Nationally acclaimed youth work consultant, Vanessa Rogers dips into her extensive experience working with young people to explore some tough topics such as gangs and porn, in this latest episode of Our Kids in Mind with clinical psychologists, Bettina and Jane.

As well as being a qualified teacher, Vanessa has managed a wide range of services for young people including a large youth centre and speaks from the heart on the strength of teenagers and what they can offer if given a purpose. Together, Bettina, Jane and Vanessa discuss the huge influence of peers on a teen’s behaviour and how more confident teens can sometimes be ‘manoeuvred’ to spread positivity to others in group settings, as well as the importance of looking to replace the perceived benefits of belonging that gang life can bring.
