I use a Ndebele proverb outlining how a dance instructor - literally functions like a Mentor.  With the exception of academic study - I have never had a Mentor, never saw the need - mainly because I could not see anyone that looked like me who I could look up to as a role model.  I have no regrets but I believe in Mentoring now and in 2020 I will take on a Mentee.
