Combine. And you mentioned Drew lock

24:43

So I don't know if this is good or bad,

24:46

but apparently John Elway loves him

24:48

and John Elway is not the best in

24:51

terms of assessing

24:55

quarterback talent as an executive.

24:57

John Elway must go to the Combine, right, he must

24:59

just take out the his tape measure out of his pocket.

25:01

And as long as you're over six four, you're

25:04

good. You're good. I'm just kidding.

25:06

It's funny because it's like the

25:08

the the joke was always whoever had the best

25:10

forty time at the at the Combine

25:12

was gonna be drafted by the Raiders.

25:14

Now the new, the

25:16

new joke has got to be if you're a quarterback and you're six

25:18

four taller, you're probably gonna be looked

25:20

at by by John Elway. So but

25:23

I mean they've got what the tenth overall pick, so I

25:25

mean they could be in the mix there, I

25:27

mean, will be available there. Yeah, right,

25:30

I do, I do. I do think though that

25:32

we'll see Murray and Haskins for sure, like

25:34

once all this dost settles in the combined settles

25:36

whatever, we'll see Murray and Haskin's

25:39

good. Top ten. But I am curious to see what

25:41

other other quarterbacks can sort of make a name

25:43

for themselves. If it's Drew lock, uh, Daniel

25:45

Jones, got Duke will Greer who got

25:47

a lot of hype at a West Virginia.

25:50

So I'm curious to see if those guys, maybe somebody

25:53

else jumps out over the next few days

25:55

in Indianapolis. Running back. Oh

25:58

now we're talking Marcus all right, here you go, O, We're

26:00

talking. So Josh Jacobs, who was the headline

26:02

name, now has a groin injury, so he's

26:05

not going to be a full participant. So I don't

26:07

expect we're gonna see him, right, I can't. I

26:09

can't hear groin injury

26:11

without thinking of Cheers, Ryan.

26:14

You know, remember Sam Malone. See millennials

26:16

go out to Netflix and watch Cheers.

26:18

It's literally one of the three or four best shows

26:21

of all time. And Sam Malone, who tried

26:23

to become a sportscaster after

26:25

his days of being a bad picture for the

26:27

Boston Red Sox, was doing analysis and singing

26:30

growing injury. I

26:33

don't know. Every time Bill sadel our

26:36

our pal he used to do stats for us

26:38

back in the day. Right now he's now he's in uh in

26:40

in Philly. Every time

26:42

we hear that, I know I'm going off the rous. Every time

26:44

we hear that, I think of Sam alone and that episode

26:47

of Cheers. Uh Femeral, go ahead,

26:49

I'm sorry, Mark exciting. Well, he's not. He's probably

26:51

gonna run. Yeah, it's got a growing

26:54

and he's not. He's gonna be a limited participant

26:56

here. I still think

26:58

he's the first running back off the board. I don't

27:00

know that that necessarily changes. It's

27:02

such an interesting equation right now because we're

27:05

i mean, Josh Jacobs only has three under touches and now we're

27:07

gonna go off of eliminated combine sample

27:10

um three hundred career touches for for

27:12

for Josh Jacobs. Yeah, I mean split Cary's this past

27:14

season with Damien Harris there so into and

27:16

TWA. Basically it has just become I

27:19

mean right now a

27:21

in Alabama running back. It's just it's like it

27:24

really is a revolving door, right I mean, we've gone through

27:26

so many of these guys. Derek Ennery,

27:30

mark ingram Kenyan, Dre I mean,

27:32

we've just gone through so many of these guys, and

27:34

so it looks like Josh Jacobs

27:36

Damien Harris are the next two up.

27:38

Devin's Singletary is another name. How

27:40

to keep an eye on Bryce Love, who I

27:43

think, had he not suffered an injury during

27:45

the season, might have been

27:47

a little bit higher on this list. And

27:49

I think, you know, you talk about a guy who comes in maybe

27:51

with a little something to prove at the combine, a

27:54

guy like Bryce Love. I mean, I

27:56

don't know if he's if he's going to how much he's gonna participate

27:59

or what have you. But uh, he's the guy who could

28:01

potentially help himself out. So I

28:03

think he's one to kind of keep an eye and one

28:06

thing we're looking at. I mean, a lot of these kids

28:08

that are coming out of college are are

28:10

those those you know, they're very

28:12

they're very three dimensional. They can run with it, they can

28:14

catch with it, and they can pass block and catching

28:17

the football now is more important than it's ever been

28:19

from a fantasy perspective at the running back position.

28:22

So uh, Josh Jacobs had twenty

28:24

catches again limited time this

28:26

past season because he split touches

28:28

with Damien Harris. Uh. Devin Singletary

28:31

didn't catch a lot of passes last season.

28:34

Um, he's got fifty one total in three years

28:36

at Florida Atlantic, and um he's

28:38

a guy who's also uh reportedly

28:41

a very willing pass protector. Uh, maybe

28:43

needs to improve in that. But he's a guy that

28:45

I think people if he ends up in the right spot,

28:48

and that's what we always talk about. Like you remember a

28:50

few seasons ago it didn't really work out, but Bishop Sanky

28:52

ended up going to Titans. That was a

28:54

perfect situation for a running back

28:56

to go out and thrive. He didn't do it, obviously,

28:59

but that's what we're all looking at. We're looking at running

29:02

backs who are going to land in situations where

29:04

they're going to have the opportunity to be the guy

29:06

right away. Always go back to Steven Jackson in

29:08

his first season with the St. Louis Rams Marshall

29:11

Falk was still there, didn't really put up start

29:13

putting up his big numbers until season two.

29:15

So as important

29:18

as the combine can be two running

29:20

backs, uh, from an NFL perspective,

29:23

really, what we want to know is where

29:25

these guys going to land and what the competition is going

29:27

to be on the teams that that that they're going to be drafted

29:30

on SOPs now in the San Diego Fleets,

29:32

is that where he is now? And you know what, wait,

29:36

I don't even Graham. I don't even think he

29:38

is. I don't think he's rostered

29:41

in in my fantasy football league. So

29:44

no, I don't think he plays. And you know Hackenburg,

29:46

Hackenburg got got Benja

29:49

for Mettenburger. Wow.

29:52

So Hackenburg got for Hackenburg

29:54

for Mettenburger. Wow. Yeah.

29:57

By the way, Trent Richardson is killing

29:59

it for my fantasy football team in

30:01

Double AF. Other interesting note, I don't know how much

30:04

we'll talk abou him, but the Evander Holyfield kid

30:06

is going to be at the combine. I'm

30:08

really really excited running back from Georgia. Elijah

30:10

holy Field, who actually had a pretty good year, was over a

30:12

thousand yards. Uh, you know, he took over after

30:14

your Sonny Michelle and the Chubb left. I think

30:16

he'll end up being He'll

30:18

be a sleeper. I think for a lot a lot of people

30:20

coming into this, and I think he's gonna blow up the combine because

30:23

he's a freaking yeah he is. He's definitely athletic

30:25

for I mean, you know, it obviously runs in the family,

30:28

the athleticism. But the Elijah holy Field

30:30

actually ran into a Vander once in Atlanta. He

30:32

still looks like he could kick somebody. That sounds like it

30:34

must have hurt. Yeah,

30:37

he looks like he could still, dude.

30:39

I haven't remember watching some of those fights and

30:41

him and Tyson Titan biting his ear and

30:44

they had some battles that. Yeah, yeah,

30:46

I remember where I was to night I heard about the the

30:48

Tyson bite. So that was

30:50

that was kind of crazy wide receivers

30:53

and Graham, you you alluded to it. It's

30:55

there isn't necessarily one

30:58

huge standout star at

31:00

wide receiver, but a lot of guys who can

31:02

come in and be contributed right

31:04

away top of the list. Since we spent

31:06

all these weeks talking about Antonio Brown,

31:09

his cousin, Marquis Hollywood

31:11

Brown from the University of Oklahoma,

31:14

h is Bucky Brooks's number one

31:16

wide receiver. I was joking with some

31:19

friends that it's gonna be really awkward

31:21

when Antonio Brown forces his way out

31:23

of Pittsburgh and the Steelers turn around and draft

31:25

his cousin at

31:27

the wide receiver position. That that but

31:29

he now he's not participating

31:32

at the combine right because he's coming off a list Frank injury.

31:34

Let's surgery and jan He's got list Frank injury,

31:37

and that's obviously huge for an explosive

31:39

player like him. Brown needs his speed to

31:41

get deep and we I guess now

31:43

we're kind of in limbo. We gotta hope that the comparisons

31:45

I've seen have been Deshaun Jackson. He's

31:47

a Deshaun Jackson type who who

31:49

has speed and can take the top off,

31:53

he's not. Yeah, but he I mean, obviously

31:55

the contested catch thing will be a big problem for THO,

31:58

but he's lightning liking

32:00

fast. DK Metcalf another

32:02

guy who's gotten some some attention,

32:04

mostly because of the fast is all,

32:07

but also the photo that surfaced

32:09

of him and a bunch of other receivers working out

32:12

a bunch of guys. You know, obviously no

32:14

shirts showing off with you know, uh

32:16

but we don't have But man,

32:18

I mean literally, he looked like he looked

32:21

like a he Man action figure. Like he

32:23

looked and insane.

32:25

I always think of David Boston when I think

32:28

of wide receivers who are like all Jack the

32:30

heck David.

32:32

David Boston had had a couple of good seasons in the

32:34

NFL, but then I mean, he just balked up

32:36

like he Man. He had a little bit of a special sauce.

32:42

So so Daniel Jeremiah Um suggests

32:45

that Metcalf has a similar bill playing style

32:47

to Josh Gordon. And Josh Gordon we

32:49

all know, Um, I've seen that besides

32:52

the off the off the field stuff, super ridiculously

32:54

talents. He's he's

32:57

DJ's eleventh overall player for

32:59

the twenty nine draft class. So uh.

33:01

And the third guy is

33:04

Mikil Harry from Arizona State

33:06

who has He is physically

33:10

maybe one of the imposing wide

33:12

receiver six four about two fifteen.

33:14

I mean, he's got that kind of big, tall,

33:17

strong build that scouts

33:21

literally just drool over. So I had

33:23

an outstanding season in the Pac twelve

33:25

for what that's worth. Um, he's

33:27

like a he's like a raw prospect

33:30

who's got a lot to prove though, I mean, like maybe

33:33

comparable to like remember Dorial Green Beckham,

33:35

Like dude had all the size in the world and all the talent

33:37

in the world. But yeah, I've just had a lot to prove and he

33:39

never he never panned out. Yeah,

33:42

I would hope he's better than Yes, you would

33:45

think I'm talking about a big

33:47

dude with but with a lot of upside.

33:49

There's a lot of upside, a lot of ability

33:52

that the sun devils used him in any number

33:54

of different ways. This receiver class is really fun.

33:56

I've been kind of surprised to see people down

33:59

on it a little bit, Like, I mean, we just

34:01

have barely scratched the surface here. But there's

34:03

a lot of really different types of players

34:05

here. They do a lot of different things. It's kind of a different flavor

34:07

for any type of receiver you want in this classes. I

34:09

think it's I think it's a good one. I think that's and I think that's

34:11

the big takeaway early is that whatever

34:13

you're looking for wide receiver, it's there.

34:16

You will find it somewhere in this class.

34:18

So that's that's something to keep an eye on. So we'll

34:20

be out there. We'll be taking a look at these guys. We

34:22

will hopefully talk to some scouts, maybe

34:25

get you know, our friend, our friend Bucky Brooks.

34:27

I think our pals Matt Money Smith and Maurice

34:30

Jones Drew will be there. Maybe we can get their take on some

34:32

of these things. So we'll be hanging in and around

34:34

Indianapolis, trying not to freeze.

34:36

I was looking at the weather reports and not

34:39

excited excited.

34:41

I meant to text you about that over I was

34:43

like, dude, you're you're gonna be freezing excited.

34:46

Uh. So, there's there's small

34:48

chances of snow, so I don't think we'll see much

34:50

snow, but it will be cold. Some of those handwarmers markets.

34:52

Yeah, I think I saw the the

34:54

high for any given day we were there was maybe

34:57

like thirty eight. No oh wait, no, it'll

34:59

be forty it'll be forty three. So

35:02

yeah, buddy, it's gonna be great.

35:05

So that'll be that'll be a lot of fun. Um

35:07

before we wrap up. Of course,

35:10

you know, if we talk about the combine, there will be guys

35:12

as Fabs mentioned that, you know, we'll

35:14

have great combines that people will get excited

35:17

about, and you know they

35:19

may not do much in the league. So along

35:22

that line, I really want to, just like, you

35:24

know, just for fun, talk about

35:26

guys in any sport, uh,

35:29

that you thought would be

35:32

big time. Something happened maybe in their college

35:34

careers or their rookie seasons

35:36

that you thought this guy is going to be the next

35:38

big thing, uh, and then it just never

35:41

ever happened. So I

35:43

don't we go around horn Graham if you have a

35:45

guy that you thought would be big they just never really

35:47

caught on. Mm hmm. I

35:51

think, man,

35:54

I guess it really might be mad Jones though,

35:56

because he really is a freak of an athlete. Like it's

35:59

funny brought him up. Um, while

36:01

you're wearing a Jaguars, while

36:03

I'm wearing a jacket by the way. Um

36:05

Scott Barris shout out Scott Barrett Pro

36:08

Football Focus Barrett, he loves Matt Jones.

36:10

He has like a like a weird obsession

36:12

with him. But anyway, he really was like a

36:15

like an athletic freaking. I mean, I'm kind of surprised.

36:17

Obviously it's a cocaine and drinking probably doesn't

36:19

help, but yeah, yeah, he was

36:22

an athletic freaking that's

36:24

kind of stuck. We didn't get see a full, full career

36:26

out of him. Yeah. Uh so

36:29

I got a bunch like per sport like so so

36:32

so like I started off with, like basketball, I mean,

36:34

bo Jackson's got to be up there too, that's the one.

36:37

Yeah, but man that hurts. Yeah,

36:39

but I want I wanted to go chalk, but

36:41

I didn't. Um so so

36:43

for hoops, I was thinking Greg

36:46

odin Um and then Kwalmie Brown,

36:48

who was basically like he's the poster child

36:50

for why Michael Jordan's shouldn't make personnel moves,

36:52

and um that that could certainly

36:55

be the fate of John Elway if he picks another

36:57

quarterback who busts um in the

36:59

NFL. Um Ryan

37:02

Leaf who if you remember that

37:04

that draft, it was Peyton

37:07

or leaf One guy soared

37:09

the Heights, Super Bowl Championships, going

37:11

to the Hall of Fame, Brock call kinds of records. Ryan

37:14

Leafs just sucked. I

37:16

mean he was terrible. Yeah,

37:19

he was ridiculous. Um. So

37:21

we talked about Trent Richardson earlier first

37:24

season with the Browns, very

37:26

productive. I thought when

37:28

he went to the Colts, much much like

37:30

most analysts out there, that this was going to be

37:32

a new Triplets and he was going to put up big numbers

37:34

and in his career sort of tank Budd.

37:37

He's killing it for the Birmingham Iron right

37:39

now and on my fantasy

37:41

team baseball. I'll always

37:43

remember Brian Taylor because I'm a Yankees

37:46

die hard. Okay,

37:48

Yes, Brian Taylor was supposed to be like

37:51

the next Great Picture at

37:53

the time. The Yankees gave him all kinds of money to

37:55

come and play for the team, and just

37:59

he is flamed out. I mean never

38:02

never was was a factor at

38:04

all. And then of course, because

38:07

I'm me and I love w W E and

38:09

Roman Reins came back last night and uh and

38:12

told everyone that he was back from leukemia.

38:14

It's remission. So God bless Joe

38:17

and good luck um

38:19

Lex Luger, Lex Luger,

38:21

who now if you look at him, you wouldn't even yes. So

38:23

Lex Luger was supposed to be the next Hule

38:26

Cogan, right, and w W

38:28

brought him in and he was like a narcissist at one point,

38:30

and that character kind of sucked. And then they really

38:32

got all behind him and he had like the whole

38:35

USA thing and he was, you know,

38:37

fighting Yoko Zuno and that kind of stuff, and they had him

38:39

in a big giant remember the big bus they had,

38:41

like the the whole Lugar bus. And

38:44

Lucer never really panned out in

38:46

w W E despite the big push and

38:49

despite all the talent that he had. So

38:51

that's my list, and of course I had to get wrestling

38:54

in there. So wrestling in

38:56

a Yankee and a guy who played for the Cowboys,

38:58

Ryan Leaks forget that much on

39:00

par Yeah exactly, I'll

39:02

tell you every thing though there was. Ryan Leaf was

39:05

was part of a stretch. And I get crap all the time because

39:07

I'm a Cowboys fan. I'm a Yankee fan. I don't care. I'm

39:09

It's America. I could do what all I want. But the

39:11

the the Cowboys had a stretch where the

39:13

quarterbacks were awful, Like

39:15

we had Drew Hanson who also played for the Yankees

39:18

and sucked. We had uh, Chad

39:20

Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Ryan

39:23

Leaf. So don't give me that Cowboys fans

39:25

don't suffer, because trust me, we've been suffering

39:27

plenty over the last twenty five years. I think the best thing

39:29

I ever heard about Quincy Carter in the NFL was that

39:31

somebody's like he couldn't drive a Toyota eighty yards

39:33

literally. Well, you know what

39:36

Bill Parcelves got, you know, got of a ten wins

39:38

one year, but I mean he was second round

39:41

picked out. Um So I

39:43

had a couple one the first when I when

39:45

I thought about the first guy that came to mind, and this was

39:47

this goes back to my childhood. There's a guy at

39:50

you and l V playing basketball

39:52

named and number

39:55

twelve, right was the number twelve when I was a kid.

39:58

When I was a kid, You and LV basketball was the

40:00

greatest thing I had ever seen, not just the greatest

40:02

sport, like literally the greatest thing. I mean

40:04

I was eleven, twelve years old, and

40:07

you know I had never seen I've never seen

40:09

a team like especially college team turn off the lights and

40:11

shoot fireworks when they introduced their starting

40:13

five, and they had tarkas or coach, and he sat on

40:15

the on the bench and he chewed a towel, and they

40:17

had Larry Johnson and Stacy. He

40:19

had a guy named George Ackles who didn't block shots. He

40:21

caught them. He literally caught. I watched some catch

40:23

shots out of the air. And they had Anderson

40:26

Hunt, who just was wing player, who

40:28

was an incredible three point shooter who I thought,

40:30

really I was just poised

40:32

to be huge at the next level. Never

40:35

made it to the NBA, and like nowadays in the NBA where

40:37

everybody shoots like, you know, fifty three is a game,

40:39

like he really might he might have had a spot

40:41

in this in the league nowadays. Never

40:43

made it in the NBA. And that was the thing that always

40:46

just kind of bloom me away because I thought, for all

40:48

the talent they had on those teams, I thought he would

40:50

be one of the guys to make it there, and he never.

40:52

Really Those those are Larry Johnson,

40:54

those are fun teams to watch. Man the Duke at

40:56

U n l V Rivalry. Uh, those

40:59

are so great Um. The other guy that

41:01

I I had in mind, UM who

41:04

had a decent career, but not what I thought

41:06

it would be. UM Rocco bal Delli,

41:08

who was now the now he's

41:11

now the manager of the Minnesota Twins. And this is a guy

41:13

I you know, some of you guys know. I spent a couple of years

41:15

calling minor league baseball games on the radio,

41:17

and I saw Roco

41:19

ball Delli play in single

41:22

a ball in Baker's Field

41:24

for half a season and he destroyed

41:27

that league. In fact, he was on the same team

41:30

with Josh Hamilton, who at the time, everybody knew

41:32

Josh Hamilton. Everybody knew Josh

41:34

Hamilton was going to be a star. He was, you know, supposed

41:37

to be the big, huge thing. Uh. Rocoball

41:39

Delly was better than him. And I watched

41:41

him playing like this guy is going to destroy major

41:44

League Baseball when he came up, uh, and

41:46

he was. He didn't. I don't think he was Rookie

41:48

of the Year, but he was close in the voting. Uh.

41:51

And then injuries just kind of took a toll and he was just

41:53

never the same guy. But Rocoball Delly

41:55

was such a beast. I took an interest in him because

41:57

number one, he's at Pison, He's Italian, and

42:00

a lot of people compared to him, like they said

42:02

that he was the next Joe di maggio.

42:05

All thin guy with power, with speed

42:07

and could play great. I mean he literally was a five

42:09

tool player and just just a slew

42:11

of injury he just kind of robbed him of

42:14

any of his real potential. Um And

42:16

now he's the Minnesota Twins manager. So

42:18

party you want to get in, Yeah, you got anything? Yea. I

42:20

got a couple that stood out to me, one being Peter

42:22

Warwick. This was

42:25

a two time All American. The Sugar

42:27

Bowl MVP set the school record at Florida

42:29

State with thirty two touchdowns, which

42:31

looking at the talent says a lot. And then he

42:34

was the fourth overall pick going to the Bengals

42:36

and that was the last we heard of him. All. Uh,

42:39

he was a guy that stood out to me. Also, there's Tim couch

42:41

Um, Tommy Frasier, Tommy

42:44

Fraser Umber fifteen from Nebraska

42:46

right just the legendary place. He

42:48

had a Charlie Ward we kind of know, yeah,

42:51

every award possible, and then was a first

42:53

round pick for the Knicks. Yeah, he ever

42:55

never played the It's funny because while he was playing

42:57

I remember the joke was while he was playing point guard

42:59

for the Nicks, people said he was still the best quarterback in the New

43:02

York. Yeah, Charlote

43:04

would really a bus though, because I mean he did go

43:07

on to play. I mean he played multiple stort sports

43:09

at the highest Like, that's a good

43:11

question. I would saying n evil, maybe

43:13

a football because he's

43:15

never Yeah, he's in the backcourt with Alan

43:17

Houston and what Chris Child's for years

43:20

solid backcourt. Um, a couple other guys

43:22

that throw out their rocket ismail oh

43:25

man. Uh. Then we switched to a

43:27

local guy for him. Not too many people know, but

43:29

he was a U c l. A product Geron Rush

43:31

and Bassett. Remember Rush I grew up

43:35

and Kareem Rush had They were brothers there at U c l.

43:37

A. Kareem went to Missouri, That's right.

43:39

He had a younger brother, Brandon,

43:41

who won a title at Kansas. So the

43:43

whole but Jeron growing up, Um used

43:45

to go against his A U team. The guy was unbelievable

43:48

dunking in eighth grade. I mean it was it was wild.

43:50

And then the final guy to throw out. This is

43:52

for you know, my soccer fans. We haven't brought him

43:54

up yet, But how about America's

43:57

greatest player of all time? Freddie? Do? You

44:01

guys said that simultaneously, so I

44:03

just knew where you were going with. Damn,

44:05

what did happen if Freddy? You do? He bounced

44:08

around Europe for a little bit, played in some of the lower leagues,

44:10

right, you mean he didn't go on to become the greatest

44:13

United States player of all time? No, but I do

44:15

remember the hype with Freddy A Do I remember that

44:17

too? Man? I have not like fourteen years. He was

44:19

really young, right, he was. He was going to make soccer

44:22

the number one sport in America all by himself?

44:24

Is what was going to happen? How did that go? Not

44:26

so well? Not so well?

44:29

So hopefully that doesn't befall

44:31

any of the guys that we see coming up this week at the Combine,

44:34

although you know, history says it's unfortunately

44:36

will so that'll be interesting to

44:38

watch. That's it, We are done.

44:40

We are out of appreciate your downloading and
