AvenuePodcast. net Hi,

0:43

everybody. Welcome back to

0:45

over 40 and child-free.

0:48

It is episode 28. We're

0:51

almost in our thirties. Oh, wow. Going

0:55

by super fast. Kind of like the time

0:57

of the year it's already September.

0:59

Holy crap. Yeah,

1:02

it's so exciting. Football. Season's amazing. Penn

1:05

state. We had our drafts. Oh,

1:07

yes, we had our fantasy football draft.

1:09

And I fell start soon. I

1:12

mean, we are in it. People

1:14

I don't know about the rest of you. I mean, I like summer.

1:16

But I do. We had our last

1:19

pool day yesterday. But.

1:21

I love fall. I do. I

1:24

wish. It didn't

1:26

lead into winter. 'cause

1:29

I hate winter. So while fall

1:31

I love and it's exciting. It's

1:35

like, there's no light at the end of the tunnel

1:37

because you're going to take that tunnel

1:39

into winter and that's just depressing. I

1:42

know, but you know what? I just love this time of year, because

1:44

I'm all about my birthday month. Well,

1:46

yeah. About decorating for fall.

1:49

Following then Thanksgiving

1:51

and birthday month and then Christmas.

1:54

So it's like everything fun is right at the end of

1:56

the year. I remember that she was spread out. A

1:58

little bit more so that January through

2:01

April. I didn't seem so depressing. That's

2:03

the worst time. Again, winter,

2:07

winter. There's nothing really exciting going

2:09

on. I mean, there's, I mean, football

2:11

at least takes us into the first week. February.

2:14

That's true. So January can

2:16

be considered. Exciting. Does

2:18

this play off time? That's true. Yes. As

2:20

long as the winter is not too bad. We

2:22

had a good winter last year. I know it's going to happen

2:24

again. So I'm all

2:26

for it. When he's all for it.

2:28

I'm all for it. Let's do this,

2:31

do it. I could. Do

2:33

without the weather in the nineties

2:35

this week. Yeah. It's a little

2:38

fricking hot out there. First of all, it's kind

2:40

of rude of the weather to be in the nineties,

2:43

basically when the unofficial end

2:45

of summer is here. It should have been nineties,

2:47

like a month ago and now. Getting

2:49

beautiful, 80 degree weather. Just

2:52

saying. And now they're just going to taunt us

2:54

with 90 degree weather and no pool

2:57

to jump in. Although we were. Well

2:59

yesterday and there was no jumping in that

3:01

water. I was not jumping in. I did go in,

3:03

but then I think I got hypothermia and I couldn't

3:05

feel the bottom half of my body for about a half

3:07

an hour afterwards. So I was

3:09

impressed with Mike. He jumped, he just went

3:12

for it. That was bold. He jumped right in

3:14

and I don't know how he didn't just go

3:16

into shock, which makes me think that, remember

3:18

when we were talking about jumping in for

3:20

like the polar bear plunge in Antarctica, when. Cruz

3:23

there. I bet Mike would just go right in that. Yeah.

3:25

So I think that you would struggle with that.

3:27

I would absolutely struggle. With that. You

3:30

almost have to do it for

3:32

the Polaroid polar bear plunge.

3:34

Yeah. I didn't really have to do it yesterday at the pool. I

3:37

mean, you can ease yourself into

3:39

that cold water because it's so hot

3:41

out. But when you're doing the polar bear plunge,

3:43

it's already cold. It's already freezing

3:46

out and then you're jumping into Coles.

3:48

So there's no like. I'm

3:51

going to get out of the pool and I'll be hot again. This

3:53

will be great. Yeah, that

3:55

is not going to work. I'm. It's like myself, I'll

3:57

start for now because that trip won't be happening for,

3:59

you know, years and years. So. Just like myself

4:02

up. So the beginning of the summer,

4:04

you have to just start jumping into the pool

4:06

and preparation for your part of plunge. That's

4:09

a plan because it's always cold in the beginning

4:11

of the semester. All right. I'm going to start practicing. All

4:13

right. We'll have to remember that that's a whole

4:15

year. We got her. Tomorrow.

4:18

Forgetting this today is Monday. Oh,

4:20

it is. We have totally thrown off our schedule.

4:23

Normally we record on Sunday,

4:25

but we decided to be lazy after the pool yesterday,

4:27

since we have today off happy labor

4:29

day, everyone. But now my

4:31

whole routine is. I'm

4:34

all kinds of confused. Yeah.

4:37

I was going, I never knew what day it was now. Like

4:39

before, when I didn't work, I just kind of woke up

4:41

and hope it was a day, but now I actually know what day it is.

4:43

So, and I knew that I didn't have to work today. So

4:45

that was exciting. It's

4:49

a day. No, like now I know now

4:51

I wake up and I know what day it is. Before

4:53

I just woke up and I was like, I don't know. It's

4:55

someday. No. I be

4:57

like, I know it's a weekend cause Mike's home. Right.

5:00

But now I knew it was Monday and I didn't have

5:02

to go to work. Nice. And I'm not even

5:05

all that like sad that I have to go to work tomorrow. Yeah.

5:08

It's like, it is what it is now. So the first

5:10

week is over. Yes. You survived.

5:13

I did survive and I'm going to go back. I

5:15

just barely survived. We did just

5:17

barely survive last week. I mean, my

5:19

first week it was my first week. So everybody

5:21

knows how first week at a job goes. It's

5:23

usually fucking boring cause you're training and

5:25

learning things. And. As

5:28

basically what I was doing learning

5:30

and I stared at the wall a lot and

5:32

it was a struggle, but this week I'm hoping

5:34

for more stuff and I like it. The people are nice.

5:37

It's a good place to work. So that makes

5:39

all the difference. Really does. So

5:41

I always say if I did not love the people

5:43

that I worked with, I would never survive.

5:46

Yeah, I liked what you were going to. Everybody's really nice.

5:48

And I have to, because it's not the job itself. Isn't like

5:50

super exciting. I mean, The

5:52

company. But somebody does really

5:55

cool stuff. It makes parts for people

5:57

who need their spine reconstructed or

6:00

find fixed or whatever. So, I mean like

6:02

something with the spine. With the spine,

6:04

they make that stuff. And so they do really cool

6:06

work, but it's not, it's

6:08

not all that exciting to me. Like the stuff that I

6:10

do, I'm not going to lie. She is

6:12

not kidding. When she says that she stares

6:15

at a wall because she sent me a picture

6:17

of said, well, this is what I'm looking

6:19

at. For long periods of time.

6:23

I am excited. I know it was the second week we're going to, I'm

6:25

going to start getting more work. And then I'm going to remember the

6:27

days that I was bored, staring at a wall

6:29

and I'd be like, why am I not staring at a wall right

6:31

now? Well, that'll be the second

6:33

thing I remind you because when you first started,

6:36

you said, remind me how bored

6:38

I was and how much I hated being bored

6:40

at home. When I say that.

6:42

I want to quit. Yes. And now

6:45

that you're not going to be bored,

6:47

hopefully. And you're going to be like, I

6:49

wish I was bored right now. I'm going to say, but

6:51

you hated it. And you literally

6:54

had to like count the seconds until the end of

6:56

the day. I really did. Yeah. When you go to work,

6:58

I mean, I know it's nice not to have things to do, but you actually

7:00

want to do something. At the time, it doesn't have

7:02

the time to stare at the wall.

7:05

It's always my busiest days that I was like

7:07

this kid. Day's going too fast. But

7:10

anyway. Yeah, so it was a good week. So

7:13

I'm excited if. You know, going into the second

7:15

week and the best, best part was, or best part is,

7:17

is this week as a, not even a

7:19

full week for me. It is true. It's a very

7:21

short way for me because I took off on Friday.

7:24

Because we are heading to Virginia for

7:26

a wedding. Nicole is my plus one. I

7:28

can't wait. I'm so excited. I got, we got

7:30

our nails done and our pedicures.

7:34

Yes. Sweet you distress. I'm

7:36

still working on getting into mind, but I

7:39

have high hopes. You'll be fine. It's gonna,

7:41

it's gonna work out. So today we're working

7:43

on lipstick. That I'm going

7:45

to wear and jewelry

7:47

that I'm going to wear with such. I'm so

7:49

excited to have her pick out the makeup and

7:52

the jewelry. This is all fun things,

7:54

because I know nothing about makeup.

7:57

As I clearly said to Nicole, I was like,

7:59

well, I'll just bring any color. And she's like, well,

8:01

they have to. Cater your makeup around

8:03

the color that you bring. And I was like, oh,

8:06

I thought. Any of the color lipstick just

8:08

goes with anything. Not really.

8:11

I mean me, but the color that you pulled

8:13

out was just a little too dark

8:15

and brown for what you're going to go for.

8:17

Okay. So. Because it

8:19

was the only. I had laying around. We're

8:22

going to go and we're going to pick out something

8:24

really pretty and you're going to love it. And

8:27

I'm going to wear it that day. Yes.

8:29

And I'm going to get you to wear it another day,

8:31

too. I don't know what day that will

8:33

be. Maybe I'll get you to wear

8:36

it. Cause we have a whole bunch of things to do during

8:38

birthday month. So maybe during. I'll

8:40

get you to where it maybe I'll look real pretty

8:43

when we go see Bert. Oh, yes,

8:45

that's going to be so fun. Huh.

8:48

But yes, I'll get you to wear it again. All. All right.

8:51

We'll see, I'll see about that. So

8:54

other than being busy at work, did anything else

8:56

happen last week or was it just kind of. I

8:59

really feel like work just consumed

9:01

my life last week. I worked

9:03

late most nights. I

9:06

didn't even get to the grocery store. At one point,

9:08

I was just living on protein bars and

9:11

protein shakes because I ran out

9:13

of food. It's terrible. I

9:16

heard a commercial today that I really felt was

9:18

really speaking to you and you should have been listening to it. It

9:20

was the giant direct commercial. It doesn't matter the

9:22

other day. I said, you should just get your. Groceries delivered.

9:25

And you were like, I don't like when people pick

9:27

out stuff for. Yes. And they were like,

9:29

and then the commercial, the commercial was like, if you're one of

9:31

those people who doesn't want to randomly picking

9:33

out stuff for you, don't worry about it

9:36

because we train our people.

9:38

Because they have specific people in the store that

9:40

do it. It's not like the Rondo. Oh,

9:43

right. Higher to go shopping for you. They

9:45

train them the. Pulled out, learn how to pick out

9:48

the best produce and the best meats. So

9:50

they probably even pick out something better than you

9:52

because they know. All right. Well,

9:54

I don't think anybody trained you. I

9:57

trained me on what I like. They

10:00

don't know what I like. And so I just

10:02

had a laugh cause I was listening to the commercial and I was

10:04

like, they're talking to Tracy right here. So

10:06

like my thing is when I buy bananas,

10:08

because I'm on a banana kick right now. I

10:11

can't buy them all yellow

10:14

because I buy like a whole.

10:16

Bunch of them. So by the time I get to the end and

10:18

they're brown and gross. But then

10:20

I can't buy them all green

10:22

and not right yet, because then

10:25

what am I going to eat the next day? So

10:27

I need to find a bunch that's like partially

10:29

yellow and partially green. Maybe

10:31

there's like a note section that you can suggest.

10:35

What's funny is when I, if I got

10:37

real high pitch. I

10:40

used to do. What's

10:42

the one. That used to be

10:45

at Acme and then they stopped.

10:48

No. What's the

10:50

like big grocers. The car.

10:52

Instacart. Yes. I used to do Instacart.

10:54

Then Acme stopped. I think acne actually does

10:57

their own now. But

10:59

the girl who introduced me to Instacart

11:01

said she used to leave notes.

11:04

Because like her son won't

11:06

eat, say a brown banana. So she was like,

11:08

you absolutely cannot give me any. But

11:10

then I remember when I Instacart there was

11:12

no. Where to put notes

11:15

so you can contact your person.

11:18

I don't think it's until they contact you.

11:21

I don't know. I think we should look into this for you. I'm just

11:23

saying on those weeks that you don't have to eat. Protein

11:26

bars for fun. You

11:29

need to try the ones that nothing. Now I'm not going to do

11:31

it. Like little candy bars. So I

11:33

would actually eat them as a dessert. I

11:35

will literally actually just eat a candy bar. I'm

11:39

good. I don't find

11:42

that protein bars are anything,

11:44

but. Healthy.

11:48

Yeah. Good for you. They're not granola

11:50

bars. I know no I'm dental

11:52

care. It's so weird now. I know

11:54

for just protein bars. I'm just not eating

11:56

them as a, like a snack, unless I'm forced to, because

11:58

I'm trying to lose weight or not eat a Snickers

12:01

bar. Otherwise, I would just go eat the

12:03

candy bar. Well, what if you wanted

12:05

to bring something in for lunch?

12:09

That would satisfy you for a

12:11

longer period of time, which protein

12:13

does. So a

12:15

protein bar would actually satisfy

12:17

you longer than even a Snickers, which

12:19

satisfies, you know, So you could just

12:21

eat Snickers for lunch everyday. I mean,

12:23

if I really wanted to, I just drew it on myself.

12:26

Thinking about a snicker. Yeah,

12:28

I mean, No, I would eat a protein bar

12:31

for lunch, like one time,

12:33

but like if I needed a snack and I didn't have

12:35

anything in the house, I'm not going to, and I just

12:37

want it to like, eat something. I'm not going

12:39

to be like, oh my God, there's no protein bar. That is so

12:42

good that I would eat it. Just eat it. Well,

12:44

what if it was the only thing you have in

12:47

the house to eat? I would go to the store. I'm

12:50

just saying I'm not. What

12:52

if you had no car, I couldn't make it to

12:54

the store. And you were starving. Fine.

12:56

And I might eat it, but that's not the case with you. I think

12:58

you were just trying to snack on protein bars. I

13:00

wasn't trying to snack on them. I was actually trying to eat

13:03

something. So I did. That's

13:05

good. That would've been bad. I'm still

13:07

anti protein bar. You're not going to lie.

13:10

I was thinking about this the other day. And everyone's

13:12

like, you have to have protein because it fills you up

13:14

and last longer. That's crap. That

13:17

it fills you up and last longer. Yeah, I

13:19

feel like I can eat pasta.

13:24

And I'm fuller for a long period of time

13:26

because I'm so full. Like protein

13:28

bar or protein shake, or even like

13:31

chicken. Isn't making

13:33

me full for hours. I mean, if

13:35

you eat a whole lot of chicken, I

13:38

don't know. Just so light. Whereas

13:40

like if you eat something heavy, it just

13:42

sits in your stomach. Like, I'm not saying it's

13:44

good. Oh, I'm just saying it sits

13:46

in your stomach, like led so you don't

13:48

want to eat. You're not hungry if I

13:50

like a little chicken. Rap. You

13:53

know, a couple hours later. I'm

13:56

hungry. I agree with that. I feel like the servings

13:58

or. Is not going to fill you up.

14:01

We're gonna want to snack. I hear you, but apparently

14:03

if you eat the right amount of protein, it helps you lose weight

14:05

faster. Well, yes. You

14:08

know what I did bring back into my life last week?

14:10

What. Red red

14:12

peppers. I should have known, I didn't know, they made an

14:14

exit, so that's why I was confused. I

14:17

had to stop for a while. Well, for

14:19

a while, they weren't really good. I'm like in

14:21

the store. And then I bought

14:23

one and it just didn't have a good taste.

14:26

So I was kind of like, I think

14:28

I might've been red pepper out. I don't know why

14:30

for a whole year ate like three of them a day.

14:32

Yes. Friends. She I've

14:34

never seen somebody eat so many red peppers

14:37

in my life. So here's the

14:39

thing. I did this whole weight loss program

14:41

for a year. And obviously

14:43

veggies were a big part of that. And

14:47

I only like limited veggies to begin

14:49

with and I needed something that I could

14:51

have easy on the go to snack

14:53

on as a veggie. And

14:56

there is no other veggie

14:58

that I will. Just be able

15:00

to cut up, put in a bag and eat. I

15:03

won't do that with broccoli. Flower,

15:05

I guess I could, I can eat cauliflower

15:07

raw. No. Kyle thought

15:10

broccoli so much better. Broccoli

15:12

in general. It doesn't matter,

15:14

but I can eat cauliflower

15:16

cooked or raw. I can eat a cooked.

15:18

But probably not playing, like I

15:21

could dip it in hummus and that would be yummy. But

15:23

there's no other, well, I did green beans

15:25

every once in a while. But

15:28

so I didn't have anything. So I had to just depend

15:30

on the peppers, red peppers. Yeah.

15:33

She was turning into a red pepper. I was

15:35

like Willy Wonka. When they turned into

15:37

me, she turned into the big grape. Oh, yeah. And

15:39

I was going to be you turning into. I

15:41

just cannot believe I didn't. It's

15:44

amazing. That's amazing. You know what

15:47

it is. Yes. Well, other than work,

15:49

I didn't have anything exciting happened last week either,

15:52

but I am excited to say I got more Teemu packages

15:54

because I made some returns and I'm getting more Teemu

15:57

this week. So thanks. Really exciting

15:59

for me. Didn't. You have one delivered yesterday? I

16:01

did. And I was some stuff in there. Got

16:04

some bad decorations. Oh,

16:06

How ween. I got a pocket

16:09

umbrella, so it's just like a tiny like person

16:11

Brella. I got a pocket knife.

16:14

You know, for all the things that I might need a pocket knife

16:16

for, to carry around, I would like

16:18

you to tell me one thing you need. When

16:21

I have. I'm

16:24

going to need the pocket knife. So I got one.

16:26

Fair enough. And I got some little beauty

16:29

sponges. Oh, the blenders.

16:31

The blenders. So it was, it wasn't a huge order.

16:33

It was only like five things. Not this time, but

16:36

I also, I'm super excited because if you listened to

16:38

our episode last week, you guys all know that I'm obsessed

16:40

with backs and I love bats. So

16:42

since he came out with that, The new fall,

16:44

Halloween decor. So I also ordered

16:47

a bat warmer. And

16:49

then a little bat. I forget

16:51

they have a name for them, or you can put like a cent in

16:53

'em, but it was a little bat and it's so cute. And I

16:55

ordered that and a false sent to wow.

16:58

So I have things coming. I bought some new

17:01

shoes. For work. Yes.

17:04

Jaunt to DSW Johnson. I want

17:07

to DSW. So

17:09

yeah, I love, and I saw, I have some more packages coming

17:11

in this week, so I'm really excited. I

17:13

was going to the Highlander. I did lay in bed

17:15

this morning and did a little shopping on Timo,

17:17

just putting stuff in my cart. And

17:20

because I did decide I want a new

17:22

cool bag. Oh, okay. So

17:24

I started seeing what they had on there.

17:28

The one thing I found that I put

17:30

in my car. I don't think it's going

17:32

to be a pool bag. I don't know that it's going to be big

17:35

enough, but it popped up because it was also just showing

17:37

like bags. Bags that you can take to the grocery store.

17:40

But it's the cutest turtle bag. Oh,

17:42

so I'm going to get it anyway and

17:44

use it for something. That's cute. I

17:47

do the same thing. I shot. She knew and put things

17:49

in my car. And then either they'll sell

17:51

out before I get there. So then I didn't really need

17:53

it. Or they're still there. And I, once I

17:55

get to a point where I want to get something. I

17:58

buy it. So. That's in a while.

18:00

I get an email saying the price has dropped.

18:03

That's really exciting. I. Love it. I think

18:05

what I'm going to do is I'm going

18:07

to log out of my team who. Right.

18:10

And the night before after I make this, probably this order.

18:13

Done a log out and I'm going to create an account

18:15

for Mike and then I'm going to go and do you know how, like

18:17

you get certain things for that? I'm

18:20

going to make Mike buy me stuff. So that

18:22

way I get some fun stuff for free. Because there's like,

18:24

since there's like cute tops that I want,

18:27

but like, I just refuse to pay more than

18:29

$10 for anything on T-Mobile or why won't

18:31

even pay $10. If it's over five,

18:33

really have to think about it. Same if

18:35

it's. I had to think about it, but I definitely had

18:37

like 10 I'm like, no, I'm not going to do it, but there are

18:39

some key things that I would get. So I'm going to see

18:42

if I can do it. And then if I'll get it super, either free

18:44

or super discounted, because I wanted

18:46

a vacuum for my car. And I can't

18:48

find one under $10. It

18:51

is amazing. So sad. It is sad.

18:54

And speaking of the new

18:56

customer Teemu account. Facebook

18:59

gets me every time, because there'll be like, here's

19:01

a team who, and like, I love that

19:04

top. And then I click on it. For

19:06

new customers. It's like $2

19:08

for me. It's like 12 all the time.

19:11

I'm like, oh, that's when I have to decide, do

19:13

I really want it? Sometimes I'll leave it in

19:15

the car. Cause there's this one that says like, Hollow.

19:18

Thanks miss or something like that. And it's snow.

19:20

That's cute. I love to be themed

19:23

about everything right. So I was

19:25

going to get it, but it's kind of just hanging out there because

19:27

it's more than. So

19:30

anyway, so the other thing is

19:32

I get a lot of ads for clothes and

19:34

stuff on Facebook. And a lot of times

19:36

I'm afraid to order because

19:39

they're sites you've never heard of. And then I always

19:41

read the comments to see if people,

19:43

but then those, you have to be careful with. Sometimes

19:46

pay for people, but. There's

19:48

this top that I've been obsessed

19:51

with. I think I might've shown it from you from modularly.

19:54

Oh yeah. It's legit. Yes.

19:59

They keep popping up on

20:01

my feed and everything that pops up I'm

20:04

obsessed with. Yes. That's

20:06

kind of like. Bloom check

20:08

or bloom sheet. Pops up into

20:10

mind all the time. And they have

20:12

the cutest things and I always want to buy, but they're not.

20:16

They're not like a cheap thing. They're actually

20:18

just it's like clothing. So I haven't bought anything from

20:20

them yet because I just, I'm not there yet. Yeah,

20:22

that's the sticker shock. It comes up in modeling.

20:24

I'm like $30. I see him. I'm

20:27

like, what have you not seen? I'd probably get this in teamwork.

20:29

For two. But I'm

20:32

also very picky with the fabric

20:34

of my clothes. So really careful.

20:36

I think modern Lilly would probably be.

20:39

More my type. Yeah.

20:42

I have a very hard time with like polyester

20:44

and that, because for some reason,

20:46

my body produces an unusual

20:49

amount of static. So

20:51

like even two sweaters I bought from

20:53

sheen last year, even with

20:56

like a tank on underneath, as

20:58

soon as I put it on, it's like, Three,

21:00

if you. I have like a sensitivity. Because

21:04

I feel like I'm electric boogie.

21:06

We'll give Google. Yes. You can kick

21:08

a little, you just might notice it more so like,

21:10

it does give it to you, but I'm wonder if you have a sensitivity

21:12

to how it feels on you and like, it wouldn't be,

21:15

you know, And it's like, literally,

21:17

if you pull the shirt out, you hear

21:19

the static. Maybe you're a superhero.

21:22

Maybe you just haven't figured out your powers yet, because

21:24

that sounds like the start of the superhero. Well,

21:27

I would love to be a superhero, but I really

21:30

only want one power. What's up teleportation.

21:32

Oh, right. I don't know that statics

21:34

on the way to the beginning of the teleportation.

21:37

I mean, I guess flying would be okay,

21:39

but I really just want to teleport. Okay.

21:42

Yeah. Maybe, I mean, maybe I

21:44

need electromagnet, nativity.

21:47

Too. Be able to teleport.

21:50

Maybe my body goes, and

21:53

then I go. That

21:56

is exactly what's going to happen. Just

21:58

like that, making those exact noises. Cool.

22:01

Glove glove. I still

22:04

haven't figured out the soundboard yet. No,

22:06

I'm not going to lie. I haven't even Googled it. You

22:10

know, why. I've been procrastinating.

22:13

Oh, You are

22:15

a big procrastinator because I'm going to really

22:17

need you. You're the tech department of this team.

22:20

And I'm going to need my soundbar. So

22:22

stop procrastinating, please. Well, funny,

22:24

you should say that. Because

22:27

all right, today is the poorest. So everyone's

22:29

going to be listening to this episode on well,

22:31

people should be listening on the fifth. They

22:33

might listen to daily later. Fine. But

22:36

the day. After that. So that will

22:38

be Wednesday. The sixth

22:40

is fight procrastination day. Well,

22:43

then I know what you'll be doing on that. I think

22:45

that I need to Google the sound machine

22:48

on that day. I think so, too. That's

22:50

perfect. Yeah. So

22:52

I know everybody loves when we talk about

22:54

our. Fund holidays.

22:57

I mean, that's a great thing. I need to fight procrastination

23:00

because I am a big procrastinator. I'm

23:02

a huge procrastinator. Now

23:04

there are some times we're

23:06

procrastinating actually. I

23:09

wouldn't say helps me. But it

23:11

helps me do the task better. Oh

23:14

yeah. So like in college, Even

23:16

probably in high school. I always

23:18

left, especially papers. Till

23:21

the last minute and while it would still

23:23

take me a long amount of time.

23:25

It was always a better paper,

23:27

I think because I had to focus and I

23:30

had no more time. It was do or die.

23:32

Right. And I always did my best

23:34

work when I procrastinated. Now the

23:36

rest of my life. Not

23:39

so much. Yes,

23:41

I have. Black press eight, everywhere,

23:43

everything. And I don't think, I don't think

23:45

there's a spot in my life that I don't procrastinate

23:47

on things. I want to not procrastinate

23:50

sometimes, but I just can't seem to do it. I'm like,

23:52

why do it now? When I can still do it later?

23:54

Right? It says 95%

23:57

of us procrastinate to some degree. And

24:00

then 20 to 25 of adults

24:03

worldwide are chronic. Procrastinators.

24:06

Oh, I'm definitely in that category. So

24:09

funny, we should talk about this because

24:11

the chronic procrastinating can

24:13

be linked to your mental health. It's

24:15

linked to depression, anxiety, low self esteem,

24:18

ADHD. I

24:20

mean, that's exactly explains. Explains

24:23

a lot. A lot.

24:26

But, you know, what I, I read that

24:28

I thought was very interesting is

24:31

people often confuse

24:33

procrastination with being lazy. Oh,

24:35

yeah. And they're actually very different.

24:38

So it says I wrote

24:40

this down because I thought it was actually important

24:43

for people to know. So procrastination

24:46

is an active process. You

24:48

choose to do something else instead

24:50

of the task. That you know, you should be

24:52

doing. Whereas laziness.

24:55

It suggests empathy, inactivity

24:57

and an unwillingness to act. So

25:00

when you're procrastinating, you're like I really

25:02

should be doing that. I just don't want to.

25:05

Whereas unwillingness. Like

25:07

you can't do it because you're lazy.

25:09

If that makes sense, does, is it describes

25:12

my husband. He's he's says

25:14

he's a procrastinator, but I'm pretty sure he's

25:16

just lazy sometimes. He just,

25:18

you know, He puts it off because he doesn't wanna do

25:20

it and he's not doing anything else productive. Right.

25:23

So I totally understand. I

25:25

get it. I get it. And. You

25:27

know, I'm sure they. Overlap

25:30

at times. 'cause we always talk about

25:32

like the lack of motivation and

25:34

that's also tied to

25:36

mental health in a lot of ways. My

25:38

psychiatrist and I talk about it. Like if I

25:41

could have a magic pill to make me motivated,

25:43

that would be fantastic. But, you

25:46

know, I wish I had a magic pill

25:48

for a lot of things. Procrastination.

25:51

We'll be one of that motivation.

25:54

I'm down. So somebody, somebody invent one,

25:56

please. So some

25:59

tips to stop procrastinating.

26:01

So everybody try one of these tips on Wednesday.

26:04

All right. And then we'll. Tell us about that.

26:06

So start small. Break

26:09

your large tasks and just smaller chunks,

26:11

which we all know that helps. Make

26:13

a plan. So set times

26:16

and dates that you're going to do specific

26:18

things that actually has helped me at work.

26:21

So there's one task that I have to do.

26:24

Pretty much ongoing once meeting

26:26

start happening. And it

26:28

is just. The

26:31

worst. It's just, you

26:33

get frustrated. It's.

26:36

Tedious. It's just like

26:38

one of those things. And I used to put it off

26:40

and put it off and put it off because it was, it's the worst

26:43

thing in the world. Now I started

26:45

scheduling it on my calendar,

26:47

so I check. Out like four hours

26:49

and whether I want to do it or not, this

26:51

is when it's on my calendar. So when you set

26:54

it and actually give yourself a date and time,

26:56

You almost feel like you should have to hold

26:58

to it because you already scheduled the time out. It

27:00

does actually help. I'm not gonna lie. Another

27:04

tip is finished things. So

27:06

when you spot a task, that's nearly done

27:08

put in the extra effort to get it over the

27:10

finish line. So, you know,

27:12

don't give up. It's funny. I have

27:14

been working out the last week. This

27:17

week. It's my new. So now that I'm

27:19

back on normal schedule. I don't have to start.

27:22

Not that I had to, but not that I'm now

27:24

that I'm not starting work at 6:00 AM. You

27:26

can actually get up later. And

27:29

at that workout shower and still

27:31

get to work on time. Nice. But

27:34

the trainer that I've been doing the programs

27:36

with talks about like, just pushing that

27:38

little extra, like you're already there. You're doing

27:40

it. So just finish it. Just

27:43

get your mindset and just finish it. You

27:46

have to deal with distractions. I will

27:48

say everything I read

27:50

was. The

27:52

distractions that cause you to procrastinate,

27:55

social media, being a huge one. That's

27:57

my worst. Yep. And now with

27:59

me, my biggest distraction is bingeing

28:01

shows. Yes. Which

28:03

by the way. New ultimatum

28:06

and love is blind released on Netflix.

28:08

Oh, yeah. But I have to finish

28:11

my current show cause I can't overlap shows.

28:13

I know we have to finish. Our current love is blind. Right?

28:16

No. You have to finish. I love island.

28:18

That's right. Yes. And we're

28:21

really struggling with this. Penn

28:23

state played at night. And then

28:26

next week we're going to be gone. Oh

28:28

the week before my mom was here.

28:31

I mean, we've been procrastinating. I love.

28:36

And the biggest thing they say when you're procrastinating

28:39

is be kind to yourself. Because

28:42

no one ever finishes their to do list.

28:44

So don't beat yourself up about it. I love

28:47

it. It seems like great tips.

28:49

It's funny. One of the other things that

28:51

I saw, so they. Labeled

28:54

it as aim to eat an

28:56

elephant beetle. First thing every

28:58

day. So basically that's

29:00

get those tasks that you find the least pleasant

29:03

out of the way early. There's

29:05

a book. Is it gym room.

29:08

I dunno. Is it about eating? Oh,

29:12

that's Brian. Tracy. Brian. Tracy. Yeah.

29:14

Yeah. And that's basically the

29:16

entire premise of that book. Isn't

29:19

there. Another one is Like an elephant

29:21

one bite at a time or something like that? Or is that just saying,

29:23

oh, I don't know. I haven't seen that. I don't know if it's a book

29:25

or just to say. But I have read.

29:28

I think it's called eat that frog. It is. Yeah.

29:30

But same premise, like look at your, to do

29:32

list, pick the one that sucks

29:34

the most and just get it done because

29:37

everything else will feel like. A

29:39

breeze. To that point. So

29:42

I love. That's

29:44

a good day to celebrate it's a positive day.

29:47

It is. So my goal.

29:49

On Wednesday. Is to Google

29:52

the sound board. I'm going to do it. I'm going

29:54

to put it on my phone.

29:56

Reminder. And I'm going to put on my phone, remind

29:59

Tracy, that she's supposed to be. Doing

30:01

a soundboard so that we can have fun. Sounds. What

30:03

are you going to do on fight

30:05

procrastination day? I'm not

30:08

sure. Why did it come up?

30:10

Have you been procrastinating on some shit?

30:13

On my, on doing my October

30:15

graphics. So that's probably

30:17

what I'll work on, but I might actually be

30:19

done. Wednesday, because I started

30:21

yesterday. I got, First of energy and decided

30:24

that I was going to work on them and I'm going to do probably

30:26

some today. So. I

30:28

don't know if they're not done by Wednesday. That's what I'll

30:30

be doing to make sure that they get done sooner than

30:32

later. You could always jump into November.

30:34

I could. Yeah. Get ahead because before

30:36

you were like three months ahead. I know. And I

30:38

go out and now you're working. So I

30:41

know. I'm not

30:43

going to procrastinate. No procrastinating.

30:46

So, yeah. You know just a little

30:48

a little fun day this week I'm

30:50

like we have some exciting holidays coming up

30:52

later in the month that we cannot tell you

30:54

about because We're going to have to

30:56

surprise you and i know you guys are looking

30:58

forward to them oh you should be

31:01

but i wanted to say i think there

31:03

are a couple other ones this week.

31:06

So the seven Is

31:09

national beer lovers day oh that's

31:11

a great On thursday make sure everybody

31:13

cheers Cheers and

31:16

the 10th, when is the 10th? is that next

31:19

It's Like a monday the ninth or

31:21

sunday is sunday yes Because the

31:23

wedding is on the ninth. That is for sunday

31:25

football season So nice Well

31:29

it's also national hug your

31:31

hound day Ah, that's

31:33

so so you give all your pups, a big

31:35

hub I Can i give them hugs every single day and

31:38

i try to when he does not like she says

31:41

Get the fuck off my yeah. We were

31:43

having a little TIFF right now Nice She's

31:46

driving me crazy Well maybe if you give her

31:48

more hugs Yeah. Which

31:50

will Leave me alone Maybe it should be

31:52

like i'm not going near that bitch. she keeps talking to me Every time I

31:54

go near her oh my god so i do have

31:56

to tell everybody because this was the

31:58

funniest thing i've ever seen for winning So

32:01

on saturday night nicole and mike were

32:03

at my house and we were watching the penn state

32:05

game So typically

32:07

when we're hanging out Nicole

32:09

said, i sit in my normal spot which is like

32:11

the forerunner of like

32:13

a sectional and then nicole sits on

32:15

the other side of the couch and then

32:17

i have a chair that usually mike Lounges

32:20

in Well behind

32:23

Or where nicole sits and behind

32:25

her head is usually Winnie

32:28

spot So there's a blanket

32:30

and she'll either snuggle with the blanket

32:33

or she likes to sit on the back of the couch

32:35

because the couch cushion is like indented

32:37

and she gets all snuggled down in

32:39

there Well typically

32:43

when nicole's here we'll just put the blanket in

32:45

between us and she'll go down there sometimes

32:47

she'll still jump behind but you know

32:49

It doesn't usually work so she just snuggles down

32:52

on the blanket Well this

32:54

week mike decided to come

32:56

sit on the couch with us so he was

32:58

in between us on the couch And

33:02

penny. Vinny was pissed

33:04

She was She was

33:06

staring at me And then

33:09

she would get down off the couch and go sit

33:11

in front of nicole and stare at nicole

33:14

And then come back over and

33:16

she did this i want to say for like an

33:18

hour like he did she would I

33:21

just get out of my seat and then she come over

33:24

me and be like get that bitch out of my seat

33:26

And i said ah i'm not moving

33:29

and what was funny is eventually you did

33:31

go over to the other cow. I. And

33:35

She was living her best life then But

33:37

it was serious because you're always

33:39

in that same spot But

33:41

i guess she wasn't she didn't have

33:43

her little blanket so it was actually Mike's

33:45

fault let's be honest It wasn't me

33:48

But i had to share that because i was

33:50

texting everyone and cracking up because she's

33:53

never done that and and it was so blatant

33:55

Yeah she's given me like the death stare. Hmm

33:59

hmm He would just stare

34:01

at me and then get down and literally sit

34:03

her ass right in front of you and stare at you.

34:06

She's funny she's so cute but i

34:08

didn't care i wasn't giving off the spot They've

34:11

given mike the dirty looks because he was really the

34:13

ones taking her She

34:15

did Go up to him at one point she

34:17

did Everybody

34:19

loves Mike babies and kids and dogs I

34:22

don't know why If he wants a little yorkie

34:24

you let me know I'm sure i'm sure i can get

34:30

all right So well since

34:32
