What do you think it is about you that attracts the toxics into your life? 🤭Is it because you're a good listener and give people the space to go off.. Or because you're patient.. maybe you don't let things phase you??? Toxic people need a space to exist in and not surprisingly, they become enabled by those who are surrounded by them (either voluntarily or not ;) 

On episode #9 Off Record Show, Santibel and I looked back on our toxic track record and talked about past toxic relationships. We delved into how to recognize red flags/ traits, ebbing and flowing between being the toxic one and being with a toxic, and the different flavors of toxicity 🤡

Santibel is a Colombian solo artist that transfigures traditional Colombian Cumbia and marries it with indie. His lyrics are heavily influenced by romance, intimacy, and heartache then layered with electric guitar riffs, reverb, & delays. “¿Entonces pa’ que?” can be safely classified in the heartbreak track category. It boasts soft acoustics with electric riffs and melodic lyrics. His sounds are folk, often include the accordion, and have “guache” notes . Recently, Santibel has been performing live in medellin and pulling out crowds during “fechas navidenas”. 

During the second half, Santibel shared how he acquired his musical seasoning, the emergence of neo latin american folk music, and the importance the lyrics play in his music.
