Studio Ghibli fans stand on one side of the aisle or the other, which film is best: Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away? Let's be real... it's Princess Mononoke and listen to us (really just Sumner and Chadwick) explain why.

Princess Mononoke is often referred to as the 'Star Wars' of anime, due to its significant mark on the history of cinema. Everything changed after Princess Mononoke, anime, animation, Hayao Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli.

Perhaps the most epic anime, and one of the most epic animated films of all time, its scope compares to something like The Lord of the Rings. It's no wonder it literally took decades to make. Princess Mononoke is rapid with fluidity, color, crispness and scale. All while incorporating some of Miyazaki's trademark themes of Female Empowerment, Caring for the Environment & Pacifism.
