In this episode, we’re looking at the online world – Virtual Luxury. We are dependent – some might admit to be addicted – to living our lives online, but this doesn’t always feel safe, healthy or positive. The online world as we know it is designed by and for adults, yet one third of its users are children. If the internet was designed for children first, would it be a safer, better place to engage for all of us – a more luxurious experience?
I’ll be joined by two experts to explore this further. Later on, we’ll hear from Dr Elly Hanson, clinical psychologist and researcher, about how and why online engagement can cause harm to children. First, I spoke to my colleague Oliver Hayes, Policy and Campaigns Lead at Global Action Plan.
