In pageantry, we can often shy away from the difficult conversations. Part of the fear is looking silly on the journey to educate ourselves, but the additional issue when you are involved with pageantry is that it could affect your chances of winning. But more and more, judges and directors are coming out to say silence and ignorance speak just as loudly as asking questions and speaking up.
