Day 3 of #NPHW2020 or National Public Health Week 2020 is focusing on Violence Prevention! Violence is a leading causes of premature deaths in this country, so it is vital to do the best we can with addressing this. On that note, I have interviewed Ashley Stone, an expert in the field of #violenceprevention, focusing on non-violence education and approaches. Ashley Stone is a native of Chicago, IL, born and raised in the Bronzeville community. She is currently completing her doctorate in Sociology at the University of Central Florida with a focus on social inequalities. Ashley has served as a non-violence educator since 2012, providing workshops for a variety of audiences about the fundamentals of non-violence.
