The forms of drag that are most often thought of by the general public is what is shown to them through the media. RuPaul's Drag Race has created a standard of drag that leaves other drag performers to be seen as a discrepancy. Alternative drag strives to go against the norm, as drag was originally made for. Angel Fazce, a drag performer from Birmingham, describes her experience with combining j-fashion, specifically lolita, with her drag performances.
