From the perspectives of positive psychology or of holism, mental health may include an individual's ability to enjoy life and to create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health includes "subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, inter-generational dependence, and self-actualization of one's intellectual and emotional potential, among others". The WHO further states that the well-being of an individual is encompassed in the realization of their abilities, coping with normal stresses of life, productive work, and contribution to their community. Cultural differences, subjective assessments, and competing professional theories all affect how one defines "mental health".

Durty Flow, started out rapping in Savannah, Ga at the tender age of 7. Durtys cousin (Demetrius Adkins) ghostwrote his first rhyme, which he used until he was able to create on his own. Durty then moved to Atlanta, GA with his mother, which is where he honed his skill in school and around the neighborhood. He then went back to Savannah, GA to live with his grandmother, that is when he and childhood friend Camouflage (of Pure Pain Rec.) teamed up to drop a collab, which was canceled by an untimely 3 year prison sentence. While incarcerated, friend Camouflage was slain. When Durty was released he left Georgia to visit York, PA. There he co-founded Stage1 Ent. Using his wits, he perfected his craft, and begin recording with local talent around York. He then teamed up with Slip N Slide Dj 5053 of NFL Ree Money Productions, and MNS Media Group (who manages Durty). Durty then inked a deal in Jan. of 2010 with Inde Label -Pioneer Records, and is now currently in the process of releasing his debut album, and other future projects. https://www.instagram.com/darealdurtyflow/
