Manchester United took an early lead thanks to a great effort from Rasmus Hojlund in the 3rd minute. Spurs then took control of the game and it was no surprise when Richarlison headed home Pedro Porro’s corner in the 19th minute. Despite creating further chances Spurs fell behind in the 40th minute when Marcus Rashford produced a brilliant piece of skill to put Man Utd 2-1 up at half time. Straight after half time Spurs again drew level when Bentancur finished off a great Tottenham Hotspur move. Despite missing 5 first teamers Spurs will feel it was an opportunity lost in not gaining all 3 points but the Spurs fans travelled back to London excited for the future.
