Arizona native and author Ashleen O'Gaea sits down with KaliSara and RevKess to talk about raising children in the Craft. She is the author of several books and novels that address children in the modern Pagan world. Ashleen is the author of Family Wicca and Raising Witches among other nonfiction and fiction.

From her Amazon author page: Sometimes I have to remind myself that I'm not quite an Arizona native; I was born in the Pacific Northwest, but can't imagine calling anywhere but Tucson home.

I've written quite a few novels, ranging from contemporary to fantasy, and including a set of stories for children and a chapter book for middle-schoolers. My non-fiction work ranges from a variety of books about Wicca - because I'm a fully ordained Wiccan priestess - to one about West Highland White Terriers! And of course I've always got more stories and books in the pipeline.

I'm a member of the Gecko Gals Ink (GeckoGalsInk.blogspot.com), a group of five Tucson authors who write in a wide range of genres, meet the public at book events all over town, offer seminars for authors at all levels of expertise and aspiration, and sponsor the All-Zona Book Fest every autumn.

I'm on the board of the Mother Earth Ministries-ATC, a Tucson-based Neo-Pagan prison ministry (www.MotherEarthMinistries.org). I'm also a co-founder of the Tucson Area Wiccan-Pagan Network (www.TAWN.org).

In our spare time (!) 'dancer and I love to entertain; we like to camp and travel, too, especially to Celtic Festivals, where we often hold a booth for our Scottish clan (MacCallum-Malcolm), and sometimes get to show off our West Highland White Terriers, Wee Dram (Ch Headsup Highland Adventure) and Isla, whose formal name is Islay Single Malt.

Speaking of single malt, I take mine neat.
