George Polachek was a dedicated, passionate western PA trail kid.  George was one of many talented riders and trail builders in the Pittsburgh BMX scene who seemed to have the right attitude and skill set to be around in BMX for a long long time.  However, just as George was starting to gain some recognition (pics in a few major BMX publications and clips in videos) and secure some longevity within the sport, he seemingly disappeared.  Recently, after nearly two decades, George and I reconnected and I was in awe of what he's been up to since his departure from BMX.  He transferred his passion for riding BMX to flying planes, quite literally jet-setting around the world.  He loves what he does as a corporate pilot, yet reflects fondly on the times that he spent in the woods of western, PA with a bike and a shovel.  This is my friend, George Polachek.  Enjoy.
