Italy has announced that its borders will reopen to tourists on June 3, with bars, restaurants, non-essential shops and museums opening ahead of this on May 18.

Sicily remains closed for now like the rest of Italy, but has announced that it will subsidise international and domestic travel to the region in order to encourage tourism once lockdown has lifted.
