Focal Point:
In light of Jody Fosters comments, what is it that constitutes a “Real” film? Is she right? Are superhero films ruining the art of cinema? Or, is she just mad at something she doesn’t understand. Is making a film with a comic as source material the same as making a film with a novel as source material? Are all comic book movies Just formula driven, and pandering to the lowest common denominator? Is making films for people who have spent their lives studying art and reading philosophy better than making films for people that have spent their lives reading comics and studying cannons of their favorite characters?
