#51 Dr. Kenneth Tomkovich and Jess chat about pioneering cryoablation for breast cancer tumors. Cryoablation is defined as using extreme cold (cryo) to distroy (ablate) tissue from the inside out. His work in cryoablation for breast cancer serves the patient with a gentler way to treat breast cancer tumors as compared to a traditional lumpectomy. Cryoablation is minimally invasive, less stressful on the patient, less recovery time, and no disfigurement.
