This week the Part-Time Characters get together and discuss some of the best scifi films from the 1970s and how their creativiy paved the way for other amazing classics. Close Encounters of the Third Kind is celebrating its 40th anniversary which inspired Sam to select this week's topic and show Bridget and Maria how many 70's movies they need to watch.
We also introduce a new segment to start the conversation called Lightning Round. Basically, we select a topic (this week we chose our favorite villains we love to hate) and we quickly select and talk about the first villain that comes to mind. We do another bonus round for any honorable mentions that come up in the process. Let us know what you think about this segment and if you'd like to hear more of it.
Quick announcement: We were thinking about starting a new type of episode where we focus on just one movie for 45 minutes and talk about it in depth. We are still brainstorming which movies would be great to talk about for a long period of time. If you like this idea, leave us some movie suggestions in the comments. Next week we will create a poll for you to vote on the movie you'd like to hear us talk about.Send us a message!
