out what's going on? Everybody. Welcome

0:13

to the NFL Fantasy

0:15

Live Podcast. I'm Michael Fabriano,

0:17

joined alongside Graham Barfield.

0:20

And every time I see Graham so jealous

0:22

of that hair, I'm sorry. This

0:24

kid's got phenomenal hair. Eddie, you actually

0:27

have great hair to Eddie Murphy behind

0:29

the glass. So I'm just here being

0:31

jealous of everybody's cool hair. We

0:33

went with the Yankee had today, So I know, dude,

0:35

I mean podcast, I'm lazy, dude. I'm

0:37

just I'm not. I'm not gonna a miracle

0:40

grow get some miracle growers popping on your head.

0:42

Kind of feel like that'll just be the end of any hair that I

0:44

have if I tried to do that. Um. First

0:46

off, I want to congratulate Marcus Grant,

0:48

who is now a proud papa

0:51

Quentin Alexander Grant. That kid is destined

0:53

to be a president with that name. Fantastic name,

0:56

fantastic strong name. So Marcus, we're

0:58

thinking of you. God bless, very

1:00

happy for you. Hopefully we'll be seeing you back

1:02

here very soon. Big show

1:04

today, we're gonna have giants tight end

1:06

Evan Ingraham come on and talk

1:09

about the Odell Beckham

1:11

Junior trade, Fantasy football, amongst

1:13

other topics that should be fun. But

1:16

let's start off with today's headlines.

1:31

I'm not gonna say I saw this coming, Graham, but I

1:33

saw this coming. Jordan Howard traded

1:35

to the Philadelphia Eagles, and what a

1:37

lot of people think was a steal. This

1:40

guy, over the last couple of seasons is

1:42

third in rushing yards and he got traded

1:44

for a sixth round pick that could

1:46

be a fifth round pick. Absolute

1:49

steel for the Eagles. What are

1:51

your thoughts on this trade? Once again, Howard Roseman

1:53

pulls off another fantastic

1:55

trade where he trades a basically a

1:57

low percentage chance of his

2:00

pick hitting an established veteran.

2:02

He does it every year. He does it every year. Look, I

2:04

mean, Jordan Award was great. His rookie

2:06

season average five point two yards per

2:08

carry I think was second in the NFL and rushing

2:10

that you're behind Zeke. But since then he's kind

2:12

of leveled off thirty six and yards

2:15

after contact of fifty three and miss

2:17

tackles forced over the last years. Amongst

2:19

sixty qualified running backs, Howard

2:21

is what he is. Look, He's not a pass catching running

2:23

back. He's probably not gonna play very many

2:25

snaps for the Eagles. They will continue to rotate

2:28

their running backs and Howard will play, you know, his snaps,

2:31

but on those snaps, he's going to get the rock.

2:33

Um, how do we how do we feel about

2:35

I mean, my initial my initial

2:37

reader is he's like a high end RB three

2:39

there for for the Eagles. I think we've been wanting

2:42

to shoehorn in a good running back with

2:44

the Eagles for a long time and it's just not happening.

2:46

It's going to be a committee to a point because

2:48

you're he doesn't catch the ball out of the backfield. You know, Corey

2:50

Clement is clearly still going to be in the mix there, window

2:52

small Wood still in the mixer as well. I

2:55

have Jordan Howard at seven at running

2:57

back right now, so that's that's a

2:59

flex starter. That's a flex starter. The

3:01

good news is early down work, goal

3:03

line work, he will be the favorite for both of those

3:06

uh in Philadelphia. So this is a good

3:08

move for his fantasy value because the Bears did acquire

3:10

Mike Davis, who also sees an

3:13

uptick in value now too, because he will take on

3:15

the quote Jordan's Howard role

3:17

in Chicago. Bears could still take a running back,

3:19

but they only have four picks in the upcoming

3:21

draft, and I think the earliest one is at eighty six

3:23

overall, So technically, yeah, they could still take

3:25

a shot on the third round running back there. But um

3:28

yeah, it's might. It's kind of looking like

3:30

it might be Mike Davis injury, co and go, And

3:33

clearly no brainer. Cohen is the

3:35

better of the two from a fantasy perspective. He's going to

3:37

be a a high end flex starter

3:40

or a low end RB two, which

3:42

actually is sort of a downgrade from the numbers he

3:44

actually put up last season because he was a top fifteen

3:47

running back in PPR leagues. Moving on, sticking

3:49

with the running back theme, Isaiah Crow,

3:51

Well, this is such a Raiders

3:53

move. Signs with the Raiders. I

3:55

kind of I kind of thought this was was gonna

3:58

happen as well. He was

4:00

out there arguably the best free agent

4:02

running back out there. We don't know what's going on with Marshawn

4:05

Lynch. Doug Martin is a free agent, so he'll

4:07

come in and you would think

4:10

lead a committee situation, although I don't

4:12

know that this precludes the Raiders from taking

4:14

someone like Josh Jacobs in the draft. Right now,

4:16

crow L would be the favorite. I have

4:18

him as an RB four RB five type

4:20

in that offense. Predicting what

4:22

the Raiders are going to do has been UM

4:25

I think hard to say the least. I

4:27

have no idea if they're done it running back. Um.

4:30

I guess they could roll into the year with with Crowell

4:32

and Jalen Richard's the one two punch. That doesn't

4:34

sound too bad. But again, the Raiders have three first

4:36

round picks. We have no idea what they're gonna

4:38

Jacobs and you know, I get it. You know, the running

4:41

back class is not super strong, but there are

4:43

some guys out there that you know, maybe you

4:45

wait a couple of rounds and we're going to talk about some of

4:47

these guys too. Uh, you know, like a Darrell Henderson

4:49

from Memphis who's explosive. Maybe the Raiders

4:52

go in that direction. I don't know if they're gonna take a

4:54

first round pick. M J. D are pal Maurice

4:56

Jones Drew has the Raiders taking Jacobs in the

4:58

first round in his latest mock draft.

5:00

So we'll see. But right now, crow L a

5:02

late run flyer. My pal. C J. Anderson

5:05

lands with the Detroit Lions, and I think

5:07

this is a good move because c J is

5:09

now going to fill that La Garrett Blunt role in

5:12

quotes um and carry

5:14

On Johnson is still going to be the lead dog there.

5:16

I don't know that this move hurts his value

5:18

all that much. They were gonna bring someone else in c

5:21

J, a veteran who can clearly still

5:23

be a productive player. We saw that last year

5:26

at the end of the season with the Los Angeles Rams.

5:28

So CJ is gonna be a late round pick. I don't

5:30

think it really hurts Carryon's value. But

5:32

now what do the Rams do because

5:35

you you match the offer Detroit

5:37

from Malcolm Brown. Uh.

5:40

There are so many mock draft folks

5:43

out there that have the Rams taken a running back at

5:45

the end of the first round. M j D actually has

5:47

them taking Damien Harris out of Alabama.

5:49

Peter Schreeger had him taken Miles Sanders out

5:51

of Penn State. I don't know. We'll see what

5:54

happens. The Rams have to do something at running back,

5:56

it appears it won't be c J. Anderson.

5:59

I I think a little bit more

6:01

hesitant to say this does not hurt carry

6:03

On Johnson, you are, um. The

6:05

Lions over the last five years have basically been one

6:07

of the lowest volume rushing teams in the NFL.

6:10

They've been bottomed twelve and rush attempts

6:12

per game in that span. Their twenty

6:14

nine and red rush attempts over the

6:16

last five years too. This has just not been

6:18

a conducive environment for fantasy points

6:20

for their running backs. Now you add C. J.

6:23

Anderson, who look, I mean he had a career

6:25

resurgence. I'm not necessarily buying he's going to go out

6:27

and rush for it, but really

6:29

good rushing offensive line. Mean, so

6:31

now it's it's a huge down grade.

6:33

Sean McVeigh to Darryl bevel is, Um,

6:36

it's monumental. It's a monumental

6:38

scheme change. They'll give him his

6:40

touches. But again, like now, carry On Johnson

6:42

has got to compete for goal on work with Anderson. Your

6:45

riddic is gonna be involved in passing downs. See,

6:47

I had carry On as like an RB two, RB three,

6:49

and I'm not really going to move him. I will not be drafting

6:51

carry On Johnson is here. You go, Okay,

6:54

big words from Grant. I probably will not because

6:56

he's gonna be a J's out of his mix. He's gonna

6:58

probably be one of those guys that gets pushed in the fifth,

7:00

sixth round due to hype. And that's just not somebody

7:03

well that's typically like to invest in

7:05

fantasy, right, you don't want to overdraft a guy who

7:07

could be potentially losing touches

7:09

to to a veteran back that been side of the

7:11

off season. Next up, Duke Johnson

7:14

wants to trade. Uh okay,

7:16

yeah, we saw this coming. I

7:18

can tell you, uh, from

7:21

from a source that I have, who's

7:23

Who's Who's a damn good source that,

7:25

um, Duke Johnson is going to be gone,

7:28

whether it's before the draft or during the draft.

7:31

And um, this is potentially

7:34

a situation here where Duke just doesn't

7:36

fit in with what Freddie Kitchens

7:38

wants to do in this offense.

7:40

And we saw that last season because when Kitchens

7:42

came in, you know, Duke wasn't much of a of

7:44

an option. It was basically all Nick Chubb, You've

7:47

got Cream Hunt in the mix there, So uh,

7:49

put you on the spot here, Graham. A couple of good landing

7:51

spots for Duke Johnson, assuming he is going to

7:53

be traded, and I would be shocked if he's not. I

7:56

would say the Eagles, but obviously they just flipped

7:58

flipped a late round pick for Howard Man.

8:01

How about so I've heard the Cowboys.

8:04

That doesn't make anything. I've heard the Cowboys, which is odd because

8:06

Zeke just had seventy seven catches. I was kind of

8:08

it seems odd to me. I was kind of thinking the Chargers

8:11

because I mean, Melvin Gordon's coming off a huge year

8:13

where he is. I mean, he's their workhorse, but

8:15

I mean they need another

8:17

kind of pass catching back. I mean Austin

8:19

Nechlor is a good little player. But for more

8:21

depth there with the Chargers, honestly, Oakland

8:26

again I just said, I mean Oakland, you never know what they're

8:28

gonna do. Of course they're in the next The thing

8:30

is is like Duke Johnson is not going to fetch

8:32

much more than like a fifth or six round pick. So whatever

8:34

team that does require him, it's going to be for a low

8:36

cost. In hell, I mean, Jordan Howard

8:39

for a six that could be a

8:41

fifth. What are you what are you gonna get for Duke Johnson?

8:43

The differences is obviously Duke Johnson can play

8:45

on passing down to Jordan Howard cannot. That's

8:47

a huge difference, and I think sharp teams know that.

8:50

Um yeah, It'll be interesting to see where he goes.

8:53

I think. More to the point, though, Duke is gone

8:55

week one, we get Nick Chubb like for

8:57

eight games with basically no competition

9:00

touches. Uh yeah, sign me

9:02

up for that. Yeah, and then we'll

9:04

all have to We'll see about being

9:07

concerned once Cream hunt is uh

9:10

is on his way back from that eight game suspension.

9:12

A final bit of news and other running back

9:15

news, uh Jay Gruden

9:18

quote, it's a great dilemma to

9:20

have Adrian Peterson and Darius guys, maybe for

9:22

you, not for us, dude, Okay, Like, so,

9:25

so you know Darius is a good buddy of mine and

9:27

that the rehabs going great, and he's

9:29

really excited that they retained Peterson

9:32

because they've become really good friends. They've worked out in the off

9:34

season together. Like to me, I mean,

9:36

Darius is still the running back to own in Washington,

9:38

and I feel like Peterson and he rushed

9:40

for a thousand yards last season, you know, I

9:43

get it. He was wicked and consistent, but he did

9:45

rush for a thousand yards last season. Is still a really good

9:47

guy with in terms of yards after contact as well.

9:50

Guys, is still the player that I want off of

9:52

that off of that roster. But I

9:54

can see how fantasy owners

9:56

maybe are a little less excited about them with Peterson

9:58

back and uh and guaranteed

10:01

to see at least some of that workload. Again, this

10:03

is the same kind of situation. Yeah, same

10:05

situation we just talked about with the lines. Let's not forget

10:07

about Chris Thompson too, when he's helped. Yes, he's going

10:09

to play passing snaps now Chris Thompson, I

10:12

mean, boy, if he can ever keep it together in

10:14

terms of his health because he is a very

10:16

good pass catcher, very good pass catcher. Geist.

10:18

Look, he's only he's the only twenty one years old, which

10:20

is crazy to me. This is not a good running rookie

10:23

running back class. The Redskins are done it at

10:25

running back again. This is

10:27

just gonna be a trio. Where where do we

10:29

project? Guys too, is he is

10:31

he going to get fifteen eighteen touches per game

10:33

on the ground, Because if he is, then he'll be a fine RB two.

10:35

But again, if Thompson's involved in the passing

10:38

game. If they're gonna keep Peterson on the field a few

10:40

snaps per game. It's just it's

10:43

one of those things where you just you love the player, you want

10:45

to be invested in it. But again, it's just

10:47

it could be a car to find the opportunity, could be a

10:49

good BILO player in dynasty leagues. But I will tell you

10:51

this, the Redskins are gonna have to run the ball a lot because

10:54

right now they're gonna try there. I

10:56

mean, I mean, what what is that? What is their

10:58

their offense at this point in terms of hals attack.

11:00

I mean, you're looking at Josh Doson,

11:03

You're looking at Richardson. They will draft

11:05

Amison Crowders with able draft a receiver. They

11:07

I mean, they certainly have to. They have

11:09

to. So they didn't do anything in

11:11

free agency. Now that's because honestly,

11:14

there wasn't much to do and free to see. I mean, there's

11:16

a lot of guaranteed money thrown around, and they have a lot of

11:18

guaranteed money rolled up in Alex

11:20

Smith's contract unfortunately. But yeah, I

11:22

would be shocked if Washington did not take

11:24

a receiver. Bottom line, here's the Redskins are gonna likely

11:27

not be a very good team, and they

11:29

haven't been a very good and

11:32

um, they're gonna have to lean on the run, uh,

11:35

which is which is good news for Darius guys. But

11:37

the bad news is that a committee situation looks

11:39

like it's pretty inevitable. They're in

11:41

our nation's capital, and that was the news.

11:57

Let's stick with the running back theme of the show

12:00

year before we get Evan Ingraman to uh

12:02

to talk about the Giants and the

12:05

two thousand and nineteen season. Now,

12:07

the draft is is coming up. I mean it's

12:09

the first week of April, dude. I mean it's like flying

12:12

by here as it does every

12:14

single year. And the

12:16

running back position has been very

12:18

fruitful over the last few years. When

12:21

it comes to the NFL Draft, We've seen

12:23

some stars emerge immediately,

12:26

like Zeke Elliott, like Sae Kwon Barkley.

12:28

I mean, it's a long list over the last

12:30

four or five years. This year's class

12:33

is not as talented, let's put it that

12:35

way. It's not as deep, but there are some guys that I feel

12:37

like we should talk about, and one of them

12:39

is Josh Jacobs, who I have already mentioned, and

12:41

he is the consensus best

12:44

running back in the two thousand and nineteen class,

12:46

and there were some people out

12:48

there, In fact, there were a lot of people out there who

12:50

projected him the Philadelphia Eagles in the first

12:52

round. Now that's not going to happen because of the Jordan

12:54

Howard trade. Uh. Best

12:56

fantasy fit for me would be the Raiders. As I mentioned,

13:00

do you like Josh Jacobs to go? I kind of like the

13:02

Bucks. Um Bucks too. Yeah, the Bucks

13:04

are going, But the thing is they're not going to take him in the

13:06

first round, of course, So I don't

13:08

know if he goes in the first round though, um,

13:11

I kind of I have this theory, like back in February

13:13

the combine, I don't know if we'll see a running back in the

13:15

first round. I again, I don't know if we'll

13:17

see a running back go in the first Like Jacobs

13:20

is the only one that that will that will

13:23

make that list. I've been kind of shoehorning

13:25

him in for the Bucks for a while now, just

13:27

because Ronald Jones. I mean, I was not a Ronald

13:29

Jones fan coming out. I'm still not a Ronald Joones

13:31

fan. Peyton Barber is Peyton barber

13:34

Um. He would immediately go in and give them

13:36

even more juice. I mean, that's that's just what the Bucks

13:38

need, right is another super like fun

13:40

like past getting. I mean that to me, that's

13:43

the best fantasy fits from a

13:45

reality perspective. I don't

13:47

know that he'll last into the second round, but it

13:49

could happen. It could happen. It could happen. And if

13:52

that does happen and he does land in Tampa

13:54

Bay, I mean you're looking at an RB two right

13:56

out of the gate from a fantasy perspective, not an RB

13:58

one, but clearly would

14:00

be the favorite to be the order in Tampa Bay for Bruce Arians

14:02

if he does last intil like late

14:05

first round. Are there any teams in the

14:07

back half of that first round area that would obviously

14:10

drafting in the back half of the first round the better teams?

14:12

There any teams that you think that back there

14:14

could potentially the Raiders

14:17

like that. I mean, that's that's the first one that comes to mind as

14:19

the Raiders because they have a need there.

14:21

Isaiah Crowell is not a long term fit

14:24

for that team. We don't know what's going on with Marshawn

14:26

Lynch, Jalen Richard is a pass catching

14:28

running back. He's not a guy that you can lean on it as a

14:30

as a featured back. So that

14:33

I've again, I've seen it a million times

14:35

and I still don't buy it. But there are a lot of people

14:37

out there that are projecting a running back to go to the Rams

14:39

at the end of the first round as well. I don't

14:42

see it. Maybe it's just the fantasy football analyst

14:44

in me that doesn't want that, But I

14:47

would say the Raiders at the end of the first round will be a

14:49

good fit for Jacobs. But if he does

14:51

last and in the second round and the Buccaneers have a chance

14:53

to get him, that, my friends, would

14:56

be a tremendous fit. David Montgomery

14:58

is another player that NASY fans

15:00

need to keep tabs on. This is a guy out of Ioway

15:02

State who rushed for over twelve yards

15:04

and thirteen touchdowns, also had twenty two catches

15:07

our lands zerline comparison to Kareem Hunt,

15:10

and I would love to see him

15:12

go to the Buffalo Bills second or third round

15:14

pick. Why because Leshawn McCoy and

15:16

Frank or A combined sixty seven

15:18

years old that's all Daddie

15:21

fest me for a running back. Well maybe not Frank Are, but still,

15:24

these dudes are up there. David Montgomery

15:26

has got the tools to be at three down back in the NFL.

15:29

And you put him in Buffalo Dynasty

15:31

League Jem Starter

15:34

uh and a guy who you put in there with

15:37

with Josh Allen. Add some pieces

15:39

at wide receiver, which they've done this offseason, and suddenly

15:41

Montgomery could end up being very interesting

15:44

from a fantasy perspective. Maybe not twenty nineteen,

15:47

but moving forward at that Lance, I

15:49

love Lance, but man, that is an aggressive comp

15:52

is that is a little a little too rich for my blood. Um

15:55

Bills would be a good fit. But again, I mean knowing

15:57

what the Bills are gonna do at the running back position is kind

16:00

than a bizarre I know. But this is

16:02

a this is all pie in the sky fantasy

16:04

football. This is me hoping and praying these things

16:06

happen because I was from a fantasy perspective,

16:08

they'd make a lot of sense. I was kind of thinking the Texans

16:11

for for uh yeah see okay,

16:13

uh And the Texans are another team that and

16:16

we could talk about that too. They're they're

16:18

certainly in the market. They lost Alford Blue, which

16:20

they lost Alford Blue. UH, downta

16:23

foreman coming off in Achilles. You never know what's gonna

16:25

happen with a player coming off of such a serious

16:27

injury. Lamar Miller is still there and we'll be

16:29

the featured back in twenty nineteen,

16:31

at least we project that. But yeah,

16:34

the Texans are a team that could be in technis

16:36

for running back. Texans could also be in the mix for

16:38

Josh Jacobs if we do think he goes in that back half

16:40

the first round to pick twenty three, and then I think they

16:43

have two back to back second round picks

16:45

like in the fifty area. UH,

16:47

Texans could definitely be on the move. This is this

16:49

is Lamar Miller's final year of his deal too,

16:51

so he will be understricted free. I think the Texans

16:53

need help in the defensive backfield first

16:56

well, and so I think what the Texans are

16:58

gonna be looking to do is

17:00

steal a guy like Darrell Henderson for they

17:03

need offensive line help, but pretty much also pretty

17:05

much every team in the NFL needs offensive another

17:08

player. Damian Harris, who split carries

17:10

at Alabama last season with Josh Jacobs,

17:13

a player who hey, I mean, listen,

17:15

He's not Levian Bell, but he's a player

17:17

who did catch uh twenty passes

17:20

twenty two passes last season out of the

17:22

backfield, average six yards per carry,

17:24

nine touchdowns on the ground. And

17:26

if the Buccaneers don't

17:29

get Jacobs, I think this could be a good fit for

17:31

them in the second or third round. Um.

17:33

Yeah, I haven't really dug

17:35

in too much on Damon Herrin Harris yet. I have not

17:37

gotten to his yards created yet. But one of my favorite

17:40

fits that I have right now that this is total

17:42

pine. This guy actually have too. I want to see Darrell

17:44

Darrell Henderson go to the Eagles. They've got to

17:46

have a explosive They've

17:48

been wanting to have an explosive pass catching

17:50

running back for quite some time. They try to make it

17:52

happen with Darren Sprawls. Um,

17:55

he had a fantastic career, but he's at the end of

17:57

the line. Coret Clement's kind of been inconsistent.

18:00

Are I would love to see Darrell Henderson go to the Eagles,

18:02

and my my my favorite one right now, and this probably

18:04

won't happen just because I've mentioned at the top of the show

18:06

the Bears don't have a lot of draft equity.

18:09

They have the seven overall pick that is actually

18:11

their first pick in the draft. But I

18:13

really want to see Miles Sanders there. I

18:15

really really want to see Miles Sanders there.

18:17

The Bears are you just want to throw a wrench

18:19

into our Mike Davis, hen Teriko

18:22

and backfield. The Bears are freaking

18:24

loaded. I mean, their defense is basically

18:26

signed through um.

18:29

Their offensive line is set. Mitchell Drew Biski is

18:31

on a rookie contract. Really, there are

18:33

not many holes on this on this team. I

18:35

mean, I genuinely think the Bears have a top three

18:37

or four roster in the NFL. They

18:39

could, they could. They have three,

18:41

you know, three picks, third, fourth, fifth round, they

18:44

could draft a running back and I would I would

18:46

hope, keeping my fingers crossed its

18:48

Miles Sanders. Yeah, Sanders out of

18:51

Penn State, who had to

18:53

follow in the footsteps of heck

18:56

the best, the best running back to come out of the

18:58

league, well since i Ezekiel Elliott.

19:01

But he's coming off the best

19:03

rookie season any running back has ever had

19:06

from a fantasy perspective. So uh

19:08

that that went through and see I'm

19:10

I'm just I'm selfish, dude. I don't

19:13

want I don't want teams that have good running

19:15

backs. Add more running backs just give me a headache.

19:17

Well, I don't want it. I mean, if we've seen look,

19:19

I like, I'm not drafting. I like treat Cohen as

19:22

a receiver, but as a rusher, Um,

19:24

he's questionable. And Mike Davis is a

19:26

you know, career three point seven yards per carry

19:28

guy. I mean, he was a fantastic in Seattle last year. But

19:30

they ran the ball very very well in

19:33

Seattle regardless of who was back there, Carson

19:35

Penny or Davis. Um,

19:37

I'm not totally sold that Mike Davis is this

19:40

new player. And I think Miles Sanders a

19:42

good fitch. Jacksonville could be a landing spot for

19:44

Sanders as well because they need backfield

19:46

help. T J. Yelden as a free agent, and Alfred

19:49

Blue clearly is what Benny Cunningham's

19:51

not doing it for you. They signed Benny Cunningham

19:53

too. Benny Cunningham got passing

19:55

down snap. This is this is why I'm saying

19:57

that Miles Sanders is an option

19:59

for the j Uguards because Alfred Blew Jenny

20:02

Cunningham. Jeff Fisher gave

20:04

Bennie Cunningham passing down snaps over

20:06

Todd Gurley in two thousand fifteen. Don't

20:09

hate on Benny Cunningham. Jeff Fisher like him.

20:11

He gotta be. He's gotta be some reason messing

20:15

with you, Jeff Fisher, Jack the Jackson definitely

20:17

could go after a working running

20:19

back or not not early, of course, I mean they have

20:22

a sunk significant sound costing for new But

20:24

Jeff and he said, gotta be thinking about

20:26

Jeff Fisher. Jeff Fisher when

20:29

he was the coach of the Rams, he turned

20:31

chicken salad into chicken. Yeah,

20:35

and then McVeigh you know, righted

20:37

the ship there. So uh, anybody else

20:40

that you have. This is just such at the running

20:42

back position that fans should be keeping an

20:44

eye on. Yeah, please, how about this one? Bryce

20:47

Love? I know, like, heck,

20:50

what a year or so ago, this guy was

20:52

the hottest thing in college football at the

20:54

running back position. And now you don't you're

20:56

not hearing much of his numbers dropped

20:58

off to a senior. He stayed and that's what killed

21:00

him. If he came as a junior, he would have been a very

21:02

high picks. Theyver senior year, his numbers

21:05

dropped the need you know, towards a c L. Obviously,

21:07

a c ls aren't what they used to be. But people

21:09

are forgetting about him. I mean he I mean, if

21:11

you watch College tripble, this guy Weekend with

21:13

goal was one of the best players in all

21:16

the country. For what it's worth that I have not forgotten about

21:18

him. Do you haven't? Yeah? I like Bryce

21:20

Love quite a bit, but he's just a total wild card

21:22

in this class. I don't know where his health is at. Um.

21:25

The final year efficiency drop off definitely

21:28

is a little bit scary too. Um Again,

21:30

haven't dug too deep into him, but yeah,

21:32

he's the total wild card in this class. I'm gonna be really

21:34

interested to see where he goes because he ends up being

21:36

like a maybe a late third or early

21:39

fourth round pick. I'm gonna be very

21:41

excited for that. That would obviously mean his medicals

21:43

are all square. Right, it's just a true c L terror

21:45

will be fine. So the issue

21:48

is that not only is

21:50

the talent level not as as good as it's

21:52

been at the running back position over the last

21:54

several years, but there ain't a lot of jobs out

21:56

there. You know and one team that doesn't

21:58

need a running back, and I think Love could

22:00

be a fit there. Uh maybe Devin Singletary

22:03

out of Florida Atlantic the Vikings. I

22:06

mean Dalvin Cook and I love him, and if

22:08

this guy could stay healthy, he's a top ten fantasy running

22:10

back and it ain't even even a question. But

22:13

he's played with fifteen sixteen games in two

22:15

years. And the Vikings lost Latavius murrayed

22:17

in New Orleans. So if

22:19

they could get a Singletary, if they could get a Love, all of a sudden,

22:22

these guys are potentially elite

22:24

handcuffs coming out his rookies.

22:26

The Vikings are running back tip shot behind Dalvin Cook

22:28

is currently Mike Boone and Amer Abdullah.

22:31

This is what I'm saying. Yes, they

22:33

need a running back, and they could get a damn good one

22:36

people second, third, fourth

22:38

round. I mean, they could get a damn good one man, and

22:41

and Love could be that guy could be Singletary

22:43

who comes in and backs up Cook. Because if you

22:45

have Dalvin Cook and he's going to cost you second

22:47

or third round pick, you have

22:49

to you have to invest in

22:52

his handcuff, assuming that that player is

22:55

a worthwhile running back, and one

22:57

of these guys is clearly a worthwhile handcuff

23:00

if they go to Minnesota along the along the same

23:02

lines as Chicago Bears. The Vikings

23:04

depth start is still very stacked. Their offensive

23:06

line is. I mean, we just mentioned every offensive

23:08

line in the NFL basically needs hope. Um.

23:11

But yeah, there are another team that could definitely in

23:13

the second third round kind of surprise us and get a formidable

23:16

depth running back because they don't really have any

23:18

right now. So that's the focus on the

23:20

running backs here in the twenty nineteen class, and Graham

23:23

and I and Marks will be talking about the quarterbacks, wide

23:25

receivers, tight ends moving forward

23:27

as we inch closer and closer to

23:30

go into Nashville for the twenty nineteen

23:32

NFL Draft. All right, guys, we've got a special

23:34

treat for you giants tight end

23:37

Evan Angram on the program

23:39

with us even how are you, pal? I'm doing

23:41

well. Thank you for having me. Yeah, man, uh,

23:43

we love having you on. And uh, big

23:46

big expectations for you in

23:49

I'm sure you have them for yourself and fantasy fans

23:52

also are looking for a big season

23:54

from you. Uh. And part of the reason

23:56

is well Odell Beckham Jr. Is no longer

23:59

with Big Blue. When you heard the news

24:02

that oh b J Was getting traded to Cleveland,

24:04

what was your first reaction. Um,

24:07

I was I wasn't want to say I was

24:10

shocked, UM or surprised.

24:12

I was just UM was just it

24:15

was just kind of just a curve ball of nowhere.

24:17

It was just like a normal day. And UM,

24:19

I know there was a lot of rumors going around, but honestly

24:22

didn't think it was gonna happen. UM. But

24:24

when I got the news and UM saw

24:27

that it was for real, UM, it was just it

24:29

was just kind of it kind of came out of nowhere.

24:32

UM. And obviously you hate

24:34

to lose. I'm a good teammate. UM that

24:36

he's been UM, and I hate to see I

24:38

hated to see it. UM. But also I'm

24:41

still I'm still a New York Giant, So I

24:43

had to kind of um just had to kind of get

24:46

my head righting and kind of up my training a

24:48

little bit because I know what kind of the opportunity

24:50

it brings. Right. You mentioned the opportunity

24:52

evan Um. Over the last couple of years that the Giants

24:55

have basically asked you to run kind of as a receiver,

24:57

you play a little b as a receiver, you run you know

25:00

about of your routes from the slot. What

25:02

kind of mismatches do you see um

25:05

on the field mainly as a kind

25:07

of a slot move tight end. And now that Odell

25:10

Beckham has gone, Um, are the Giants

25:12

gonna ask you to change your role at all? Are you still gonna

25:14

be playing out of the slot more? How's that gonna work?

25:17

Um? I mean we

25:19

still have to see we report in

25:22

a couple of weeks and UM, and I

25:24

know I know our our our coaches are, I'm

25:26

already planning. UM. And we had we

25:29

had a we had a solid little formula last

25:31

year on when Odell was out towards

25:33

the end of the year. UM, and just kind of putting

25:35

guys in different in different places and in

25:37

finding ways to get Sa Kuana um si

25:40

Quan in space and get him going on on

25:43

the ground. So I'm

25:45

I'm excited honestly to get back in to see

25:47

what they're thinking and kind of get the ball rolling.

25:50

But UM, I've always been a guy that's

25:52

want to do whatever I'm masked and uh, if

25:54

they asked me to kind of um to

25:57

be to work on some more receiver stuff

25:59

and and on to work on that. Then

26:01

I'm gonna do it to my best ability. Yeah,

26:03

and you mentioned, uh, you know how the Giants had

26:06

to alter things when O b

26:08

J went down, uh with the injuries,

26:11

and you saw

26:13

your numbers rise exponentially,

26:16

uh eight point eight fantasy points per game

26:18

in the first thirteen weeks with O b J.

26:21

Sixteen point two points per game without

26:24

Odell Beckham Jr. That number, that

26:27

number's got me excited. I can tell you that right now,

26:29

Evan, because you are certainly

26:31

moving up at the tight end position, and people

26:34

people forget, I mean like fantasy football

26:36

owners, like we're very fickle. We're like, what have you done

26:38

for me lately? You know, but people forget

26:41

you had one of the greatest rookie seasons

26:44

of any tight end ever. Okay,

26:46

And I did a little research for you so you can

26:48

have some fun with this. Okay. This is

26:50

all time, Okay, And we're talking about PPR

26:53

scoring points per game rookie

26:55

tight ends. Number one Mike

26:57

Ditka in nineteen six one. You

26:59

want to see the numbers he put up. It was ridiculous.

27:02

Number two. Keith Jackson, number

27:04

three, Charlie Young, number four another

27:06

giant, Jeremy Shockley, and number five

27:09

Evan Ingraham. So, Evan, you had

27:11

the fifth best rookie season

27:14

of any tight end in the National Football

27:17

League ever. Ever,

27:19

that's pretty good company, right there. Man, those

27:21

are some big common names. Yeah, those are those

27:24

are those are legends and my books. Um so that

27:27

is that is pretty cool. Yeah, But I said

27:30

it was just kind of came in doing with all that and

27:33

had some injuries and just kind of had to step up.

27:35

And I really think that, as you mentioned,

27:37

you know, the opportunities are going to be there. Uh

27:40

In an offense that's gonna change. You know. Obviously

27:42

you bring in a Golden Tate, he's running about seventy of

27:44

his routes out of the slot. He's a big yards after

27:46

the catch guy. Uh So the offense is going

27:48

to change and and and we all expect you to

27:51

be a big part of it. Um. You

27:53

were on the Dave Damna Check Football program

27:56

yesterday. Dave is a good friend of ours here

27:58

uh NFL Fantasy Live, and uh

28:01

Eddie had mentioned that you're interested in playing

28:04

fantasy football and that that kind

28:06

of piqued my attention. So so you've never played

28:08

before, but you're totally down

28:10

to play in this season. No,

28:12

I actually have played before you through

28:16

high school and college. My buddy's back home

28:18

has always had the league UM and

28:20

uh, and we would always get in that um

28:23

and so. But since I got in the league, I was just

28:26

it was just kind of it was the idea of it was just kind

28:28

of weird because I know how competitive

28:30

I am, and as as as competitive

28:33

as I am on a football fielder and trying to get

28:35

to win. Like I know, if I have

28:37

like a Keynon Island on the other side of

28:39

the ball and he's he's going off

28:41

from me, I know it's going to be in the back of my head from

28:44

my fantasy team. So I

28:47

felt weird about being in that situation, but

28:50

just kind of I think I think I could kind of get over

28:52

that this year and just kind of just have fun with it. So

28:54

Evan, you you basically are saying, if

28:56

you are playing the Cowboys, let's say and Zeke is going

28:59

on for a yard from scrimmage, you kind of and

29:01

he's on your team, you you don't really want to be rooting

29:03

for the ze in the back here, had I can understand that.

29:06

Yeah, and that's that was a kind of sticky situation

29:08

that I was kind of in. But I think if I do do it

29:10

this year, I'm going to stay away from our from our

29:12

NFC problem. You'll

29:14

be biased, biased against the NFC. Yeah,

29:17

yeah, I think I'm going to stay away from those guys. Anybody

29:19

else would be okay. Yeah, And I think I have an opportunity

29:22

for you. So we'll talk about that off the year. But

29:24

um, yeah, man, it would be fun to get Evan

29:26

and and some of the active players

29:29

uh involved in fantasy football. There are a lot

29:31

of active players who do play fantasy football.

29:34

My pal Damerius Randall from the Cleveland

29:36

Browns, I'm trying to get him in. He's starting to get

29:38

sort of into it as well. So and fantasy

29:40

football is I mean, there are there

29:42

are negatives, but there are far more positives and it's

29:45

great for the players as well. So, um, I

29:47

want to I want to see now now if Evan's

29:49

got the first overall pick. I mean, you stake a sa

29:52

que. Are you taking yourself? Yeah,

29:55

I'm taking I'm taking myself. I

29:59

told Dave yesterday that my my

30:01

guys that did have the fantasy league.

30:04

Um that was that was mess with me all the time and

30:06

told me every time I got traded or moves.

30:10

So I don't want to go through that again. I'm

30:12

just gonna take myself and play. But

30:14

your friends are trading you, why they're

30:16

not great friends? Then that's

30:19

great love to take

30:21

shots at me. It's

30:23

so funny. So like Chris Cooley, who obviously

30:26

remember you're really good titan for the Washington

30:28

Redskins, really good fantasy player, and he was

30:30

a big time fantasy dude. He told

30:32

me a story where he

30:34

played against the Cowboys and I'm a Cowboys

30:36

fan. Not sure if you knew that, And if you don't want to talk to me

30:39

anymore, that's fine, um, But he

30:44

played against the Cowboys and scored three

30:46

touchdowns against them in the game, right, and

30:48

his friend had Chris

30:50

on his fantasy team and beat Chris.

30:53

So Chris Cooley three touchdowns beat

30:55

pretty much, yes, beat his fantasy football exactly.

30:59

And then there's others stories too, were like Matt

31:01

Hasselbeck, who's a big fantasy football

31:03

guy, had had himself and Brett

31:05

Farve, I think, and he decided to play himself over

31:08

far and it ended up working out for him. So this

31:10

is great though. That's the the I think that

31:13

that me taking myself first, take overall.

31:15

I was gonna just solve all that because it's

31:17

gonna it's gonna help me, it's gonna help my team, uh,

31:21

beat my competition. And I don't have to worry

31:23

about catching three four touchdowns

31:25

and probably playoffs or something. And

31:27

you don't have to worry about trading yourself. I would assume you

31:29

probably won't trade yourself your own team.

31:32

Yeah. M j D used to do that all the time.

31:35

Don't matter if he had the first round pick, he was picking

31:37

himself. It didn't matter. It didn't matter. So we

31:39

also heard from from from Dave

31:42

that you are a Game of Thrones fan. Um,

31:46

how so, so have you watched every

31:48

season up till now or do you have to catch

31:50

up? Yeah? I've watched every season.

31:53

I do need a refresher. I'm gonna I'm gonna

31:55

start on I think I'm just gonna rewatch

31:57

the last season, Um, just to kind

31:59

of get to kind of get refreshed. I kind of been

32:01

on YouTube watching recap videos to

32:04

get to get my mom right. But I'm excited

32:06

for this new season. Yeah, dude, I mean, I

32:09

just can't wait. You got any predictions, like what's gonna happen?

32:11

What do you think is gonna happen. I'm

32:15

just I'm just ready to see this, this this bottle

32:17

of the dragons, because the whole seeing

32:20

the seeing the White walk with dragons through

32:22

me all of

32:24

this peters. So I'm really excited to see the dragons

32:27

go ahead. Yeah, man, me too. I'm thinking

32:29

they gotta turn the dragon that

32:32

is now the you know, with the white Walkers,

32:34

they gotta turn them back somehow. There's a possibility

32:37

that happens. They gotta figure it out and see

32:39

that. I like that take. I mean, like if

32:41

Melissandra can bring dudes back from the dead,

32:44

they could flip a good dragon

32:46

through an evil dragon back to a good dragon. Here. Now,

32:49

I did see something crazy about baby

32:52

hold or becoming a like coming

32:54

back as a white walk as a White walk Eddie.

32:58

We didn't think about that that would be that would be kind

33:00

of because I would thought that would be a huge curveball,

33:02

that was that would throw a lot of people off. Yeah,

33:05

so so what happens. That was one of

33:07

the craziest parts of the show to me. That whole Yeah,

33:11

that whole Door episode was probably one of the most

33:13

like gut wrenching episodes that they've done. And they've

33:15

done some amazing episodes, but I'm with you on that one.

33:18

That that's that's an interesting take there. You know what

33:20

happens if you know if John Snow has got to come up

33:22

against the White Walker hold or oh my gosh,

33:25

wow. Well, hey man, we appreciate

33:27

you taking a few minutes out of your day, Uh talk

33:29

a little fantasy football with us. I'm

33:32

excited. Listen, I'm getting I'm givin in

33:34

a fantasy football league. I'm tony. You're gonna be playing

33:36

in a fantasy football league in twenty nineteen.

33:38

I can promise you right now it's gonna happen. I'm

33:40

gonna make sure it happens. Okay, I'm

33:43

ready, man, I'm ready. Just uh, let's let's do

33:45

it. We will do it.

33:47

And uh. We wish you the best of luck, keep

33:49

in touch. Uh, and you're certainly going to be

33:52

one of the one of the more

33:54

highly drafted tight ends once we get around

33:56

to our fantasy football drafts coming up this

33:59

summer. Good luck by friend, and thanks

34:01

for your time. Thank you so much. Have

34:03

a good day, hey man. Great

34:05

stuff from Evan Ingram. I'm

34:08

a big fan of him going into twenty nine, and I think he's

34:10

gonna end up being easily a

34:12

top ten Fantasy tight end. So let's

34:15

move on here to our final thoughts. Okay, and this

34:17

could be anything, could be pop culture, it could be football,

34:20

whatever is on your mind. And

34:22

what's on my mind right now is

34:26

so this Dumbo movie came out right, Okay,

34:28

and you're thinking, I gotta bring my kids to this movie Dumbo,

34:31

Disney, It's gotta be great. This

34:34

was one of the most depressing movies I've ever seen

34:36

in my life. And I only saw it because,

34:38

you know, matt Matthew, and we had a playday with

34:40

one of his friends and all the parents went. We went

34:42

and saw this Dumbo. This

34:45

movie, dude, I was

34:47

almost crying. My girlfriend is sitting

34:49

their eyes are well en up. Our friends. It

34:51

was so depressing, Like like

34:54

Matthew was like, you

34:56

come out of the movie thinking, you know what human beings

34:58

are a holes. It's not even about

35:01

I don't want to ruin it if you haven't seen it yet, but

35:04

it was depressing. Man, it's supposed to be for kids.

35:07

The kids. Stuff was supposed to be uplifting, it's supposed to

35:09

be fun. This

35:12

one here made me like, I'm

35:14

like, I am just I'm just

35:16

disgusted to be a human being right now. I

35:18

did see the previews a bit um and

35:21

I was I went to I forgot what movie was in my room,

35:23

and he was like, man, this is Disney. It looks super

35:25

dark. Just first, yeah, well, I mean it's Tim Burton,

35:27

so like, but yeah, so

35:30

if you haven't went to go see Dumbo with

35:32

your kids and you're on the fence about

35:34

it, watch like, you

35:37

know, rerecord Ralph or something like that instead.

35:39

I don't know, like it was just I

35:41

don't know. I wasn't. I just because that one, I think

35:43

it's probably gonna be out on on digital. It swims

35:45

down from fab. It

35:47

was because it's like the kids were just depressing.

35:50

It's a woke kids movie. That's what you're trying to say.

35:52

It was depressing, That's what I'm trying to say. I

35:55

just wasn't. I don't know, man, I wasn't into it. I can't

35:57

get my mind off of the New Joker

35:59

trail just came out this morning. I know,

36:02

Yeah, Eddie's shaking his head. Looks good, man, I'm not

36:04

gonna lie. It looks I'm kind of I'm kind

36:06

of back in. Everyone's tweet what I've been

36:08

reading is like, well, DC has let me down, but

36:10

I'm officially back in. I'm

36:13

gonna go see it. I mean, like d

36:15

C, d C lets everyone down every

36:17

time. Yeah. Actually, well, Wonder Woman was

36:19

good. But I think I think doing like a backstory

36:22

of the Joker, that's that's kind of

36:24

gets me interested. That brings me back because

36:26

that's a little more reginald. But he Ledgard did it

36:28

so well. Yeah, but I mean everyone

36:31

so he's like the one

36:33

of the few characters that you have no idea really

36:35

what his background is. So I think for us to

36:37

see that as like how it became that, I think it's pretty

36:40

cool. Well, in the original

36:42

Batman with Michael Keaton, we got a

36:44

little bit of the background where he was, you know,

36:46

he was a hit man, Jack Napier, that

36:49

kind of stuff, but we don't we don't go any further back then. Man.

36:51

Yeah, so I'm excited to see it.

36:53

I mean, I I thought I've seen the trailer. I saw

36:55

the trailer this morning and it looks. I mean, yeah,

36:57

it looks creepy. It still stark. Yeah, really

37:00

really cool. If DC can pull off a good that's

37:02

the thing about DC man. They can't pull off a good

37:04

like dark movie. You know, like if they would

37:06

have just made Suicide Squad an R rated movie,

37:08

probably would have been pretty start. Yeah, point

37:11

was kind of but every movie they've come out and

37:13

has kind of been dark. Like Wonder Woman wasn't dark, but

37:15

like the Batman movies were kind of dark. The Superman

37:17

movies are kind of dark sci fi ish. I

37:20

was not a big fan of Wonder Woman. I know that I

37:22

liked it. I mean, you know, Gilda,

37:25

I mean, how bad could it was? Right?

37:27

I mean in comparison to the rest of

37:29

the movies that are DC, it makes it look like that much better.

37:31

That's actually fair. That's actually relative to

37:33

the right. If you're great on a curve, if you're great

37:35

on a DC curve, was exactly,

37:38

Um, just stick in the movie topics. I did

37:40

just see Us by Jordan. It

37:43

was it good because like I'm thinking to go and see it

37:45

because everyone's like ghost go see it, but

37:48

you know, like it's I'll

37:50

try to do my rest of giving anything away. Um,

37:53

it's not well right out the bat, it's not as good as get

37:55

Out. And I think get Out had the kind the one

37:57

message and he conveyed it

37:59

in just a masterful way to

38:02

get Out. He I mean with us, he tried

38:04

to I think jam in a bunch of different metaphor

38:06

like making it like an allegory for stuff, and it gets

38:09

kind of confusing because

38:12

kind of like there's a couple of different twists

38:14

that might be unnecessary, if

38:16

that makes sense. And I'm not I don't want to give too much

38:18

away, but I left it saying, Okay, uh,

38:21

it's fine, it's a fine movie. Um

38:23

it was, I guess a decent number

38:26

two effort by him. But I

38:28

was not, like I was really excited to go in to see,

38:30

like how could he follow up get Out? And it looked

38:33

scarier than than get Out. It looked

38:36

to have like this like thrill like thriller

38:38

suspense kind of movie, and it was just kind of okay,

38:41

that's what it is, all right? Now, what are you more

38:43

excited to see endgame? Or I

38:47

mean I'm a huge game of throwing and

38:50

I think the final season will be incredible

38:52

and and the one difference is that one's a bunch

38:54

of episodes, you know, hour plus episodes in the first

38:57

End Games, I mean three hours now two minutes, and they

38:59

dropped a new trailer. Yeah

39:02

for Endgames, dude, they're Their

39:04

trailers have been amazing. My level of excitement,

39:06

I don't know, it's it's pretty

39:08

It's pretty close, man, with both of those, I'm

39:11

with you. And and to know that, like this could be the last

39:13

for Captain America, this could be the last for some other

39:16

heroes. I I mean, I Infinity

39:18

why I loved. I think fantast is like the greatest

39:21

villain I've ever really seen. So, I

39:23

mean, and I'm gonna be in Nashville for Draft,

39:25

So I have to find a movie theater down there to like to Oh

39:27

I'm sure they have them in Nashville. Yeah,

39:29

So I need to find that. I need to. You'll

39:32

be fine. You'll be fine. And I'm excited

39:34

for that Game of Thrones coming out, what right?

39:37

Yeah? And then the Master's Weekend.

39:39

That's gonna be a good weekend Masters Game

39:42

of Thrones, that's right. How about Ario is

39:44

pretty happy with themselves coming out this month that we

39:46

have very back v back Game of Thrones

39:49

doing it right. Yeah, Yeah, that's pretty

39:51

good man, that's pretty good. Yeah. I can't

39:53

wait for Game of Thrones though. Man. You know, I just got

39:55

back into um my pal,

39:57

Scott Gripe, who works here at NFL

39:59

Network. I was out on the

40:01

Walking Dead after Rick

40:04

was gone and then Maggie's like, you

40:06

know, she just disappeared

40:09

off the show. I don't, he said.

40:11

This season has been really good. I binge watched

40:14

the heck out of it. I haven't watched the finale

40:16

yet, but I watched the one before the finale, and

40:18

I don't know, if you watch Walking Dead, it was

40:20

freaking good man. The first two seasons of

40:22

really good. The first two seasons of Walking Dead

40:24

were fantastic. Third season was

40:27

shaky, and then everything else after that just

40:30

like so I kept up with it, and I there

40:32

was like they're they were definitely like you know, I

40:34

pulled a deck and I was

40:36

like, yeah, the middle of this, middle of this, I'm just but

40:39

and I don't know if you watch it, but like this season with

40:42

like the Whisperers, I have heard it's it's

40:44

a little bit. Actually it got

40:46

better. I think it's because they had to completely

40:49

redod and rethink the show because they kept

40:51

running into dead ends. They were running into dead ends in the fourth

40:53

season, and I was like, oh, yeah, they've still made three more

40:56

seasons after when I bailed, I was like, wow, but

40:58

yeah, I've heard the same thing. I've ACTU. We heard that this past

41:00

season has been pretty decent relative to the

41:03

last three or four. So hey, man, if you're not studying

41:05

uh draft or not looking at

41:08

creating your own fantasy football rankings, we got

41:10

some stuff out there for you to watch. I've thought

41:12

about that. I have certainly been during the

41:14

season. I have no time to watch TV or movie,

41:17

so one of us do. In February to July

41:19

is the prime time to catch

41:22

up. Yeah, no doubt about that. All right, guys,

41:24

Well, thanks for joining us, Thanks Evan Angraham

41:26

for coming in and chatting with us for a few

41:28

minutes. And guys, if you can check

41:31

out our podcast, rate review, love,

41:34

hey whatever, subscribe,

41:36

subscribe, do all that for you. Um,

41:39

have a great rest of your week and

41:42

we will see you next week. Yeah,

42:03

I don't go on
