Dr. Jason Whitney is the Program Coordinator of Penn State's Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC), a program of Student Affairs that helps support students in recovery from alcohol and other substance use disorders as they pursue higher education and success at Penn State. The CRC is a dedicated recovery community that reinforces healthy and sustainable habits of mind, body, and spirit. According to Dr. Whitney "The students in recovery in this program have made the decision to desist entirely from the use of alcohol and other drugs and are committed to a program of action that will maximize their chances of achieving long-term recovery while meeting their educational (and other life) goals. Some of our students live in ROAR House, our dedicated on-campus recovery housing. The Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community embodies everything that is great about Penn State: Excellence, support for one's fellow students, service to the community, and strong alumni support. Come see for yourself this powerful and highly personalized program and the success that students regularly find within our tight-knit community."
Please check out ALL of the services related to this CRC program. College is a wonderful place of higher learning and adulting, and yes, partying. If alcohol, drugs, marijuana (weed, pot, whatever they are calling it now-a-days), or other substances has already become a problem of addiction, there is support.
