Olympian and Commonwealth Games veteran Sarah Cowley Ross came to CHS on Tuesday to talk with Conrad Wilson about bullying, mental well-being and the upcoming Pink Shirt Day. Her message? “Speak up, and stand up” for others as New Zealand works to combat a widespread bullying problem. When bad mental health strikes—for school kids and athletes alike—the five wellbeing pillars of connection, giving, keeping learning and staying active are a good place to start.
