Entrepreneur. CEO. Founder.

These three titles are some of the most desirable careers in the market right now.

More and more articles are popping up across the internet about people who have transformed their lives by starting their own companies.

Entrepreneurship is a career in which people can choose their own agenda, determine their own future, and create a vision that they are passionate about. Plus, if they’re successful, they are often recognized as an unstoppable force of pure motivation, undaunted by the numerous challenges of building a business in the sea of competition and failures.

Often times, however, these entrepreneurs focus on developing technology for the sake of technology. We modify slight nuances in mobile apps and call it innovation. We make processes more efficient to streamline consumer behavior and call it disruption.

“What is the rush towards innovation that makes mankind more obsolete when so many people in this world would cherish the opportunity to have a living wage and a sense of dignity that allows them to provide for themselves and their family?”

These words are part of the mission statement at CARBON, an impact group that redefines capitalism by creating "Economies in a Box" for the betterment of humanity. The company focuses on socially conscious entrepreneurship, building upon ideas that would make a positive, community-wide impact based on three pillars: Education, Empowerment, and Resources.

In this inspiring episode, Alexander Star interviews Shayne Veramallay, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at CARBON.
