What is Good Friday all about?The day to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.What is Easter Sunday all about?The day to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.Is the specific date or name of the holiday very important?Not particularly, we actually spend time “in remembrance” of Jesus every week. But it’s nice to have some extra time off and special gatherings!

Jesus Sacrifice on the CrossRom 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Rom 5:7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.

Num 15:1 Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Num 15:2 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, `When you enter the land where you are to live, which I am giving you, Num 15:3 then make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a special vow, or as a freewill offering or in your appointed times, to make a soothing aroma to the LORD, from the herd or from the flock. Num 15:4 `The one who presents his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil, Num 15:5 and you shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one-fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

Psa 22:1 For the choir director; upon Aijeleth Hashshahar. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning. Psa 22:2 O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest. Psa 22:6 But I am a worm and not a man, A reproach of men and despised by the people. Psa 22:14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

Isa 53:3 He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Isa 53:11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Isa 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.

Luk 22:19 And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." Luk 22:20 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.
