The usual strategy deployed by the US govt to help students is student debt cancellation. This particularly is important for students who may not have access to resources to start saving and investing in assets at an earlier age.

But is it the most effective way of setting students up for success? Professor Willie Elliott, from the University of Michigan and I discuss this in more detail.

Having a clear understanding of the impact of student loans, particularly when income projections - particularly for 2-year degrees - might be lower than what was originally thought.
