It's night time with Dan Ray. I'm telling you Easy Boston's Radio. All
0:10
right, welcome back, everybody. My name is Dan Ray, and we
0:14
are moving right along here to our eleven o'clock hour, and this hour we're
0:22
going to change topics. And I must begin the hour by telling you that
0:29
we've had very little well, we've had no luck with the Robert Kennedy campaign,
0:34
the RFK Junior campaign. However, I cannot allow my frustrations with the
0:42
campaign to cloud my judgment professionally. And next Tuesday, Robert F. Kennedy
0:50
Jr. Says that he intends to name his running mate. Now there's no
1:00
convention, there will be a convention. Obviously, Donald Trump will name his
1:03
running mate, whoever that might be. I'm sure Joe Biden, assuming that
1:07
both of them they are the presumptive nominees, and assuming that there's no major
1:14
problem that were to develop in terms of health issues, they will each name
1:19
in their vice presidential running mate, and I'm sure it will be Kamala Harris.
1:26
I don't think Joe Biden is in a position where he can drop his
1:29
current vice president of four years, although he might like to. Kennedy,
1:34
on the other hand, has the ability to pretty much name anyone he wants.
1:38
We've all seen the various rumors. There have been rumors out there that
1:44
he might name the former governor of Minnesota, Jesse Ventura, a former professional
1:49
wrestler but also was elected governor of Minnesota. There's been some suggestions that he
1:55
might name Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the New York Jets. Rogers, of
2:01
course, was injured in the fourth play of last year, but he's rehabbed
2:06
and conceivably, we're told, could have played in late December or as the
2:10
Jets season wound down, but he should be ready to play next fall.
2:14
I don't see how you can be a quarterback for the New York Jets and
2:17
also be running for vice president, but who knows, and there are others.
2:23
And what I'd like to do is ask you about the Kennedy campaign.
2:30
Do you take it seriously? Number one? Number two? Are you interested
2:34
in who RFK Jr. Will name as his running mate? Do you want
2:38
to give us your guests? I mean, if there's anyone here who actually
2:45
guesses correctly a name that maybe none of us have thought of. I mean,
2:51
it would seem to me that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Needs to
2:53
name someone who has some glamor. I think I'm sure there are a thousand
3:01
people who would accept the nomination, particularly people who have worked within the Democratic
3:07
Party in the venues for the Democratic parties, just to say that they were
3:10
his running mate. I think he has to do better than just the former,
3:19
you know, get out the vote director in Montana for the Democratic Party.
3:23
You know, someone who we have never heard of. So I think
3:25
it will have to be someone who has some you know, some visibility,
3:31
some name recognition. It would be great if it was an elected official.
3:37
I mean if hypothetically he were to name there was a congressman from Minnesota,
3:42
Dean Phillips, that was running against Joe Biden. Now Phillips has said that
3:46
he supported Biden, but he needed to have a choice within the Democratic Party.
3:52
That was the genesis of his campaign. I don't think he would be
3:57
he would accept that nomination. There are others out there. I mean Mary
4:00
Ann Williamson who ran would Rob Robert F. Kennedy Junior picked Jill Stein,
4:06
a Green Party candidate of a couple of cycles. I think she's actually running
4:11
on her own. So I just want to open it up and see who
4:15
you would suggest. Would he be wise to pick a Republican? I mean,
4:18
how about this, and this will never happen. How about if Robert
4:23
F. Kennedy Jr. Was able to name and and that person would accept,
4:29
and that person would be Mike Pence, the former vice president of the
4:33
United States under President Trump. Think about that. He has a variety of
4:42
options here when you think about it. He could go in any direction he
4:48
wants. But this will be the defining moment of his campaign. If he
4:54
picked someone who is considered to be I don't know, you know, off
5:01
the general political reservation, I think that will hurt him. I'm trying to
5:09
think of someone who he might pick that would I think he has to find
5:15
someone who's a free spirit and a free thinker with some name recognition. I
5:19
mean Oprah Winfrey, for example. If you really want to think about possible
5:27
names, I'm just going to throw it out there and invite you to recommend
5:33
someone and we'll keep track of it. And if for some reason, I
5:38
mean, if you pick Aaron Rodgers, the Jets quarterback, or Jesse Ventura,
5:42
that's really not going to count because those are the names and there's some
5:45
speculation He's making then announcement in Oakland, California, near the University of California
5:49
at Berkeley, which is where Rogers played college football before he started his career
5:55
with the Packers. So there you have it. I'm just throwing it out
6:01
there. I know that my audience is a pretty sharp audience. Politically,
6:06
I'd love to have you described to me. Give me a description of what
6:12
you would like to see. Would you like to make sure it's a Republican
6:15
Would you might like to make sure that it's someone who is an elected official
6:18
already, who has the gravitas of an election, maybe at a congressional level
6:25
or a Senate level. I don't think there are too many senators in either
6:29
party, but who knows. I mean John Fetterman from Pennsylvania. He certainly
6:35
marches at the beat of a different drummer. Angus King from Maine. I
6:40
don't know if if there is a personal relationship that RFK Junior has with any
6:45
of these folks. So we're just going to open up the line six one, seven, two, five, four ten thirty six one seven, nine
6:50
three one ten thirty. Let's play a little political bingo here, and let's
6:55
see if we can come up with the name. Okay, we'll take a
6:58
quick break, coming right back here at Night's and I've got a couple of
7:01
lines open. I've got some callers waiting, but I want you to participate.
7:05
Let's have some fun coming back on Nightside Night Side with Dan Ray.
7:13
I'm Boston's news Radio. All right, let's go to the phone. It's
7:18
gonna go. Start off with Eugene. Eugene, who do you think Robert
7:21
F. Kennedy Junior should pick his his running mate? Or give us a
7:25
description of who that ideal candidate would be. Well, let me ask you.
7:31
First of all, are you anywhere near a mirror. I have a
7:38
mirror in the room. Yes, I do, But I would suggest look
7:44
at look it into that mirror. That's who I would suggest. Think about
7:48
it. Multiple years of experienced weekdays dealing with people across the country, various
7:58
subjects, and attorney experience. Also, Hey, if he picks you,
8:05
I'll vote for you. Wow, boy, I'll tell you that that's that
8:09
is an honor. That's an honor. I don't think I would be his
8:15
choice, but I think he has better choices. But Eugene, I'm absolutely
8:18
honored by your your your endorsement. But I think that that he will find
8:28
someone else in my opinion. In my opinion, I'll nominate you. How's
8:35
that okay? I will I will promote you to everyone, every lawyer.
8:43
Well, I appreciate that. I really do, I really really do.
8:48
Uh. I don't think we'll get a second here, a second to the
8:54
domination. Thank you so much. Okay, Oh, thank you, thank
9:01
You're welcome and we all right, we will talk again. Thanks, thank
9:07
you so much, talk soon, Okay, have a great have a great
9:11
night. Okay, thanks right bye bye, h Okay, Eugene, I
9:16
did not expect that one. Oh, let's go to Dan in New Hampshire.
9:22
Dan, you were next on nightside. Who do you think of Stan Well? First of all, you know, if you would talk to me
9:28
forty four years ago, back to the main Caucus, I would have told
9:33
you that he was going to be the one. He had everything, he
9:39
was smart, he was charming, he had the charisma, he he had
9:45
it all. And I remember saying at that time, he's going to be
9:48
the one. He's gonna he's gonna run probably for Congress in New York,
9:52
and then he's going to take his father's Senate seat in New York and probably
9:58
stay for at least one full term. And I really thought he was going
10:05
to be the one that would be president. But none of that ever happened.
10:11
And you know, it's really it's a joke right now. The only
10:16
thing that worries about me. I don't think he's going to take any votes
10:20
away from Trump. And I don't know Vice President Tom Brady, maybe Gronk.
10:26
Well that's a couple. I mean, you know, those are two
10:30
guys who have the time. I mean, I don't know what their politics
10:33
are. Belichick, come on, you can't go through the entire Patriot roster
10:39
here. Well, Larry Bird, you know it's I don't think any real
10:50
serious politician would excite like you mentioned Mike Pence. And I don't really think
10:58
Mike Pence would would want to run with Bobby Junior or anybody else. I
11:03
mean, no, I understand that, and I'm sure that that Pence would
11:07
think, hey, look, been there, done that. I'm not going
11:11
to you know, further complicate my you know, my history if you will.
11:18
I mean, obviously Mike Penn said he's not going to vote for Donald
11:22
Trump. This would be an ultimate way in which he could probably get back at Donald Trump, because I would think that that he would, you know,
11:28
Kennedy will will take some voters from Joe Biden. I think there are
11:31
Democratic voters out there who might say, hey, you know, go for
11:35
Bobby Kennedy. But I still think he's got to find somebody, hopefully someone
11:43
who maybe we haven't thought of, but someone who has. I'm I just
11:50
I'm trying to think who it would be. I'm trying to I got a
11:58
couple of in my mind. I'm going to put out there that that I
12:01
think are potentially dark horse candidates. Okay, okay, and I will I
12:11
will just I'm going to hold off. I want to see if anyone else
12:18
is thinking like me. Is what I'm trying to you know, possibly Mitt
12:22
or why would seriously, why would Mitt Romney when you think about it,
12:31
why would Mitt Romney even consider it? I mean, Mitt Romney's a United
12:35
States Senator. I think that that is retiring. He is retiring. You're
12:43
you're correct, but it would still to me, it would. I think
12:48
it's a little far off the reservation now maybe Okay, And again, I
12:52
don't I don't want to prejudice other people's minds here. Okay, maybe maybe
12:58
uh uh Liz Cheney would would have it in her soul to want to impact
13:07
uh the Trump adversely. Yeah, you know, because yes, exactly and
13:16
exactly for the reason you just said, so, I would not be surprised
13:20
if he does go with her. Well, I'm going to claim her as
13:24
one of my nominees potential. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that
13:28
somebody it makes sense, that's all. I'm not saying that I'm a fan
13:33
of or whatever. Just would make sense. But you know, it is
13:37
a way. She obviously does not want to see uh Trump again, and
13:45
this would be a way for her. Yeah, I could see her her
13:52
doing that. Okay, I'm going to give you one other name and then
13:56
I'm gonna then I'm going to shut up. Okay, Okay, I'm serious.
14:01
Okay, uh there is one that is that I think is possible and
14:09
and I think you might agree with me. Okay, I gave you Liz
14:13
Cheney as a Republican, a former congresswoman, and here is my Democrat.
14:20
If I had to I'm talking now, if if I'm going to prognosticate,
14:24
I think I know what you're going to say, but what do you think
14:26
I'm going to say, aoc no, no, no, no, no,
14:31
okay, no, I think she's too entrenched in the Democratic Party.
14:35
Yeah, here's one. You're right, you're right, all right, here's
14:39
one. And I think you're going to say, I wish I had thought
14:41
of that. Bettel O'Rourke, the former congressman from Texas who's a Democrat,
14:50
happens to be a pretty close admirer of the Kennedy family. As you know.
14:56
Rhan for Senate against Ted Cruz and lost. I don't think he has
15:01
much of a future in Texas politics because I think Texas is becoming more and
15:07
more a red state. But he's a younger guy, a bit of a
15:13
maverick. I don't think that's a bad If I had to, if I
15:18
had to put one up on the board that I was serious about, that
15:22
might be my choice. That might be my guess, is what I'm saying.
15:26
Yeah, once again, that makes sense to me too. Damn.
15:31
Yeah. All right, So we got too. I'm gonna I'm gonna you
15:35
get Cheney and I got o'rour So we'll see what happens. Okay, okay,
15:39
okay, Thanks Dan, in New Hampshire. Appreciate it very much.
15:43
Let's keep rolling here. Where are we gonna go next? With this is
15:46
kind of a game we're playing here, but I think it's fun. Lola
15:50
in Watertown normally from San Diego. Hi, Lola, how are you today?
15:54
I'm good. Dan. So here's my This woman as a Democrat and
16:02
her name is Nicole Shanahan. This was posted in the New York Post on
16:08
March sixteenth. RSK Junior to name wealthy attorney Nicole Shanahan is running mate and
16:17
pres rudge. Okay, so that's Hanahan. That's h A n A h
16:22
A N. I guess huh s aj oh Shanahan. I'm sorry, I
16:26
missed it. Okay, not Hannahan with it in front of it Shanahan Shanahan.
16:33
So they're describing her as California attorney, an entrepreneur. There there was.
16:41
This is the word that's out. That's going to be his running mate,
16:44
according to a report coming from Meditate Meditate reported Saturday. Does that med
16:52
Mediate? Is that mediator? Meditator? I think it's me, sorry Mediate,
16:56
It says the pair of line on numerous issues, including his commendation of
17:02
vaccines and she can help funnel money into Kennedy's long short bid and get him
17:08
on the ballot in all fifty states, Sources close to the campaign to the
17:12
outlet. So she was married to some or she is married to some rich
17:21
guy that's into Let me see if I can find the Google was once married
17:26
to Google co founder Sturdy Bread funded Kennedy's pricey Super Bowl campaign commercials. So
17:38
that's the funnel of money. Huh. And she's a woman, and she's
17:44
a Democrat, So that's why that's my tib. And I know somebody on
17:52
the West coast that is in his inner circle. Yeah. And I asked
17:57
her if she heard of She's says I know of her, but I haven't
18:02
met her, so she didn't deny it. I says, do you know
18:07
this woman? She says, I know of her. So that's my pick.
18:11
And I want to know if I get a round trip ticket to come
18:17
back. It's my gift when I win the contest. I think it's going
18:23
to be more likely a night side mug lola. Okay, Margaret sweatshirt this
18:30
time, I have the T shirt. You're always looking for something, let
18:33
me tell you. Oh yeah, you know, uh yeah, I have
18:37
to take advantage of the situation. I got it. I got it.
18:41
Okay, you got it in here? Uh, you got to dance on
18:48
your hands. Has Tom Brady or the Gronk? I want to think he
18:55
needs a woman. It needs to be a woman and a man. Well
19:00
you got I mean both Brady and Gronk would be eliminated in that category.
19:04
We will see. I went, I went to Seaport but lunch the other
19:11
day, my friend took me and he took me to this plate place.
19:18
I'm trying to get the name of it here Dollar. I think it is
19:21
is something. It's a sandwich shop. And there's a car backed in funch
19:26
and it had a plate on it that said Scholars, Scholars and Seaport area.
19:33
It said TB twelve. And I said to him. He goes,
19:37
hey, Lola, do you see that plate. I go, yeah, that's Tom Brady. He goes, I didn't think you knew that. I
19:41
go, yeah, TB twelve. So I don't know that. I don't
19:45
know that Tom Brady's riding around the town with a plate that say TV twelve.
19:51
I think, oh, but somebody is. And I got to see it while I was here. Yeah, I mean, I get signs everywhere
19:59
to so April fourth or is it April twelfth? April twelfth, they're doing
20:04
the big a celebration for him. Okay, well that's good to know.
20:14
That's good. Yeah, well they announced it. They announced it a while
20:17
ago. All right, we're gonna get us back to our FK junior.
20:21
Get away from Shanahan. All right, I got you down, I got
20:26
you, Nicole Shanahan. I'll be looking up tomorrow. Thanks. Thanks you
20:30
girl, Iris an Irish girl. That's true. You never know, you
20:34
just never know. We'll see what happens. Thanks, thanks, lolad to
20:37
talk to you, Dan take here, all right, thanks LOLd to talk
20:41
to you soon. Okay, here it comes the news at the bottom of
20:45
the hour. We'll be back. Your prediction as to who you would think
20:48
our FK Junior will pick next Tuesday. It's wide open. It's a wide
20:53
open field. Back on Nightside after this night Side was Dan Ray ONBZ,
21:02
Boston's news radio. All right, we got full lines here, let's keep
21:07
rolling. This is a fun game. Glenn and Brighton nig Glenn, Howard,
21:10
did you get my voicemail today? I hope yeah, No, that was okay, we're good, good, good, good, All right,
21:15
Glenn, I was worried. There, go right ahead. So who are
21:18
you going to pick? Who's going to be your dark horse here? Well,
21:22
as I was trying to tell your producer, rub I know this is
21:26
off a little off the cuff, but says he if he's got a thing
21:30
for athletes. There was a soccer player. I don't know if it's back
21:36
in twenty ten. I don't know if it was a revolutionary. His name
21:41
was Taylor Twelman, t wl m a n yest him the good player.
21:48
Yeah, well, if he's kinda First of all, he doesn't have a
21:51
snowballs chance in hell of winning. But if he's going to try to get traction, I think a cool sounding like Vice President Twelman that has a cool
22:03
Again, I have no idea about what his politics are, but let me
22:06
tell you if you if you pick it, as I say, I've eliminated
22:11
Rogers and Ventura because that's what everybody would be guessing. And I'm assuming that
22:18
I want someone to come up with a name that we haven't thought of.
22:21
And again I've thrown out Betto o' rourke. You remember him, Robert Robert
22:26
Francis o' rourke, correct, uh, And then I gave to Dan Well
22:33
Dan in New Hampshire took Tom Brady and Gronk. I also gave him Liz
22:37
Cheney because I came up with Liz Cheney. Oh god, well, just
22:42
you know, I mean, who would He's gonna he wants to make a
22:47
splash here, okay. I mean he's got to come up with someone that
22:52
not only has some as they'd like to say, gravitas, some some substance,
22:56
but also someone who is to I mean, he could come up with
23:00
I don't know, he come up with a former general. That's that's possible.
23:07
You could, you could do that, you know, but I you
23:11
know, I like lowis prediction. Nicole Shanahan. I've never heard of her
23:17
before, but it's no, I haven't either, But that's okay. And
23:21
Irish ass. That's a good name. Yeah, I guess that's a wonderful
23:26
name. But I don't know. It's it's the It's gonna be a lot
23:30
of speculation about who it might be. So let's uh, let's see,
23:36
let's hold our fire and see what see what we come up with, you know, I mean there's gotta be some someone's gonna it'll probably have to leak.
23:45
To be honest with you, I mean, you know, but I
23:49
remember when Dan Quayle was picked Ross Perrot's running mate. No one's gonna remember
23:55
him, James. Yes, good for you, Good for you? Yes,
24:00
I remember who am I? And why am I here? I shot
24:02
beer out of my nose. I was laughing so hard. Yes, yes, yes, the guy. This guy was pretty former POW during the Vietnam
24:11
War. Okay, passed away, so he's not eligibly. He passed away
24:15
in two thousand and five, so he's not gonna be chosen. But that
24:22
would be one something like that, a military person. How about General Mark
24:26
Milly? I don't know they would That would be some that would make an
24:33
impact, but I guess it will happen. We'll have to say. So
24:37
I got you down for Taylor twelve and Soccer Style. I never would have
24:41
predicted that one, Glenn, and that's maybe what he's gotta do. I'm
24:44
trying to get a coffee mug from it. All right, thanks, Glenn,
24:48
We'll talk to somebody. Talk to you thinking night. I gotta keep
24:52
rolling here. I'm having fun with this. I am, at least Bob
24:56
and Weymouth Bobby. Next time, I said, who's r F K. Junior're gonna pick for his vice president? What's your guess? Well, I'm
25:02
going to tell I'm going to tell you who's not. I'm not going to pick Dan Ray. Okay. I don't want to pick you for a losing
25:10
team, So we're gonna let that go get Okay, Okay, I'm going
25:14
to second. I'm going to put a second on the Cole Shanahan, the
25:17
attorney really and the reason I'm going to do that. She's a very independent
25:22
woman. She's bought and Soul company. She's a multi millionaire in her own
25:27
right. She already gave four million to Kennedy's campaign. Plus she's buddy buddy
25:33
with the Lan Musk. And also, I did not know until you mentioned
25:41
that. I must tell you, I did not know who Nicole Shanahan was.
25:47
I'm going to google her right now. You and Lola have have opened
25:51
my eyes to someone. Here. Let's see what what we we have on
25:55
her. You go right ahead, I'm listening. Oh oh, and also
26:00
she's fighting by with Eleon Moss. You know, she's got all the powerful
26:04
people who were there out they're gonna if she runs more money's gonna come in
26:11
into the campaign, so he's gonna pick her a gap. Uh, there's
26:14
no doubt about it. And she's threat eight years old, she's a practice,
26:18
she's female, she's uh, she's got all the qualifications you'd want.
26:26
Uh. And that's what you're right. She was born in nineteen eighty five.
26:30
She's an an entrepreneur and attorney political donor based in the San Francisco Bay
26:34
area. He's going to make the announcement in Oakland, so that could be
26:38
possible that Hey, the know, you guys might have hit it clean here.
26:44
Hey damn, I grew up in Oakland, California. Yeah, Dan,
26:48
I wait, can I get a coffee cup? I'll even pay for the damn thing? Yeah. The easy way to get a coffee mind,
26:53
just go to nightsidegear dot com. Because if it's Shanahan, I got to
26:59
give it to Lola because she's she picked it first. Just you know what
27:03
the Nightside coffee mug costs. It's eighteen dollars with shipping. It's like twelve
27:08
dollars and six dollars for shipping. And it's a great coffee mug. I'm
27:14
telling you, Bob, just go to nightsidegear dot com or call up are
27:19
you good to the computer? Well, my son is oh. Or you
27:23
call college hype in if you you give Rob, you give Rob your number
27:30
and I'll call you tomorrow and I'll cook you up with college hype dot com.
27:34
Okay, oh, you know something, Dan, I can't say why
27:37
you can't afford to give away a second coffee cup. Here's the problem.
27:45
Everybody wants to get something, Okay, I mean yeah, yeah. By
27:51
the way, just so you know, the proceeds from the sale of the
27:53
coffee mug goes to the Shadow Fund, to which I contribute pretty heavily.
28:02
To be honest with you, that's the Shadow Fund. The Shadow Fund is
28:06
the charity of choice of Nightside. I donate all of my speaking fees and
28:11
make separate donation to the Shadow Fund. Of what that does is that's run
28:17
by a woman named Professor now of the Assistant Dean, Diane Sullivan at the
28:22
Massachusetts School of Law. That provides and every penny goes to provide veterinary care
28:29
for people who cannot afford to take their pets to a veterinarian. There's a
28:33
lot of folks out there who have a dog or a cat, or it
28:37
doesn't matter, a parent, a frog or whatever. And Professor Diane Sullivan,
28:45
who is a saint, she runs that along with a woman named Laura
28:48
Lucier, and every penny goes to help. They have helped thousands of people
28:55
who don't have the money to take their everything from surgeries down to just you
29:00
know well, visits for pets. If you want to check out the shadow
29:04
Funder. If anyone wants to check out the Shadow Fund, just go to
29:07
shadow Fund n E. For New England. There's another charity name said the
29:12
name shadow Fund, which is totally unrelated. In California. Just put shadowfundne
29:18
dot org, shadow fund dot org. I just I just throw it down,
29:22
okay, And if you have any trouble, I want you to hold
29:26
on. Rob will give you my direct of telephone number and you can call
29:33
me. I'll call you back. And as I say, I wish I
29:36
could give coffee mugs to everybody, to everything. And I don't want it.
29:40
You know what, I want to pay for it now that's going there. I don't want it for it. No. I appreciate that, I
29:45
really do, and I hope that maybe our conversationists. But By the way,
29:48
the coffee mug is the best looking coffee mug you will ever have in
29:52
your home. I'm telling you right now. Okay uh it's it's cobalt blue.
29:57
It's a dark blue with white lettering. Night side with Dan Ray.
30:03
There's the iyeart seal in the back. It's Donne by r pal Jack Darty
30:07
at College Hype in Dorchester. He makes no profit on this at all.
30:11
Any of the profit ghosts the Shadow Fund, and I love the charity.
30:17
I was. I was given an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the by
30:22
the Massachusetts School of Law. They're based in Andover. Diane Sullivan, who
30:26
have profiled on the show on many occasions, profiled her one night many years
30:32
ago. A few nights later, she got a twenty five thousand dollars check
30:37
anonymously from Boston law firm. Someone donated made the donation, didn't want anyone
30:44
to know about it. So, you know, we raise some money and
30:47
we help people, and I happen to love it because there's no administrative costs.
30:51
You know, you get these calls, you get these telephone solicitors,
30:55
would you like to contribute to the National Police Association and I'll ask them,
30:59
well, what are the straight of cost? Well, we give ten percent
31:02
actually to police departments, and the administrative cost of ninety percent. I mean
31:06
it's abstored. It's absurd. Yeah, all right, Bob, you got
31:10
it. I'm happy. Thanks Dan, Thank I'm happy too. I really
31:12
do appreciate it. Stay there, Rob will give you my direct line.
31:15
If you have any problems, I'll help you work through it. Okay,
31:18
thanks, thank you. All right, gonna take quick break. I got
31:22
Steven Mansfield, I got barryon Norwell, I got Bill in Middleton, I
31:25
got Dan and Wilmington. We're going to get those guys in and we're going to get you into. If you want to dial, we'll just keep dialing
31:32
and get everybody in. I'm gonna move everybody quickly, give you a chance.
31:34
If anyone picks it, and it looks to me like maybe Lola has
31:38
hit it, I don't know. Uh. My suggestion is I'm picking out
31:42
of the blue Roberto Vette O'Rourke, former congressman from from from the Great State
31:48
of Texas, a Democrat down there, and I don't think as much of
31:52
a future as a Democrat in Texas. Back on Night Side, right,
31:56
after this, it's nice with Dan Ray on Boston's news Radio. Okay,
32:04
we're gonna get everybody in. I promise. Let's start it off with Bill
32:08
and Middleton. Bill, who would you advise? So who do you predict
32:13
what? Robert F. Kennedy R K Junior will pick us? So I
32:16
think Lola stole my thunder. It's it's probably gonna be in that Nicole Shanahan
32:22
if not Jesse Ventura, which is okay, I'll give you Jesse if you
32:27
want to. If you want to take Jesse Ventura, if you just said
32:30
I want to keep his I want to cover as much of the field as possible, Okay and available, I'll put him up with the boarder. I
32:37
know, no, but Jesse Ventura and some of his some of his outrageous
32:42
stuff has been you know, just that it's been outrageous, But some of
32:45
his conspiracy theories I fall in line with that. That's why as much the
32:50
Republican, as much of a Republican I am, I'm sort of a conservative
32:54
with a Republican lean because nine to eleven threw me for a complete loop,
33:00
and I'm one of those conspiracy theorists where I do not believe what we've been
33:05
fed on nine to eleven. I totally feel it was an inside job head
33:09
to toe, and I've done a ton of research on it. So my
33:14
question is like for you, like, I really like, you know,
33:16
I like all sides of how you you know, how you go about your
33:21
business, Like how do you carry yourself? You know, what do you
33:23
represent as your conservative or where are you at? Because I listened to you
33:30
plowing and all that, and I've just recently been tuning in a lot more
33:34
than I normally have, but like, how do you fall on your on
33:37
your end? Well, I consider myself to be a conservative. I'm kind
33:40
of a traditional sort of guy. I guess on some issue, right you
33:45
lean left? What's that? Do you lean right or do you lean right
33:50
left? Conservatives are considered that they did lean right. I mean, you
33:53
know, like my family, I have a brother who's a retired state police
34:00
tenant, a sister in law who's retired to state police officers. So I'm
34:02
very comfortable with the police community. I think that those folks are the thin
34:07
blue line. They protect all of our minds. Yep, you know, so we can have a longer conversation than night if you googled Nicole Shanahan.
34:15
She's had a pretty interesting life here. Hey, do me a favorite bill.
34:17
Call more often and we will. We'll get to know each other's politics
34:22
a little bit more. I think we'll probably be pretty close. Okay, Okay, yeah, sounds good. Thanks man. Talk to you soon.
34:28
Keep listening, keep rolling here. We are going next to Barry and Norwell.
34:32
Barry gonna push you a little bit on time here because we're getting a
34:35
little tight on time. Go ahead, very quick, I'll be quick. Thank you. She's a former congress person left the Democrat Party from Hawaii,
34:51
very very strong person, a veteran. Their name is Telsey Gabbert. Oh
34:55
sure, I think that's a good pick. I mean, that's one that
35:00
I don't know how how she gets along with with RFK Jr. But I
35:04
think she would be a very strong pick and the type of pick that would
35:08
that would help his campaign. To be honest with you, I think so.
35:12
She's beautiful, and she's well spoken, and she's Hillary called her rooting
35:19
for Putin or Putin. Yeah, I know that that's that. That's all
35:22
a bunch of and it look there's not much that Hillary Clinton has said in
35:28
the last fifteen years, including some of her comments on BEng Ghazi. She
35:32
she was dead wrong on ben Ghazi, and it cost the lives of four
35:37
brave Americans including you know, but they very they very healthy. They don't
35:44
see her anymore, Kennedy, Do you think he has a chance. No,
35:50
I don't in all honesty, be guys, they think that Ross Bureau
35:52
won nineteen percent of the vote in nineteen ninety two but didn't carry one state
35:58
and got no electoral vot that's the problem, you know. So we'll see.
36:04
Well, he's got to get he's got to get on ballot status.
36:07
He claims he's going to get on all the all the states. Uh,
36:10
well, we'll see. I mean it. Look, it's a long way
36:13
to novel. You never know what might happen. So, uh, if you're if you happen to be an RFK guy, stick with you, guy,
36:20
and and give him some support. We're trying to get him to come on the show, and his press office is totally inadequate. They're inconfident I
36:28
would be for him fair enough. All right, thanks, Barry. I
36:31
gotta run get four more. I gotta get right okay, thanks, Sorry,
36:35
folks. A little bit of a little a little bit of a head, not a head goal ther little allergies. Steven Mansfield, Steve, you
36:40
got to be quick from me. Go ahead, Steve, Sure, I'll
36:44
be real quick here. He needs to pick somebody that's going to anger both
36:50
the right and the left. He has to get somebody who's going to come
36:53
down the middle, you know, because uh, you know, there are
36:58
certain Republicans that don't like Trump yep, and there are a bunch of Democrats
37:02
that think Biden's too old. And a person who drew a lot of attention
37:07
was Nicky Hamley. Well, yeah, I mean that would be if he
37:12
ever were able to pull that off. I don't know that. And again
37:16
that's your that's your your suggestion, that's your pick. We we may go
37:22
through a cult, right, but that would be for him. That would
37:27
be on a scale of zero to ten and eleven if you got Nicky Haley.
37:31
Yeah, all right, I can always hope. Thanks Steve. Appreciate
37:38
your call. Dan and Wilmington. Dan, we got to punch it up
37:42
here, go right ahead, Dan, Okay, thank you, Dan,
37:45
h Can you hear me all right? I can here? You find a
37:47
right head. Yeah, my first pick would be Franklin Graham. You only
37:52
get one pick. Okay, I'm living in it. Franklin Graham. That's
37:58
an interesting pick. Believe me, that's an interesting pick. Now, you
38:02
guys have come up with some really good ones tonight. Okay. That would
38:07
help him with the South because of the Bible Belt down there. I think the Franklin Graham, you know, would pick up a lot of votes.
38:13
I'm with you. I'm with you, all right. Dan. I'm gonna
38:15
let you run because I got a whole bunch of folks behind you. Okay, thanks you man, Thank you man. Appreciate it very much. Jeff
38:20
and Brewster. Jeff, I got two more. You gotta be quick for me, Jeff Conda, Lieza Rice. Yeah, I mean I don't think
38:29
Condy Rice would do that. I think she's much too much of a Republican.
38:34
But what an amazing choice that would be. That would that would knock
38:38
it out of the park too, great, great suggestions. Okay, here
38:42
we go, Glenn, and have Glenn get you in one more. Go
38:44
ahead, Glenn, Hi, Dan, how are you doing. I'll make it short and sweet for you. Bernie Sanders and I'm gonna hang up and
38:50
let you talk a great Bernie Sanders Okay, I don't think so. I
38:52
think Bernie's with with Biden. But guess what that would be also a home
38:58
run. He's got a lot of choices here, Okay, thanks Glenn.
39:01
Last of Midnight, Christine and dead and Christine. I'm dine and know who
39:06
you're gonna pick, but you gotta be quick for me. Okay, Wow,
39:13
you know something. I will be stunned if that is the choice.
39:19
But guess what a lot of these other choices have stunned me too. Thanks
39:22
Chris, Thanks Christy. How you guys have been This has been a great
39:27
hour of radio. Thank you all very much. I'll see everybody on Facebook
39:30
