We’re positively excited about todays destination wedding pictures sent over by the lovely Chris Prestidge of atdusk photography.

The sweet couple, Carryn and Paul, were married on the 9th of February 2010 at Surin Beach in Phuket, Thailand. The breathtaking bride was pregnant on her wedding day and wore a chic Wendy Makin gown from Marry Me Bridal. Carryn explains her choice, “I was 6 months pregnant on my wedding day so I wanted a gown that was comfortable, cool, and elegant. I ended up choosing a strapless, Grecian style gown with an empire waist that was just perfect for the beach setting.”

The wedding ceremony was held on the sand at Pla Resturant and a pretty aisle was created out of scattered white orchids and white rose petals, which led to an insanely pretty bamboo arch with white orchid walls. The reception decor and colour palette was kept equally pretty, Carryn explains how this was achieved. “The reception was held at the same spot on the beach [and] we had 2 long tables under a bamboo structure with white draped fabric and ball lighting. The theme of white roses and orchids was carried through to the table centerpieces, which also featured delicate seashells.”

Carryn was kind enough to share a few more details with us, which you’ll find after her stunning wedding pictures.

What made your wedding unique? “We had approximately 60 friends attend from all over the world; it was wonderful to have everyone in one place. Most people stayed for at least a week so it we had plenty of time to socialise and relax.”

Did you DIY any details? “No – We loved that it was so easy! Having a wedding planner made the process very simple. The whole wedding was planned over the internet and we were left with only a few things to organise ourselves – which suited us perfectly as Paul and I fell pregnant during the planning phase so we had other things to think about!”

Your favorite moment? “One of the best and most personal moments during the wedding was when the celebrant read out a list of things that we loved about each other. Paul and I had both written our lists in secret so it was so special to hear what each of us had selected – it had the both of us in tears!

[Also] the lighting of the Thai lanterns – it was so beautiful to see everyone letting off their lanterns into the sky… it looked like we made our own constellation of stars.”

Your advice? “Having a wedding planner was the best decision we ever made, particularly given our wedding was being held overseas. She made the process so stress-free and enjoyable for the both of us, which is exactly what a wedding should be!”

Congratulations and best wishes to Carryn {the most stunning pregnant bride ever}, Paul, and the new addition.
