Well, here is something new!

Chryssy and Brian created “Not Quite Therapy” as a safe space to talk about divorce and dating and parenting. You’re kind of eavesdropping on a conversation between friends, but it’s cool – we invited you. And we hope there’s something here that extrapolates to your life.

Chryssy and Brian are trying to get settled here on Episode 1. This is going to be a “learn as we go” series, much like all things in the “How To Do” brand family.

Brian whips up a Negroni for the pair. He shakes the drink for an excessively long time and then wipes orange juice on Chryssy’s cozy blankey. Super rude. We learn that the Negroni is a drink he was inspired to make because of something about Stanley Tucci. Chryssy later, off air, googles Stanley Tucci to learn she has never seen even one of his films. But he makes a terrific drink.

Here’s the drink of the day recipe, so you can have one along with us –

2 parts gin

2 parts sweet vermouth

1 part Campari

Shake for an excessively long time, serve it in a fancy glass (or a yeti), squeeze a slice of fresh orange into it.

Next the pair moves on to a little Foreplay, discussing Mother’s Day and what that day looks and feels like in divorced households.

Finally ready to Get Down and Dirty, we discuss our childhood experiences with divorce and how they shaped – or how we thought they’d shape – who we grew up to be in our own relationships.

Upcoming episodes in our first arc, “Divorce” (4 episodes) will discuss our previous marriages and mindsets, the things we tried or didn’t try to save our situations, and more banter. Lots of banter.
