In this episode of NowD1 Speaks, we had the privilege of sitting down with Carter Dierdorf, a true utility player for the North Greenville University Crusaders who made a remarkable impact by being named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year. Carter's versatility shone through as he seamlessly transitioned between first base, the outfield, and the pitcher's mound, contributing significantly to the Crusaders' success during the season. 

Carter's performance on the field was nothing short of impressive, ranking in the top-20 in average with a remarkable .356 in 23 conference games. Hailing from Bradenton, Florida, he not only displayed his prowess in batting but also showcased his speed on the bases, going 3-for-4. Carter's contributions extended beyond his individual achievements; he scored 20 times and drove in 18 runs, ultimately playing a pivotal role in securing the regular-season conference championship for his team. 

North Greenville University has a history of producing exceptional talents, with Carter being the fifth player from the university to earn the coveted title of Freshman of the Year, the most recent prior to him being Pat Monteith in 2021.
