Dave Grohl Loses to 10-Year Old

Mark Radlund and Nate Callens reunite to dish out the latest news in the music world for this week’s Rock Recap, such as Dave Grohl losing to a 10-year old in a drum battle.

The guys dig into such topics as the legendary Rick Astley possibly doing the next James Bond theme song, Dave Grohl losing a drum battle to 10-year drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell, and a review of The Killers new album Imploding the Mirage.

Nate also gives us his two cents on Bill and Ted 3: Face the Music. This, of course, leads into a heated debate of the greatest 80s power ballads.

The cheesier the power ballad, the better.

This episode’s featured artist is the talented alternative-folk rockers, The Ridleys.

The Ridleys is a four-piece band from Manila, Philippines, that has been telling stories through songs since 2016. They released Aphrodite EP in 2016, From Morning Light/‘Til Break of Dawn EP in 2017. They released their first LP, Reflections on Moonlight & Poetry in December 2019.

They are currently signed on to the Manila-based record label MARILAG Records & Productions. Marilag is Filipino for ‘majestic.’

The Ridleys are composed of four members: Benny Manaligod (Vocalist), Jan De Vera (Lead Guitarist), Joric Canlas (Bassist), and Bryant Ayes (Drummer).
