I've had more than my fair share of people reach out to me and tell me that they do not listen to my podcast episodes because they are too long.
An hour is too much to ask from people.
Heck, half an hour is too much to ask from a good handful of people.
What you need to understand is that if people aren't listening to your show when it's an hour long, they aren't going to listen to it when it is 20 minutes long.
They are either listeners or they are not.
That's not to say that you should not spend any time strategizing the length of your episodes.
Different lengths work for different strategies, and you should put some thought into it.
But don't let any small portion of your feedback dictate your entire show.
Do what feels right.
