Occupational therapists have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages. When working with adults, there are several different practice settings an occupational therapist can work in. We discuss our experiences working in an adult rehabilitation hospital and dive into the treatment areas (ADL’s/IADL’s) that are typically addressed in rehab. Shannon compares her rehab experience to working in a skilled nursing facility. We touch on the importance of the therapist's comfort level of working with their patients on bathing and toileting.
